  1. I like him but I would prefer to take the high risk/high reward approach on a big, Steven Adams or Gobert and in that order. With the other pick I would take a safer pick on the wing like Robinson, KCP or even Goodwin, our two best players are a PG and a big assuming Smith leaves, we need to improve our wings.
  2. I think he could be a decent backup PG, anyway I wouldn't offer more than the minimum and would not be mad at all if finally do not sign with us.
  3. That's true but is also true that sometimes some players begin to climb on the list due to some measurements and private workouts and we forget about the numbers, sensations when they play and that this is about playing basketball, i.e. Thabeet. I don't think I will change my opinion from now to draft day and still think Adams would be the best prospect for us in terms of upside, fit, and impact on our time between him, Whithey, Dieng or McGary.
  4. I was thinking more on the Ratliff we saw at Atlanta, not the Ratliff on his prime to be honest, a Center with lack of size, a decent defensive big but limited offensively, that is what I remembered from him and the way I see Dieng, then checked the stats and saw he was averaging 9ppg, 7 rpg, 3 bpg (WOW), on 30mpg I wouldn't expect that 3bpg but the rest of the stats seems about right with the same time. Dalembert is 6'11" and I see him like a really imposing presence on the paint, I doubt Dieng really achieves that impact. When given 30mpg he has averaged 11ppg, 10rbgg, 2bpg and has really protected the rim, I wouldn't expect that kind of production and impact from Dieng. About Withey, true non of them are good comparisons I cannot find who could be, then I checked Nbadraft and they throw Travis Knight, not bad. Ollynk is soft, does not rebound or defend well, slow, I don't see him becoming a presence on the paint like Pekovic or Kaman, has less faith on him than you, that's why I through the Hawes comparison without shot blocking, not a presence on the paint, a jump shooter big but with some talent. The player I like is Adams, I think he can become a really special player, all the rest are not more than backup bigs.
  5. Whithey will be a shot blocking center on the NBA, I don't like the Asik comparison as he hopefully will block much shots and will get really less rebounds, Assik is one of the best rebounders on the league, he would perhaps be more of a Pryzbilla type of center. Dalembert would be the top ceiling for Dieng, doubt he reaches that potential and he is not that big and will not be such am imposing presence on the paint, I like a Theo Ratliff comparison for him, I think it's more fair. About Adams, I think he will be the best rebounder of the 3, probably not the best shot blocker but still a good one and probably the best offensive player of the 3. He is 3 years younger and is the only one that could become a starter on the league. I don't have a good comparison either. And about Ollynk, he is not the inside presence Kaman or Pekovic are, he probably will be more of a Spencer Hawes type of player without the shot blocking ability.
  6. Well Draftexpress have us taking Goodwin at 18 and Adams at 20, that would be an awesome draft
  7. I disagree with the statement that the good centers are at top 10 and rest are projects, Norel is the best but after him all the rest are projects and I think we could have a good one at 17. This is a very deep class on Centers, in order: Norel, Zeller, Len, Ollynk, Plumlee, Gobert, Adams, Mc Gary, Dieng, Whithey, Austin. 11 players that could go on the first round. We will have 17 and 18 th pick, I think we should use one of them on a Center and the other one on a wing player. Norel, Zeller and Len are supposed to be the best projects and will be gone for sure althought they would be great additions, Ollynk and Plumlee probably will be gone also and I hope so as I don't think they are good fits with Horford. I think we will have a shot to select one of Adams, Gobert, Dieng and Whithey, all shot blocking 7 footers. For me Adams is the player we should select, the chances he will be there are great, a very young and athletic 7 footer, good rebounder, shot blocking ability, runs the floor well, good basketball IQ, improving at a high rate and with a good feel for the game, he has averaged better stats that the others at the same age, exactly what we have lacking the last years. With the other pick I would go after Glenn Robinson, McCollum, Adekotunbo, Goodwin or Caldwell Pope, hopefully we can select a SF. On the 2nd round I would trade our 2 2nd round picks for a earlier 2nd round pick 33-38th pick, I think we could select a role player there like Allen Crabbe, Tony Mitchell, McDermott, Franklin, CJ Leslie, Nate Wolters, Adreian Payne, Isaiah Canaan, DeShaun Thomas , this is a weak draft but deep in terms of useful players, the talent after 40-43th pick falls a lot. About FAs, I would forget about dreams of Paul, Howard, Bynum, Pekovic and even Jefferson... and try to focus on more achievable options that could add a lot to the team like Dalembert, a true shot blocking 7 footer that fits very well with Horford, could be used 2-3 years while we develop our Center Project , Corey Brewer, good defensive SF that can score, on his prime, OJ Mayo or Tyreke Evans, a starting SG that can score and penetrate, of course resign Teague and Korver. Teague/L. Williams Mayo/Jenkins/Korver Brewer/Korver/G. Robinson Horford/I.Johnson/Scott Dalembert/Adams/FA
