  1. Definately Brewer an James Johnson are the best options out there to improve the SF position, Lee and Mayo for SG.
  2. I had some hopes to see Machado or Alex Young or someone who could play SF there to see if we can have some luck, nothing at all...On the ohter hand I like to see there Derrick Character an Brian Butch, let's see what can do Jenkins and Scott
  3. I agree, we should focus on signing a reliable wing player as we have a big bigh hole there after JJ and Marvin departure.I also agree that the best options are Mayo and Lee, whoever wants to sign by 5 M$, let's sign him, we cannot miss that as we are one of the few teams that can offer a starting spot.I think Mayo could become the better player, however Lee is also a good SG, more size and better defender than Mayo although less ability to create.

    It's time

I would trade Smoove for Nene and a 1st rd pick to the Wizards, makes perfect sense for both teams, Atlanta gets the so much needed Center allowing Horford to play PF and Washington gets their needed PF that would make with Okafor a perfect frontcourtWashington John Wall/ Beal/Ariza/Smith/Okafor, really nice teamAtlanta Teague/Jenkins?/FA/Horford/Nene, better frontcourt than Horford and Smith with the same need to fill the gaps at the wing.
  5. True he did not start at Memphis but the truth is that Memphis did have too much scorers (Gay, Randolph, Conley) and needed a defensive specialist as Tony Allen to compliment Conley and Gay, that does not mean he will not start on other NBA team He is not so undersized, is a good scorer, much better than anything we have, could be signed cheap and provide a good ratio quality/cost, I think will be a good compliment to Teague and anyway could play a similar role as Jamal Crawford, we don't have any wing player that could play more than 10-15 min on any NBA team right now
  6. He is a SG, not a PG, a starting caliber SG, Jenkins, Morrow and Stevenson are not, Besides Morrow, Stevenson and Harris are FA next year, they should not be on our long term plans, but Mayo could definately be a player we can use many years here, he is an underrated offensive player.
  7. He is not demanding a lot of interest so we could sign him cheap, probably 5-6M$ a year not affecting financial flexibility for next year, he is certainly underrated, we could offer him a starting job that Pacers for example would not offer, fills a need as we don't have a starting SG, could replace JJ scoring, could become a good compliment to Teague or Harris and will be a good piece to attract a good FA next year.Next year you could offer a young core of Teague, Mayo, Jenkins, Horford + 2 first round picks, at a cost of only 20M$, that means you have around 40M$ to sign any FA.
  8. We are definately worse and we will be out of the playoffs for sure.Devin Harris was crap last year and is always injured, we don't have an NBA starting SG and SF, Morrow and Jenkins are bench players at best, Smith and Horford play the same position and we don't have a legit center.Basically we have 2 PGs and 2 PFs as our best players and some bench players that would not play more than 15-20 mpg on halft the league as Zaza, Morrow and Jenkins. The rest Petro, Farmar, Stevenson, Jordan Williams would not make any roster on the league.I cannot understand how some of you think we will go to the playoffs next year.

    IS LD next?

Well, the coach will sign for next year when we will suck and our history signing big FA is the worst on the whole NBA... I cannot see why all this optimism. I have to agree on something Horford and Teague are a good young duo but not enough to attract big names

    IS LD next?

Why don't we ask the right thing? Which coach would want to come here with the team as it is? With the current roster Hawks are one of the worst 8 teams, no playoffs next year
  11. I forgot completely about William Buford. I think between Alex Young and William Buford we could have a wing player, and a good one, whoever does better on SL could get an roster spot.Machado should get an opportunity at PG and Kevin Jones, Drew Gordon, Henry Sims or JaMychal Green could have a chance at bigs.
  12. On draftexpress analysis Mike Scott is the most efficient forward ahead of Perry Jones, Moe Harkless, Royce White, Terrence Jones...http://www.draftexpress.com/article/By-the-Numbers-The-2012-Forward-Crop-3991/I´m not saying he is going to be special, but can score with good percentages and can rebound, plus is a solid defender, I think we got good value on 2nd round.
  13. For his first season 12,3 ppg, 2,5rpg, 4,7 apg, 1,7spg and 2TO shoting 0,46% is not bad for a PG in ATL.He also plays good defense and of course has to learn the position and pass better, but there have been some games where he has delivered 8-9 asists, I think his stats are a little down due to some games where the PG duties were on JJ and Hinrich and he did not record a single assisst. I think we should stick with him and let develop. On the FA options I could only take a chance on Dragic and Mo Williams but be careful trying to extrapolate the stats of one player on his contract year. Williams is a the end of his career and Dragic has not made anything till now. Teague's best years are to come.
  14. He has been released, he has great upside and will provide depth at SF, I think he would be a great addition fo the playoffs and an upside player for the future. I would also like to sign Turiaf.
  15. I post on the trade ideas forum but I think that Hinrich/Zaza for Kaman would be a great addition for this team, Zaza is not more than a backup center and we could sign someone like Gadzuric to fill that hole. Kaman is a starting center, someone that can rebound, score on the post and block shots, something we need and don't have.

