  1. Good addition but for vet min, Ivan Johnson provides similar impact If we are not able to sign Big FA, Jack, Iguodala, Rush and Pekovic could be good fits.
  2. Bullock would be a great pick, I hope we can get him at 2nd round, one player I'm beginning to like a lot is Muscala, big guy with great offrensive skills, rebounds really well and has acceptable defense, could be a great bakcup Center.
  3. I prefer to sign Dalembert as a mentor for the hopefully young center we will draft, I like Zaza but he is not the rim protector we need.
  4. Exactly, we have just 4 players under contract, I don't know why we should not try to fill our roster when this draft allows you to do so. Ryan Kelly, Todorovic, Rice, Adonis Thomas, Kadji others I forgot to mention for 2nd round
  5. I don' think we have a shot to trade for the first 8 picks, after that there is not so much difference in talent, and even the 8 first picks are not so great, this is a weak draft. We should go for BPA at 17 and 18 and I think we could select a decent wing and center, KCP, Goodwin, Adams or Dieng are realistic targets, we could even draft a good PG in Schröder, the good thing is that on 2nd round there is some talent available, althought weak this draft is in some manner deep, Bullock, Livio Jean, Karasev, DeShaun Thomas, Hardaway Jr, Kabongo, Canaan, Roberson, Jaiteh... we should try to find a SF there or BPA again
  6. I forgot about L. Williams and Zaza that could be considered NBA worthy players, but been honest, Williams is a 6'1" SG, a liability on defense, and Zaza is a Center without good defense and post moves and athleticism, probably 2 players the Bulls would never sign.
  7. The difference is the organization, look how they are constructed Rose/Hinrich/Robinson/Teague Hamilton/Bellinelli/Cook Deng/Butler Boozer/Gibson Noah/Mohammed All are NBA worthy players, well, you can remove Teague and Cook, althought Cook I think could have a chance here, but you have NBA players at all positions. Hawks only have Teague, Harris, Korver, Smith, Horford, Johnson, that is 2 PG, on wing that cannot defend and 3 PF.... the team is not built as a balanced team, the Bulls are a balanced team. Look at the draft, they have drafted, they nearly didn't fail in any of them. 2012 Round 1 Pick 29 Marquis Teague Kentucky 2011 Round 1 Pick 28 Norris Cole Cleveland State Round 1 Pick 30 Jimmy Butler Marquette Round 2 Pick 13 Malcolm Lee UCLA 2010 Round 1 Pick 17 Kevin Seraphin France (Cholet Basket) (foreign) 2009 Round 1 Pick 16 James Johnson Wake Forest Round 1 Pick 26 Taj Gibson USC 2008 Round 1 Pick 1 Derrick Rose Memphis Round 2 Pick 9 Sonny Weems Arkansas 2007 Round 1 Pick 9 Joakim Noah Florida Round 2 Pick 19 Aaron Gray Pittsburgh Round 2 Pick 21 JamesOn Curry Oklahoma State They have been able to draft solid contributors like Butler, Gibson and I believe Teague will be one of them, an all-star center at pick 9 and a top 5 player. They have even a very good player waiting to come, Mirotic. Butler is an absolute steal at 30 and Gibson is another one althought his contract is not that good now. They selected Deng after we took Childress, that's the difference between both teams. They are able to sign proven players and always build a balance team offensively and defensively, that's the difference: the organization.
