A Question about NBA League Pass

I just found out that if I pre-order NBA 2k23 they will include a 1 year subscription to NBA League pass. You get that, the game, and some other trinkets for 149.99. To avoid games being blacked out would I need to get a relative in another city sign up for me or it doesn't work like that?

You always will have blackouts in markets where you live. But can watch games in markets outside of that one.