    Earl Barron

Another option would be Dan Gadzuric, either of these players would be of great help for Hawks now.
  17. gurpilo

    Earl Barron

After we lose Al for the season is clear we need to sign another big, how would you feel about adding Earl Barron, when given the minutes he has produced good numbers on points and rebounds, he would offer something similar as Zaza.
  18. I said earlier on the season but I think Indiana is really better than us, for me you are veryyyy optimistic. A fair comparison would be: 1. Jeff Teague<Daren Collison - Darren Collison is the better player for now, he has 2 seasons of experience and is a better passer and floor general, he really manages the offense, Teague is learning the position. The day JT can average 13 ppg, 5 apg, 1 spg shooting 45% on a whole season we talk again. 2. Joe Johnson=Granger - And Joe is going down 3. Marvin<Paul George - George is an up and coming player, with great deffensive abilities and developing his offensive game. 4. Josh Smith>David West - However the difference is not great 5. Al Horford<Roy Hibbert - Hibbert is the better CENTER although Horford could be the better player, but about been a Center and defending the paint Hibbert is the better player. About the bench Indiana is better and deeper
  19. I think we can do better than Willie Green, either on defense and offense

    Vintage T-Mac

He did very well with Pistons last year in production and games played, I think he can do the same here if given the minutes. Has been an awesome signing, I said it the first day we signed him... Not so sure about Green and Radma, I think we still have too many guards and need a low post scorer or a backup center, what about Gadzuric?
  21. I have not seen any site that states we have to take Turkoglu's contract or that was considered on the offer. J Rich's contract is even worst and Turk is performing very well for them, fairly better than J Rich. Having JJ on the roster for me makes more sense to give one of their SG rather than their Point Forward and they want to win now. It has more sense to have a starting lineup of Nelson JJ Turkoglu Anderson Horford. Although I would like to switch Horford for Smith, anyway I doubt they do it and if we include Horford better if they include a good SG, including Turkoglu is a deal killer for me, Horford is just too much.
  22. A team with Teague, Redick, Marvin and Horford could achieve the playoffs in 2 years, is not the same situation as Cleveland, that is a good young core.... but again I would not trade JJ and Smith for him if he do not resign with Atlanta.
  23. Of course I don't think anyone would trade JJ and Smith for Howard if he do not resign long term with Atlanta, as happened with Carmelo Anthony.
  24. First of all JJ and whoever they choose between Smith and Horford for Dwight straight do not work, Orlando should include another player to match salaries. If JJ goes to Orlando one of J Richardson and JJ Reddick should go. For me either Smith and JJ for Dwight and Redick or Smith, JJ and Hinrich for Dwight, Richardson and Duhon would be good. My preferences for the first one. Teague/Hinrich Redick/Green Marvin/TMac Horford/RadMan Dwight/Zaza/Collins For me this is an upgrade over what we have, Redick is a good shooter, Hinrich should have to backup SG and PG positions and Marvin should have to step up as he is doing on the wing to provide scoring BUT you have the best frontcourt on the NBA with Horford and Howars, both have at least 4-5 more years at full strength and we still mantain enough outside shooting and remember that SG and SF are the easiest positions to fill on the NBA. For me it's a no-brainer for Atlanta but I don't think Dwight would like to come here.
