  1. Sixers basically collapses in the paint and dared our players to take jumpshots (that's why we took 20 threes in the first quarter). Usually, this wouldn't be a great sttrategy against us considering we are a top shooting team, but shots were not falling today so we struggled on offense.
  2. Good stuff, love cheering against these New York teams. Looking at their roster and how bad Deron and Brook Lopez have looked so far this year, I think Boston and Orlando have a shot at finishing with better records.
  3. Seeing Brooklyn look absolutely putrid the last couple of weeks and seeing our Hawks look like a top seed, couldn't help but wonder what the status with the draft pick swap is. I seem to recall that just like last year we have the right to swap this season also. Am I wrong? If not, is there some sort of protection on the Brooklyn pick? I'm sure several of you could enlighten me. Adding a top pick and keeping Millsap would make for a wonderful offseason next year.
  4. The way Jeff came out in the third quarter against the heat, after Schröder dominated the end of the first half, was a thing of beauty. Both Bosh and Wade brought their A game tonight but neither of them was as impactful as Jeff. You can see that the competition from Schröder is clearly driving Teague and only making him better. The 1-2 punch we are developing with these two is something I've never seen before in this league and I'm loving it.
  5. No wonder Indiana fell apart after trading for this guy. What a complete LOSER.
  6. Don't forget this is the first game of a back to back. Bud plays the hot hands (Korver, who has sat during his fair share of fourth quarters lately) and Dennis, and Jeff keeps fresh for the next game. We are a complete team, and if the guy next to you is doing a better job than you, then you sit on the bench and cheer. This is a winning mind-set in my opinion.
  7. It's like we are an actual NBA team this year lol.
  8. He needs to play with this type of effort and focus for a whole year. It's always the same on these boards with Teague the last few season, he goes on a tear for a few weeks and everyone is riding his jock and then he goes on slumps that have lasted upwards towards a month and the board is ready to start a 19 year old out of Germany for him. If he can put together a complete season then there will be no argument that he is a top PG in this league, and perhaps even one of the top players period.
  9. Korver is playing some flat out great defense this year too.
  10. If you are a fan of this team you gotta love what Shcroder is bringing this year. If he keeps up this level of play he will be one of the more valuable sixth men this season. If you compare that to what he was a little less than a year ago, you've got to be impressed with what the coaching staff has done in terms of developing him.

Good points here.... Hopefully you're right about tomorrow; would love to spank Leflop lol
  12. Bosh ain't exactly a spring chicken himself.
  13. I really like the direction this team is going the last few seasons. Getting rid of "me" first high usage players who are quickly looking past their prime and going with under-appreciated team oriented hustle players that love to share the ball. Top it off with the acquisition of one of the best young coaches in the NBA and we are looking better than a lot of teams in either conference IMO.

A great game until the very end when they relaxed on defense and offense. Not critical since the lead was so big, but if we had played with the intensity we had at the beginning of the fourth through to the end we would have won by 20 + easy. Love the defense this team has played when the game has been on the line in the fourth quarter this season. Gonna be a fun game tomorrow.
  15. 1-A, 1-B... Personally with the game on the line I'd be much more afraid of Wade than Bosh.
  16. True. Though I honestly will be shocked if he keeps his current production going for the rest of the season. The reasonable thing to expect is his production will level out to what it has been the last couple of years.
  17. With Wade officially out for tonight's game I think this game becomes very big. Can't let our division rival get a win against us AT home without their best player in the lineup. Here's to the Hawks taking advantage and coming out with some intense energy tonight.
  18. I would absolutely go if I was in Atlanta. A nice test for us early in the season. Personally I think Miami has been playing above their heads in the early going. No way Bosh has his best season at 30; he will fall off, and so will the Heat.
  19. One thing I like about the team this year is that in the fourth quarter and crunch time it seems like every one of our players (except Pero of course) has a ton of confidence in taking big shots. Teague, Carrol, Horford, Korver, Mike Scott, Schröder, have all taken big time shots down the stretch without an ounce of hesitation. We may have been up and down so far this season, but our effort and confidence has been very sharp. Great sign.
  20. It's a long season and Payne has had injuries. Let's hold our horses an give Bud the benefit of the doubt on how he handles Payne. Some Schröder supporters were criticizing the role he played last season and now a year later he seems to have developed brilliantly from where he was in 2013.
  21. We have no idea how good Dennis will become. It makes no sense to trade him at this moment in time when his value has no where to go but upwards.
  22. SMDH at this thread. Same posters that will throw Schröder under the bus in a couple of weeks when he starts playing like a 21 year old again. Thank goodness our front office isn't dumb enough to trade a PG on the cusp of stardom and hand the reigns over to a player who less then 12 months ago was not even playing at an NBA caliber level.
  23. Amazing what a great overall player he has become the last few years. There aren't many SFs in the NBA I would take over him.
  24. Even during several of those four games Schröder has had some plays that are not exactly NBA caliber. At 21 he will still likely have massive ups and downs this year so ppl expecting him to overtake Teague anytime soon would do well to temper those expectations, cause it ain't gonna happen. Personally I'm just glad that he has shown considerable progress from last year.
