cyman3
payrolls and never win a championship... its cuz of stupid moves like that (or signing Allan Houston to a LONG HUGE CONTRACT). In fact, Knicks should have done the trade just for the SALARY REASONS. Mutombo is a free agent after what??? 2 years?
Traceman
Do you really think Philly would have traded Deke for Thomas/Knight/Ward when they got Van Horn/McCullough instead? That is preposterous! Ward and Knight have ZERO value so which two players were the Sixers going to put with DC to bring back a significant player in return? Thomas and Ward? Say they offered DC, Thomas and Ward. Who is that package going to get that is better than Van Horn, McCullough AND Coleman? I don't believe it. I think it's more of the NY media's dreams. Besides, I'm sure that Van Horn, McCullough and Coleman would get a better return than Thomas, Ward and Coleman any day!
Guest
Actually now they are saying that the report is wrong and that Philly wanted Spree/Thomas for Mutombo....I don't think I would do that trade if I was NY.
