We Need To go for a superstar in the draft

Almost every year, the Hawks have a team that would be a championship contender if they only had a superstar. Look at Sura in Houston, and Terry in Dallas, and even Dickau in New Orleans. I am willing to bet that if dickau would have been playing on the floor with Baron they would be an elite team along with Magloire being healthy. These things have brought me to the conclusion that we go all out in the draft and pick up every highschooler we can. That means Gerald with our first, Blathce with our 2nd, and trade both Harrington and Walker so we can pick up Monta Ellis and louis williams with 2 mid first round pick. Hopefully one of those four players within two seasons will be a superstar. Then we will be championship, or at least conference contenders. With all of that talent we are bound to reach stardom.

Basically we would have

Gerald(McGrady)

Blatche(Less athletic Garnett)

L.WIlliams(better passing Francis)

M. Ellis(Taller Iverson)

Along with Childress, Smoove, and Diaw(if he ever confused France with Atlanta) we could be a dynasty for decades

i'm all for trading harrington and walker for 1sts...then we have 3 firsts

take bogut and best pg left...then take most potential with the last 1st and our 2nds

maybe even get another second for delk...

but as of now, i want bogut with our first, a pg with our 2nd

They say he will be the next TMAC. I think Billy will draft the guy he thinks is the best. I don't think hell draft by position.

High schoolers are no more of a sure thing than anyone else. I know a lot of high schoolers have turned into superstars, but it's not a sure bet. We should draft the best talent on the board regardless of their background.
