Wren is usually pretty honest when talking to the media about the Braves plans. Things always could change. It is looking a low key type of offseason for them compare to last year. A good interview with him nonetheless.

From what i can tell the team we have today is pretty much the team we'll have leaving spring training. The fact that the Braves front office had "sticker shock" to the contracts being offered shows they completely misunderstood the market. Every other team seems to be using their national tv contract money, while the Braves seem to be contracting (after adjusting for MLB inflation). The big signing for this club appears to be a starting pitcher coming off Tommy John surgery.

Atlanta sports is about to enter into a real dark age again.
