The Grizzliez game is scheduled tomorrow at 8 on FSS. Tonight game game is not. Which isn't isn't a bad thing. I rather this game not be on TV than tomorrows.

I like Jon Barry. He the only one who pays attention to the Hawks(because he lives here and PLAYED WITH Josh). He use to bash us because of his hatred for Mike Woodson. I noticed that every since We didn't resign Mike Woodson he has been very nice about the Hawks.

He'll never be a dominate rebounder because he relies on his athleticism to rebound and he doesn't box out consistantly. I will say he doesn't use much athleticism offensively outside of lobs which is a good or bad thing depending on your opinion. *waits for MaceCase or somebody to come and start a agument based on my last sentence* Anyway I expect a big game from him from him. He usually plays well against the nuggets.

He turns 27 and got a game on national tv. Hopefully he has a big game and and we win.

The Hawks @ Nuggets game will now be televised by ESPN next WED Dec 5th. Hawks @ Heat will NOT be shown on ESPN on feb 20th. Instead ESPN loses their mind and replaces it the damn Hornets vs Cavs.

Lakers getting Josh makes alot of sense.1) Josh >>/= Gasol but he fits the uptempo offense they run.2) Josh settling for jumpers wouldn't be an issue cause Kobe wouldn't have that shit. Hell LA the city and fans would let josh HAVE IT.3) Dwight wants to play with Josh but Dwight doesn't want to play for the Hawks.I knew Josh would play like crap the first few games because that's how he usually plays the first few games his first 8 seasons. He'll be alright but if he won't resign then Josh to the Lakers for Gasol and whoever else is probably the Hawks best option.

I knew Smith would struggle to start the season. He always do that. He never started the season strong so him playing like booty offensively doesn't shock me. Not saying you huys don't have legit concerns but I'll withhold my thoughts on him(and the team) until the 25th game.

The rebounding and defense will be an isssue but we will still have a winning record at the end of the season. Josh Smith, Jeff Teague and Al Horford just has to get comfortable with life after Joe Johnson, the new guys have to find their roles and Larry Drew has to figure out his rotation. Lets calm down. It's the first of 82 games.

Not surprised by Josh Smith's mediocre game. Has he ever had a good season opener? He will be fine. Well Josh Smith will never be a superstar. There's only 10 of them and they are Lebron, D-Wade, Durant, Westbrook, Chris Paul, Howard, Carmelo, Kobe, Dirk and D-Will. He doesn't have to be becuase he has been pretty got damn good player. I think us fans just want a marketable player which I think Smith is starting to become.I DO think Smith will have a monster season. Even better last year. I think he puts 20-23 points this season and makes his first all star.

If you're trying to say that this team is setting him up to fail by making him the #1 option on offense then I understand. I personally think he will be fine. Nothing super special but he will do his thing this season.However This thread is about to turn into a Josh Smith Fans vs Josh Smith detractors. I guess threads like this are needed to spice up this website before the season starts.

Offensively I don't see Al improving whether he is the 5 or 4. Defensively he would benefit.I'm still iffy on this team. I have no clue how we are going to do. I guess that's why I'm actually excited to see this team and hopefully we can creep up on people.

I wish they had a shot chart for preseason games. I want smith to shoot around 60% of his shots in the paint this season.

25 a game? I love your boldness JTB but NO!If this was virtually the same team from last year I would stick with a safe 17ppg. But seeing as Joe Johnson and Marvin Williams are no longer here things will be different.Josh smith(along with AL) HAVE to step up not only as a leader but as a prime offensive weapon. Plus it's a CONTRACT YEAR! I'll be surprise if he average just 18 unless he giving us 6 assists. since we will play uptempo I'll go 21ppg for the 2012-2013 season.
