  1. He has the same bookie as Ohtani and just noticed the point spread.
  2. I’m not a Hawks OG. I didn’t really follow until I moved to Atlanta in 99.
  3. Damn. There goes JJ’s chance at MIP.
  4. Man starts dabbling in hockey, next thing you know he’s got a broken tooth and a cracked jaw. Get well soon Soth.
  5. I wouldn’t be upset. Cs fans probably would be though.
  6. Both guys who hustle. Both probably 2-3 year projects before reaching a top 9 rotation on the roster though.
  7. One (albeit minor) benefit of having a mid-late 1RP this year instead of next is we’d be one year ahead in the development schedule of whatever player we get. 2025 player has the potential to be better than this year, but no guarantee and we’ll have to wait even longer to find out.
  8. No, but I guess I can see Reed’s impact much more consistently when he’s on the floor than I do with Dillingham.
  9. Dilligham is good, but he doesn’t even start. I have a hard time confidently projecting him. He’s a microwave off the bench who often has pretty quiet games until the last eight minutes or less of the game. He turns it on when it counts the most. SG-wise, Antonio Reeves is a walking bucket. His age will go against him in the draft, but he will be a great SG/OG off the bench for someone. Not a starting PG, but can be a secondary ball handler. He will get you points.
  10. Oooooohhhhh…. You’re talking this is the last year for Ignite. Your first response to my post I thought you were talking about the last year for UK. I’m guessing @AHF may have thought the same, too.
  11. Oh I know. Cal has his faults, producing NBA players isn’t one. I doubt Ignite will ever have UKs success rate.
  12. “as advertised” Who was advertising we had depth? They need to fire their marketing department.
  13. If you pay him 3/30, IMO he has to better than a 15 million dollar player since you’re paying 30 for basically two years of service. Sadly, I’m not certain I’d want to pay him that before the injury. I’m even less comfortable making that bet post injury.
  14. Unready to be a starter, or unready to be a rotational player? I wouldn’t expect any player to be an immediate starter from this draft, but I could see some being rotational players at least by New Years next year if not sooner. Some, not all.
  15. I think it’s useful if you want to project their projected impact in their first year or two in the league.
  16. What’s Lance Stephenson up to these days?
  17. to all of this Murray and Bogi would net the best returns. I really like Bogi, but this is the first year he’s been healthy (knock on wood) in like five years. Sell high. If we traded both, drafted Knecht and signed a vet PG to backup Trae for 10 minutes a game, do you think Trae-vet-Kobe-Knecht backcourt could hold its own next year? That could be a tough ask from such a young SG tandem. If we heavily invested in upgrades/depth with our 3, 4, 5 positions, maybe that would alleviate enough pressure for them to work. Co-sign
  18. Running out of beds in the Hawkspital.
  19. I think the only real change that I would have to take into consideration would be how the Trae/DJ backcourt look in the run. If they seem to finally click in a positive partnership, buying into what Quin is selling, then I would consider keeping both guys. A run wouldn’t change my opinion of keeping Trae and JJ off limits, or being open to trading anyone else on the roster for the right deal to improve the team. It may affect what I would consider in trades, i.e. if the returns are for near (players, 2025 picks) or far term assets (2026 and later picks).
  20. Great game. University of Tang really need someone else that can step up beyond Knecht. He played practically the whole game and I think he just got tired at the end.
  21. Happening now for any squawkers interested in tuning in to check out a bunch of draft prospects in one game, plus one on UT.