  8. After some research I would definately take Adams ahead of Dieng and Whithey althought I have to recognize I haven't seen him play, every draft site has him ahead of Dieng and Whithey. His stats seems to be better than them at the same age, he is 3 years younger, he has better combination of size and athleticism than them, has not played much basketball but seems to have high BB IQ and is improving at a higher rate, a legit 7 footer with shot blocking instincts and higher upside, a prospect that could developed into a legit starting big man given the time, excatly what we have been lacking, I'm sold with him, the upside is there higher risk but higher reward. This class is deep on Center, top tiers are Norel, Zeller, Len and Caulley-Stein, it's a shame he is nota going to declare. After them Ollynk and Plumlee are not exactly the typical centers but seems will be gone by the time we pick and I consider they are not good fits and then we have Gobert, Adams, Whithey, Dieng and Austin. Gobert seems to be miles away from filling his frame and be able to compete at NBA level, for me Adams is the best prospect and we should definately make the bet. The other pick I would spend on a wing prospect, best available, hopefully Robinson, unless MCW or Burke are available but with 2 draft picks and a really deep class at C I think we should get a good prospect at this position that we have been lacking for years.
  9. Steven Adams has also declared, I wonder if we should go after him before Dieng or Withey.
  10. Dieng had a very good match against Duke and Plumlee yesterday, I didn't have him as one of possible targets but I am beginning to like him, he is having a great tournament, I would pick Dieng or Withey with the lower of our first round picks, 2 Centers that has size and can block shots, fill a need.
  11. Stats are not comparable, Mayo did it on a playoff team while Evans has done it in one of the worst teams on the NBA, Mayo has also 3pt range, Evans hasn't and Mayo would not take the ball out of Jeff's hands, Evans needs the ball on his hands to produce and do not involve other players on the offense, Sac is known as one of the worst offense on NBA. For me the choice is clear, Mayo is the best fit for this team, he can be an off the ball scorer.
  12. Norvel Pelle is declaring, I wonder if he could be an option for us, he was supposed to be one of the best players of his class.
  13. I'm beginning to like McCollum as I think he will fall to us due to his injury, he could be a good consolation prize is Burke, MCW, Porter or Robinson are gone. He could play the same role as Devin Harris. I'm also beginning to think that Whithey could be a decent option where we pick as some players seems that are not going to declare I think the following players will be available, McCollum, Franklin, Goodwin, Caldwell Pope, Hardaway, Saric, McDoo, Whithey, Dieng, many players are not going to declare for the draft. In my mind we should come with McCollum, Whithey or the best of the SGs available, for me sbould be Goodwin although Franklin really intrigues me.
  14. Even on the Croatian league he is shooting 36,9% that is reaaaaally low for an European league, he is far from been a contributor.
  15. I've already said that, Saric could not even make a Spanish roster on a medium team and on the weak Croatian league he is averaging 7.8ppg. For reference, Terrico White is averaging 14.5 ppg. He is not the next Gallinari or at least is far from been him. You are seeing highlights from an Under 18 Tournament against some teams and we don't know if they are good or not. I would prefere any of Porter, Poythress, Robinson, Goodwin, Burke, MCW or a big man rather than Saric, he is a high risk not so clear high reward type of player.
  16. There are like 50 better senior players than him and like 120 better players on the draft, he will sure go undrafted so we can invite him to our summer league roster.
  17. And about Porter, still too early to set but I think we will be picking 16 and 18, Porter can perfectly fall there, there is decent and equal talent from 5 to 20. Robinson is more a SF than a SG, we need a SF badly from the draft because we have already a prospect at SG, SF FA class is from weak to non existent and there are good FA SG out there. I would pick anyone from Porter, Robinson or Poythress but have to admit that Goodwin and Caldwell Pope really intrigues me for different reasons.