  8. There is no way we can get Oladipo and Burke on this draft, this is simply a plan that cannot happen
  9. I agree, I think he has Tony Parker's potential, he is quick, has a good shot, good passer, decent defender, I'm beginning to like him every day a little bit more, I think there is some chance he could end being a star in the league and one of the three best players of this draft class, the problem is that we are really bad developing PGs and would be a great pick if we would be tanking but I'm not sure we are there yet and probably Teague will be back and play 35 mpg, for that reason I still think we should take KCP but I thought I would have taken Goodwin ahead of him and now I don't have it so clear. I was pleased also that Rotoword thinks as me about Hawks draft picks, surprised that Franklin is projected to go on the lottery. 17. Atlanta – Steven Adams C Pittsburgh The Hawks have needed a solid big man, well, pretty much forever. They also need a shooting guard, but finding a true center should be the top priority. Adams is going to be a bit of a project, but he’s 7’0” tall, athletic for his size and should thrive at running the floor. He’ll need to work hard to develop an inside game worthy of the NBA, but has enough upside that someone will grab him in the first round. 18. Atlanta (via Houston) – Kentavious Caldwell-Pope SG Georgia The Hawks clearly have a need at shooting guard, as Lou Williams still came off the bench even when he was healthy. Caldwell-Pope, the SEC player of the year, averaged 18.5 points and should be a very good 3-point shooter in the NBA. And I’m guessing that unlike Dwight Howard, he wouldn’t mind playing in Atlanta after starring at UGA. He’s also a solid defensive player, and really looks like a perfect fit for the Hawks. http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nba/43187/34/nba-mock-draft-version-2?pg=2
  10. I doubt Zeller falls to us, this is really a weak draft, even if he falls he is probably not the paint presence we need, he reminds me Pau Gasol on the offensive side with a lower wingspan that has helped Gasol to cover his phisical limitations. This is a quote from Draftexpress His short wingspan, underdeveloped frame and average toughness could make it difficult for him to be a major factor on the glass or as a weakside presence, as he struggles to stop more physical opponents from posting him up inside, and was not a prolific rebounder or shot-blocker at the college level. From DraftExpress.com http://www.draftexpress.com#ixzz2S4TwcUdd http://www.draftexpress.com I still think Adams would be a better fit Defensively, Adams looked a bit better, blocking an impressive three shots to go along with two steals, showing a similarly good motor on this end of the floor and also displaying an impressive sense of timing on his shot blocks. He did a great job using his full extension and mobility to block shots, doing a very good job in that regard. 11. The problem with Adekotunbo is that he has played against really poor competition so is really difficult to project what kind of projection we can expect from him, I consider Goodwin and Caldwell Pope picks with greater upside although they are SG and we need a SF badly but we should draft the BPA. Currently DraftExpress ha us taking Goodwin, Adams, DeShaun Thomas and Hardaway Jr which would be a dream draft, I know we should not draft two SGs but Hardaway Jr would be a no brainer on the 2nd round, you cannot pass on that talent.
  12. McDermott also returning, a lot of players who were thought to declare returning like Caulley Stein, McGary, Robinson, Smart, McDoo, Poythress, Russ Smith, Gary Harris, Kyle Anderson, McDermott.... chances we get a starter at first round pick and a role player on the 2nd round are gettin slimmer. On first round picks I think we should choose between Caldwell Pope, Goodwin, Adekotunbo or even Karasev, in that order, with the other, Adams, Dieng or Whithey also in that order. On the 2nd round I would like to get a backup PG Kabongo, Wolters, Canaan and Silva would be the players I would consider also ordered, with the other one I would choose a player to be developed overseas like Jaiteh, Livio Jean Charles, Karasev or Todorovic unless someone like Hardaway Jr, DeShaun Thomas or Reggie Bullock are available.
  13. I like Schröder also, he seems like a true first rounder. My list would be Goodwin, Caldwell Pope, Franklin, Adekotunbo and Schröder for one of the first picks and Adams, Whithey and Dieng for the other. Karasev seems to be more of a 2nd rounder due to his limitations of athleticism and defense. We need a wing and a big but Schröder seems like a great bet for good value at a first round pick.
  14. This was a really bad one, just Teague, Horford and Ivan came to play, the rest were just awful!!! We got outrebonded and did not have an answer for George and Hibbert, we need to completely change our wing rotation, everyone need to be out except Jenkins and perhaps Korver, we need a starting SG and SF and we need someone at C, we need a defensive center. Can anyone explain me why Horford just played 28 min?
