I will give you $500 to stop posting on here. I have been on this forum from 2007 and I literally have never read a single positive post from you. I wish I could find a way to block all of your posts but I am unaware if it is built into the system. Not only do you have a miserable attitude about the Hawks, but your posts are baseless and really a waste of time. I know I will get into trouble for this but it needs to be said. The constant negativity on here needs to stop. Not just Hotlanta,but the others as well. I get that we are a "terrible franchise" and that "DF sucks bad dude" and that we cannot bring in a top free agent. Maybe some of you should follow "successful" organizations. I'm sure your lives would be much more fulfilled. I swear some of you take this way too seriously. You could be married to Jennifer Aniston,have millions, and be in full health but find something to complain about (and it would probably be the Atlanta Hawks).

Who said ANYTHING about it being okay to be a one and done every year? We aren't a punch line though. I hate Hawks fans who have "battered wife syndrome" and claim to be realists. I have never once said that this is a championship franchise. It simply isn't. We are trying to get there, and I will support the team, coaches, and the front office while we work to get there. Rome wasn't built in a day.

I would say that if you think this franchise is a punchline, then please go follow another team. "If" we make it far in the playoffs one year, it will make it that much sweeter. That is what is called being a fan.

I was shocked when JJ was moved for scrap pieces, but really in the end we have had more cap flexibility and are able to strike each year moving forward at top free agents. In all honesty, if we are ever going to land a top star, it is going to take literally every single relationship in Atlanta to work. Whom does Arthur Blake know? Can we get the Mayor to call someone? Any rappers or actors that live here who can reach out to big time players? There has to be something out of the ordinary done here to get these players' attention. We are gaining national attention again (folks calling us Spurs of the East) and we made some noise in the playoffs. The Hawks' front office has to get super creative when trying to attract free agents.. I mean, very creative. Think outside the box. I'm hoping Steve Koonin can bring some creativity to the table here. OK, that's all for now-- go Hawks.

I will add that I truly believe the locker room is cohesive, and they are playing together. That comes from leadership from the top, and it trickles down. The players did see success (almost knocking off the #1 seed) and if you add some more pieces, with the way the Eastern Conference is, I can see this team making the ECFinals. The key is staying healthy and playing together as a team. You can tell the entire team plays for each other and they really want to win together. No Josh Smith's (as much as I like him) on this team anymore or Joe Johnson's.

Thanks--- I moved here from Charlotte. I never got to be a Cats/Hornets fan just because I am a Hawks fan no matter what. It was nice to go to games in Charlotte and wear my Hawks jersey. Glad to see a lot of the same names on here. Hopefully we can all get together for a 'Squawk night at Philips. In other news--- What Milsap-type free agency pickup do you think we land? Guys, I cannot say enough how excited I am to be back in Atlanta. I am seriously looking into getting season tickets again (I will wait until after the free agency period) but I wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone on the 'Squawk and to remind everyone to enjoy the ride. It is awesome to see how much the 'Squawk has grown over the past 4-5 years! I have recently just been lurking, but I want to start contributing a lot more. It is a good time to be a Hawk fan-- things will be exciting this summer, and we have a great team to cheer on and an OUTSTANDING coaching staff. I'm off my high-horse now. Let's go Hawks!

Great read... I think Ferry gets it done, but with one of the mid-tier type guys.. Just don't see a big name free agent coming here (I still don't get why people don't want to play here). I will support whomever we decide to bring in. The team is on the uptick and I'm excited!

Antić did fairly well in the playoffs defensively... was a liability on offense.
