Moderators AHF Posted January 16, 2013 Moderators Report Share Posted January 16, 2013 It is also a little unfair to even talk about that since they play South Carolina every year and they are clearly a bottom tier SEC team until recently. http://cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/div_ia/acc/clemson/vs_conf_opponents.php?confid=177&start=1970&end=2012 And for some ACC "bragging", the SEC does not have a winning record against Duke, Maryland, and UNC. Strange, huh?http://cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/div_ia/sec/vs_conf_byteam.php?confid=11 Not really. Duke, Maryland, and UNC got their winning records against South Carolina in every case. They would all have had losing records but for the fact that they played South Carolina so much more than other SEC and all had great records. The theme for all those records is Duke (almost 50% of SEC matchups), Maryland (>33% of SEC matchups) and North Carolina (>40% of SEC matchups) enjoyed beating up on one of the SEC's historic weak sisters of the poor in South Carolina.
