Bringing international players to Atlanta.

Yo, i was thinking why doesn't Billy Knight try and get international players like Sarunas Jasikevius and a few other good ones to play for Atlanta. If they are giving that much trouble to the international American team they should be good in the NBA. Plus many of them can probably come cheap. If we mix a few of those players with american athletic players we should be a good team, shouldn't we? Your thoughts?

thing is- would they make good NBA players?

in the international game, Sarunas Jasikevius is more valuable than Stephon Marbury.

in the NBA, guys like Stephon Marbury have a better chance at success.

cuz if guys like Jasikevius came here, the lack of emphasis on team play will kill his game. whos gonna pass him the ball when selflish players prefer goin one-on-one?

Makes you think that maby the NBA game is not the best brand of basketball being played.

I would rather watch the foreign style over the NBA style anytime. It is just a more pure brand of basketball being played the way the sport is suppose to be played in my opinion.

Puts the team concept and the emphasis on fundamentals back into the sport, two things that the NBA has been noticeably lacking in recent memory.

EXACTLY.

So far, I see no ballhogs on this Atlanta team(okay...Maybe Walker to some extent but he's going to be the #1 option, though). And hopefully, we won't end up with a Jerry Stackhouse either.

thats perfect! however, how many NBA players play like that? But then again, we have DIAW who would LOVE to play that type of ball. its a good idea. WALKER is somewhat of a ball hog, but hes not THAT BAD like some of the others in this league.

honestly, wat we're talkin about here- is 1 reason i dont play basketball as much. Its all about one-on-one games. Several times in a pickup game, i see a 3-pt specialist wide open yet the ED-GRAY-WANNABE doesnt give him the ball!

open ur eyes and watch a game at a local park... see how the guys play. its all about HIGHLIGHTS in the US. Hustle and teamball means absolutely nothing.