  18. On the perimeter, McDermott is largely a catch and shoot player, rarely creating either for himself or for others off the dribble, and his ball handling and shot creating ability are clear weaknesses for a player who doesn't have the physical strength or length to play in the post at the next level. From DraftExpress.com http://www.draftexpress.com#ixzz2NXwi3XWj http://www.draftexpress.com The defensive side of the ball looks to be the primary issue with McDermott when projecting his chances at the next level. His effort level appears to be adequate, but his physical limitations are evident. He doesn't have the size or strength to deny position in the post, and he doesn't have either the length or quickness off the floor to provide much if any weak-side help. On the perimeter, which is where he is more likely to play at the next level, his lateral quickness is a huge concern. He tends to give a large amount of space on the perimeter to combat his mediocre foot speed, both when defending isolation and pick and roll sets, a problem that is sure to become more pronounced the more he is asked to defend away from the basket. From DraftExpress.com http://www.draftexpress.com#ixzz2NXxGsLEc http://www.draftexpress.com He is really playing PF and I don't think he can transition to a SF, perhaps I'm wrong but seems to me he is more like a stretch 4.
  19. Sorry but I have just seen really a couple of times him been called as a possible target and really outside of Howard he is the better defensive center out there, paired with Horford, Teague and a quality wing he could be a really productive player an be again a 10 ppg, 10 rpg, 2 bpg player.
  20. McDermott is a PF, not a SF, he is not strong to play PF and not fast to play SF. Nash could be an option but I think there are better players at the wings, Porter, Robinson, Poythress, Goodwin, Caldwell Pope... I would take anyone of them first.
  21. None of them to be considered with first round picks None of them to be considered with second round picks, I would take fist Franklyn, Snaer or Paul, but if I have to choose one it would be Green
  22. I cannot understand why noone is talking about Dalembert, he is a true 7 footer that can protect the paint and is d doing fine when given minutes at Milwaukee, he would be wonderful for us.
  23. I'll resign Teague and Korver. Draft Porter, Robinson, Goodwin or Poythress and Burke, Austin or Withey with our 2 first round picks, whoever is available, we need a wing and Burke will be a good player on the league, if he is not available go for big. Sign Mayo, C. Brewer and Dalembert, try to sign Jefferson. Teague/Williams/Burke Mayo/Jenkins Brewer/Korver/Robinson Horford/Scott/FA Jefferson/Dalembert If we land Burke, possibly trade L. Williams for Jason Thompson and prospect filler if not Teague/Williams Mayo/Jenkins Brewer/Korver/Robinson Horford/Scott/Austin Jefferson/Dalembert/Austin
  24. Rubio has been injured on the knee but that injury does not make him injury prone, he is the best passer of all the group and truly makes their mates better, a true floor general that also steals the ball at a high rate and is not so weak defender, for me is top 3 on that list. He came out of the injury slow but on February he is averaging 13 ppg, 5 rpg, 9,5 apg , 3,0 spg, 3TO amazing stats shooting 0,38%, that's true. He requires only 10 shots to score his points and gets a lot of calls, since All-Star is averaging 5 spg... Jennings requires 17 shots to score 17 points, averages 6,5 apg, 3TO and shots also 0,38% in February, really I cannot understand how anyone can rank him ahead of Rubio.... About Lawson and Holiday, Lawson is quick and scores at a high rate but is really small and a weak defender, Holiday scores at the same rate, pass better, rebounds better, defends better, has great size of a PG, is much younger... he is an all-star for something, although he is TO prone. For me but it's just my opinion no way Lawson is ahead of Holiday and Rubio should be ahead also although that could be more debatable. But Jennings ahead of Lawson, Teague or Rubio, Come on, he is a chucker, but let's see who gives him a good contract out there!!!!
  25. Holiday and Rubio are ahead of Lawson and between the 2 I have doubts who is ahead, I will give it to Holiday for the moment. Teague is ahead of Jennings and you forgot Flynn that was taken 6th 1. Stephen Curry draft position 73. Jrue Holiday draft position 174. Ricky Rubio draft position 5 2. Ty Lawson draft position 18 6. Jeff Teague draft position 195. Brandon Jennings draft position 107. Darron Collison draft position 218. Eric Maynor draft position 209. Tony Douglas draft position 29 10. A J Price draft position 52 10. Johny Flynn draft position 6
