How to fix the Heat

Since there have been a lot of how to fix the Hawks threads, and probably everyone (almost) has watched the Finals, you are Riley - how would you fix the Heat? Money is no object, anyone can be traded, fired, etc.

Not sure they need anything different other than time. They will lose several of their guys to FA and I'm sure there will be a line of other players wanting to play with them.

They really weren't that far behind Dallas, so may not take much more than time.

I wonder if Mike Bibby won't be back given that they sat him in game 6. Its odd, but he never seemed to hit his stroke for Miami in the playoffs. Had he been shooting 3s like he did with the Hawks this year, could have ben a much different finals.

Find two more starters. How easy that is is really going to be dependent on the new CBA but for now they may be committed to Wade, Bron, Bosh, Joel Anthony and Mike Miller plus Udonis are bound to be healthier next season. They just extended a QO to Chalmers so their intents are to keep him but all of that ancient wood they had on the bench from Juwan to Magloire to Bibby to Dampier to Ilgauskas all need to go and I'm sure there would be a few others willing to take their place.

If amnesty is actually awarded then all bets are off because plenty of decent guys from Rip to Baron would be mighty interested in playing down in South Beach if they are still making their full salary in addition to whatever minimum deal Miami throws at them.

Instead of signing a bunch of waning vets, they need to sign some younger guys who want to play with the Three Egos.

Sign Dalembert with MLE & Brooks or Ford with BAE if any of those exceptions exist in the new CBA.
