Premium Member Diesel Posted February 11, 2004 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 11, 2004 I was watching Tues. Night Fast Break last night. That's a funny show. Greg Anthony really seems to dislike Ric. He put him in his place a few times. Ric said that Atlanta will be in the tank to get Howard. And that Howard was this year Lebron in that respect. BUT... I don't see it. First off, Sheed and Person will be playing for contracts. Nazr will be playing to show that he's a good C. The only way I can see us go in the tank is if we can trade JT/Diaw/Nazr now. It's possible, we would have to work with Denver or Utah to move JT though. Plainview1981
IF(and it's a big IF) Sheed can produce 19PPG 9RPG we might be better than we would have been if we kept the same team. The way I figure it is that Person should get about 29MPG and he'll probably shoot about 45%fg 41%3pt and average about 11PPG....His outside shooting is something the team hasn't had in a long time. Nazr playing 29MPG also is about a 11PPG 9RPG.....Statwise the two of them together actually could outproduce Reef/Theo since Theo doesn't produce much other than blocked shots. This could be a better shooting team than the team has had in a while.
swolehawk2
for thinking the same thing....i don't know how this thing will affect us defensively for the next 30 games...but I could see a 4th qtr set up with Sheed in the post ...(he is tall enough to find open shooters) and the perimeter laced with Jax JT and Person with Nazr cleaning up the O glass because of the double teaming of Sheed.....I can dream can't I. We are thin behind Sheed and Nazr...I guess they will activate Hendu now. I teel you one thing...it is going to be interesting to see how this plays out for all involved. Plainview1981
Well Reef will get the chance to prove everyone(including myself) wrong about producing on a playoff team. Naturally I expect his numbers will drop to about 18PPG 8RPG..But lets see how he plays in Portland. It will be interesting to see what JT/Person/Jackson/Sheed/Nazr can do..... I suspect Boris will get backup minutes at PG/SG/SF so he should still get plenty of playing time.
Weez
it's a shame that he's got no position/ is out of position out there....
