Guest Posted June 12, 2002 Report Share Posted June 12, 2002 I gotta admit, I didn't think Pendleton would make much difference with this kid. Boy was I wrong! He's on fire! He's gonna hit 45 homers and draw 100 walks at this rate. Those are monster numbers...Jason Giambi numbers, ARod numbers. He's carrying the team, too, as Chipper and Sheffield haven't really gotten in a groove. Too bad we still depend on sub .700 OPS players like Lopez and Castilla in the lower part of the order. But really the entire team is picking it up hitting wise. Chipper is still hitting great, just not hitting for power. Sheff is coming on and Furcal is back to his old self.
