TAMPA — The Orlando Magic- Miami Heat exhibition game at the St. Pete Times Forum has been cancelled after referees consulted with the league office in New York.

The arena's court is still slippery in spots after an improper cleaning agent was used on the wood surface.

Earlier, Magic coach Stan Van Gundy would not answer directly when asked whether he thinks the court is safe for his players and Miami's players.

"It's hard for me to say," Van Gundy said. "I know some of them don't think so. Look, we're all the same. You're sort of caught. You've got a full house, and I think it's always good to perform in front of these people that aren't in NBA cities. At the same time, you can't endanger guys. That's what they've got to figure out now. It's got to be safe to play on."