  15. Ivan Johnson is really a good backup PF, he is playing better than Smith
  16. We just have no answer for George and Hibbert, a defensive wing and a true defensive center are our bigger needs, that's why I want us to sign Brewer or Wright and Dalembert
  17. I guess you forgot about Derrick Rose and Stephen Curry...
  18. Quite close. Definately worst than Chris Paul, Westbrook, D. Williams, R. Rondo, S. Curry, T. Parker, K Irving, and John Wall. Then he could be on a group with Ty Lawson, J. Holiday, Rubio, Lillard, Dragic and Conley. Better than Jennings, Vasquez, Nelson, K. Walker, Nelson, Hill, Lowry, Lin...
  19. I would not go for either route, signing non star full package of FA to use all the cap space like Evans/Hickson/Jefferson would not give you a title or allow you to contend, trading for expirings neither, next year you will have just cap space. We have a good young core on Teague and Horford, valuable young pieces (Jenkins and Scott) that could grow on legit contributors and a good sixth man (L. Williams) so I would try to sign cheap FAs that fit well with our core and can provide a winning environment to the team like this year so that a big star FA signing would make us legit contenders. Players that would fit perfectly here, providing what we lack and could be signed for 3-5 M$ would be: Corey Brewer (27) - Good wing defender with great size, exactly what we need, can play SG and SF, can score and shoot the 3, on his prime. 4 years, 13M$ Another option would be Dorrell Wright (27) Samuel Dalembert (31) - A defensive 7 footer, has produced when given the minutes, also in this season, a presence on the paint, can REBOUND and BLOCK shots, I think he still has 2-3 years left, would allow Al to play PF position. 2 years 7M$ Wing player - Kyle Korver (32) We need to sign another wing and I would like to resign this guy but at the right price, one of the best 3 pt shooter on the league, he fits perfectly our team as has been demonstrated. 3 years 12 M$. Other options with more upside but demaning more money would be Evans and Mayo. You will have a core of: Teague/Williams xxx/Jenkins/Korver Brewer/Korver Horford/Scott Dalembert 8 players and a salary of 35-40 M$. We still have 2 first round picks and 2 2nd round picks. We will need to add a wing player and a center, (Goodwin, Franklin, Caldwell Pope, Adekotunbo, Karasev, Adams, Dieng, Whithey, Gobert...) my preferences would be Caldwell Pope and Adams. 2nd rounders on a backup PG and another big, Canaan and Muscala for example And then I would try to go after a big name like Howard and contend for the title but if you cannot you still have a robust teamthat probably would take the team once again to the playoffs, no real weakness here and a player away of been a contender. You can even sign Evans to 6-8M$ instead of Korver but Hickson will cost us around 8M$ and there is a reason Portland do not want him there, they want a true Center, Jefferson... I`m not sure he fits so well with Al. Teague/L. Williams/ Canaan Evans/Jenkins/ Brewer/Evans/Adekotunbo or Karasev Horford/Scott/Muscala Howard/Dalembert/Adams This would be a more appealing team for Howard than Lakers I think
  20. Robinson and McGary also returning, options at getting something valuable are getting slimmer.
  21. Forgot also about Ryan Kelly, Reggie Bullock, Peyton Silva, Russ Smith, BJ Young, Carmichael, Howell, Rodney Williams, Andre Robertson, Toney Snell, Seth Curry all could become role players.
  22. I don't remember neither but there is still some talent where we pick at the 2nd Canaan, Muscala, Kadji, Solomon Hill, Brandon Paul, Deshaun Thomas, Snaer, Adonis Thomas, Nash, Carrick Felix, some mocks have even Hardaway, Jaiteh... it's not that you loose completely the options to draft a good player, this draft is strangely deep.
  23. I think we can find McDermott on the early 2nd round, that's why I would try to trade our 2 2nds for an early 2nd and draft McDermott, Karasev, Saric, Austin, Franklin, Goodwin, Crabbe, Kabongo or even Tim Hardaway, there is going to be decent talent on the early 2nd round
  24. Glen Robinson, Caldwell Pope, McGary, Adams, Dieng, Goodwin, Adekotunbo, Franklin, we should pick two of this list.
  25. Marcus Smart is not declaring and James McDoo neither, the options are getting slimmer for us to draft at 18th pick
