cyman3
WOAH! summer league or not, 39 points is 39 points! great shooting night. 11-19 w/ 16-19 free throws. Josh Smith and Josh Childress both played well. i think Sean May will have a great year w/ the bobcats.

clrumph
Too bad it won't be on NBA TV. They don't even have this game on their schedule. In the words of Florida Evans on Good Times in the episode where James died: Damn, Daaaamn, Daaaaamn!!!!
emeans
Salim Stoudemire is going to be the man in the ATL. This kid has superstar written all over him. Being drafted in the 2nd round was a steal for this guy. Atlanta got a gem!! You are right Sean May is a beast. He has played well in every single game in the Summer League. Sean May will be the next Charles Barkley. Royal Ivey will not make this team. He is not even playing by the coaches decision.
clrumph
Yeah I think Ivey is headed to the D League to learn how to play point. Either that or just outright waived, but I think he plays defense well enough to at least hold onto for another year.

Admin capstone21 Posted July 23, 2005 Admin Report Share Posted July 23, 2005 its the same thing every summer. People act like these summer league games really mean anything. It does not matter how good or crappy a player or team plays. It means nothing.
BlackHawkDown
I'm glad somebody else recognizes this. Jesus people have been going wild over these things for about 4 years no 7 if you count the old AA board.
TheDude
my first reaction was the same BUT it's not just this last game...he's shown his shot all summer or at least the willing to take charge..and this shows he was shooting a lower percentage for awhile and he pulled himself out of it...this guy will be a scorer.. it's not that he scored all those points that gets people excited, it's scoring them when everyone thought you'd be a scorer and that's the first game you do something like that......it's hope that maybe we're right. Think of 10 trade proposals that may benefit our team? talk about Bogut being a bust, without seeing him play in the regular season? theres nothing better to talk about right now this free agency waitin period SUCKS!!!!
