  1. I like this but i wouldnt draft Larkin, I would draft Deshawn THomas to play the SF Also I wouldnt sign Brewer, or Dalembert...I would resign Zaza and Kyle Korver
  2. Mayo = no thank you...we can draft a guy that would be cheaper with better shot selection Ariza = Garbage too Plus Paul will not come here without another superstar...this team would be worse than his current team....smdh
  3. The Pacers and Memphis are good teams and they play to their strengths...as simple as that...They dont have SF/PF taking ill advised shots or pretending to be a PG.
  4. Media is bandwagoning reporters who always bashed Atlanta b/c everyone else did during the BK years...and eventhough we have made some strides since then we are still deemed the fair weather fanbase that cheer for opposing teams, and never really buyin to the Atlanta Hawks as a legitimate force in the league....and you know what- Ferry is trying to change that culture- Hopefully we can change the mainstream media's opinion b/c once we get a legit team they will fall in line adoring the franchise like they do the all the other top franchises
  5. You do realize that their is a correlation to under performing small market teams and the lottery right? The mindset of the big market teams is simply to spend and consume what they can to stay relevant. Cleveland actually had the 2nd best odds of winning the lottery behind the Magic so not much of a stretch....If that were true then the Hawks should of had the #1 pick atleast once during all the times we sucked.
  6. What a joke..this would have merit if the Knicks, Lakers, Boston, Chicago - the big markets somehow worked their way into the lottery...Cleveland will draft the talent the big market teams will still lure them away..no rigging necessary
  7. This draft from a scout/gm perspective doesnt have a clear cut superstar, but the draft has a few star potential players, and quite a few who could be starters for a lot teams in the league. With that said the Hawks can't afford to stand pat with the 17th & 18th pick
  8. This is actually important to the Hawks, b/c depending on where teams like Charlotte, Kings fall may have an opportunity to trade with...Charlotte already went on record saying they are exploring trading down - depending on where they land.
  9. Well- the Hawks have to chart our own course and Ferry has a few key decisions to make...how to trade up in the draft and whether Jeff Teague is the future point guard of the Hawks. If not then we can certainly package a deal to move up and grab Oladipo, Burke etc., and sign Al Jefferson to hold down the middle. That way we will have a great combination of young talent with front court depth (after resigning Zaza). The lottery tonight will begin the early stages of identifying who to target if we intend on moving up in the draft.
  10. The Toughest part would be convincing Chris Paul to leave LA.....i just don't see that happening...but one has to dream
  11. Nate is a very good coach - an upgrade to Woody and Larry...
  12. Ferry needs to make a big name hire if we really want to have any chance of attracting star power free agents. SVG and Avery Johnson would be good hires. Slight edge to SVG
  13. Pride before the fall....Danny Ferry is doing his due diligence and Larry Drew needs to be showcasing his professionalism during this time period as well. He will be fine, but this is a business
  14. Jenkins is solid, but call me bias but Tim Hardway Jr is a better all around player and that is probably who we will draft...dont see both Dwight and Paul coming, but i wouldnt be surprise if the Hawks made a trade for Rondo with the celtics thinking about rebuilding..
  15. The only person that makes sense is Al-Jefferson - although I'm extremely weary of signing him to a big contract

    Draft trade?

If anything the Hawks will trade to get into the Top 10...not sure a few spots up does us any good / value wise
  17. Simpler solution would be to explore a trade to give us a younger version on Allen = Victor Oladipo. Hawks need a star, so we shouldnt waste money on any players that will just get us to the status quo...which is for us making the playoffs and getting ousted in 1st round.
  18. Don't kid yourself...the Bulls probably wont win another game..unless of course Rose returns
  19. Ha ha...damn i always mess his name up...
  20. We should definitely try to trade up into the Lottery....not sure how Ferry can do it though, unless he is willing to part with Jeff Teague...I always held out hope that a S&T to a team with lottery pick but after that new CBA it really doesnt give us nor the player any advantage in doing that... Otto Porter, Victor Olapido would be great picks if Ferry could wield his magic. I figure he was able to move Joe Johnson's contract so anything is possible..
  21. Well sure if we can grab one of those superstars then yea....b/c all of them except Howard is a Floor Leader....although Durant is having major trouble without Westbrook now
  22. I guess you didnt watch College Basketball all year then..
