Guest
Atlanta Sends: Email/Nazr/Hendu/JT to Seattle. Seattle Sends: Lewis (SNT)/Booth/Barry to Dallas. Dallas Sends: NVE/Lafrentz (SNT)/CC to Miami Miami Sends: Jones/Grant/Forte to Atlanta. First part of the deal............. Seattle would love to have JT/GP if only for a short while. Also, they may lose Lewis for Nothing so they would look to trade him. Second part. Dallas would love to have a SF like Lewis so that they could move Finley to the 2 and Dirk to the 4. They give up NVE and Lafrentz but the deal is fair. Third Part. Miami would really love 2 things. 1. A good PG. 2. To get out of Grant and Jone's contracts. In the deal they get Lafrentz too. Mourning/Lafrentz/Butler.... Awesome Frontcourt. Fourth. We take on Grant's contract However we get Jones/Forte. Jones Solidifies our defense. Forte is a scorer off the bench. 4 way complete. Guest
Theo/Bennett(?) SAR/Haslem(?)/Grant DJ/Toni/Ira Jones/Glover DD/Forte This lineup wouldn't be so bad? Defensively, we stop everyone.
Admin chillzatl Posted July 24, 2002 Admin Report Share Posted July 24, 2002 To me the ONLY benefit of getting E.Jones would be to have him playing along side JT. You'd have two guys who can fill the SG/PG role in tandem. That would probably be the highest scoring backcourt in the NBA, period. Without JT I have very little desire for Jones though. Sure he's a good defensive player but I'd need more to sweeten the pot than just B.Grand and Forte and apart from their new draft pick miami doesn't have much to offer. Traceman
I don't think Lewis is any better than JT, they just play different positions. Lewis is not a max player. He is not a great defender or ballhandler. He is a very good perimeter shooter, he's athletic and he rebounds pretty well. I'd LOVE to have him but not at the expense of JT. The other guys in the deal really mean nothing. Besides, I fail to see how this deal helps Seattle in any way.
Guest
DD/DJ/Lewis all three starting is a very inexperienced like lineup.I like Lewis alot, but I'm honestly not want to trade JT I don't think unless some knocks our socks off with a deal.
