  1. Thinking about the preseason I think Drew could start a big lineup on some games depending on matchups.I think that Drew could startTeagueHarrisSmithTolliverHorfordAnd everyday I'm liking more that lineup, we would have less size problems, increase our rebounding, better defensive team, Tolliver is a 4 that plays more on the perimeter, Smith would be a 3 that coul play more inside, I think a starting unit really balanced. I really like it more than the alternativeTeagueHarrisKorver or StevensonSmithHorford.Tolliver is a better player than Stevenson and even Korver, a guy that could play on any NBA team, Korver and Stevenson just aren't.
  2. No, I don't but we will anyway if Stevenson, Morrow, Petro and Korver are playing, there is a reason these guys could not even play on one of the worst team on the NBA last year, Nets. If we are going to be the Bobcats I rather play the young guys. I really think Jenkins can become a new Klay Thompson. It's the same thing as 2 years ago when some of us wanted Teague to play and some other wanted him to not leave the bench, look at the player Teague is now, just when he was given the opportunity he begin playing well. I wonder what kind of player would Teague be if he would not have lost 2 seasons looking Mike Bibby play, where did we go with Mike Bibby? Same applies for Jordan Crawford, Jamal left and Jordan Crawford could have filled the gap. For me Jenkins is better than Crawford or at least more efficient. Agree, the only SF that could start. There is a reason this guy was playing on Nets ahead of Morrow and Stevenson.
  3. I would only give significant minutes to Jenkins and Teague. Jenkins is more special than Korver and Morrow, much younger, better ball handling, shots with higher percentage, and I strongly disagree that he do not have defense or cannot create his own shot, I think he is better at that than both Korver and Morrow although I agree he lacks size but is a good prospect at SG on a strong draft class, I would definately give him minutes to develop.About the other young guys I am not saying to give them significant minutes and I don't have any hopes for them to become superstars but I would rather play Hassan Whiteside, Damion James or Mike Scott 12 mpg than Johan Petro or DeShawn Stevenson as they are not going to give us any wins or quality minutes, I would even play Mike Scott ahead of Ivan Johnson due to skills and potential although this is tough as Ivan provides energy and toughness for the team.
  4. I hope that we have really something going on because I just don't understand to hold on to veteran players playing for a contract and not developing young players to build something for next year.Anyone thinking we have a shot to winning this year is fool, so explain me the difference, we did not wanted to keep the team to reach the playoffs everyyear and go out on 2nd round but we prefer to give the minutes to some veterans that would not make us better on the future to achieve the playoffs and go out on the first round, I just don't get it.I would give 25-30 min to Jenkins, he is a really a special shooter and try to develop Teague, Scott, D. James and a young big like Whiteside, Alabi or Orton, that's the way try to build something. I would say that every team on the league has a young big to develop except us.
  5. No they aren't, Damion James can defend the wing and Scott and Tolliver can't. Basically we have 4 PF, Smith, Tolliver, Scott and Ivan, 3 C, Horford, Zaza and Petro and 2 SF Korver and Stevenson that lack size, rebounding, athleticism.... I hope some moves are coming.
  6. Sorry but Tolliver, Scott and Ivan are PF and James is a SF. Stevenson should not even be in the league.
  7. Cannot understand why we cut Damion James, the only true SF we had, I woud prefer to start him rather than Korver or Stevenson, we go nowhere with these guys, it's time for us to develop a young player, all these guys should be gone next year
  8. I know it's not going to happen but Petro has shown nothing this preseason and there are some young centers out there that could fill the same role and with more upside than Petro as Hassan Whiteside, Daniel Orton or Solomon Alabi.Petro is not going to provide anything, one of this guys could develop on a real backup center on the NBA and would provide the same things as Petro, size, rebounds, blocks, it's time to bet on a young center and try to develop him. I would go with Whiteside or Alabi. It's the same as with Damion James, I don't understand how we cut him and Stevenson is still on the roster.
  9. Couldn't see it but I like what I see from Mike Scott, Damion James and Tolliver, I think all of them are keepers and could provide decent minutes on the rotation. I wonder if Scott could play SF.
  10. Starters under contract next year Teague and Horford.Bench under contract for next year: Lou Williams, John Jenkins, Mike Scott.Players I would keeep for next year Damion James, Anthony Tolliver. We need to fill Starting SG, starting SF and Starting and Backup C.My favourite for Starting SG: James Harden and then Tyreke Evans, no shot at Muhammad really...My favourite for Starting SF: Dorrell Wright?? Probably find one on draft or get one via tradeMy favourite for Starting C: In reality I don't think we have a shot at Howard, so I would focus on Jefferson or Bynum, for the backup I would go through draft and/or Samuel DalembertTeague/WilliamsHarden/JenkinsAdonis Thomas/Damion JamesHorford/Tolliver/ScottJefferson/Dalembert/A. D James

He qualifies as a good backup SF, still young and developing, has size, plays defense, rebound well, get some steals, his offense is still work in progress, someone to keep around for next season to provide depth once we find our starting SF as next year, Devin Harris, Morrow, Stevenson, Korver, Petro's deals expire, we need to find a starting SG and SF.
  12. I cannot even understand why John Jenkins, Mike Scott and Keith Benson have not played any minute and James Anderson, DeShawn Stevenson, Damion James, Petro and Morrow have played so many minutes. We are probably the only team that have not played their rookies, even Boston is playing good minutes for Sullinger, Melo and even Kris Joseph, this things say a lot of a franchise, we are probably the worst team developing young talent. what the *bleep*!!! John Jenkins should play significant minutes at SG and is definately a better prospect for the future than Stevenson, Morrow, Anderson... play him now!!!!5 f***ing shots for Jeff Teague? Nearly any player has shot more than Jeff, even Petro. The positive thing, seems that Damion James has done a good job, could be a good SF backup, provides what we lack, size and defense at the wing.

    Top 10 NBA Centers

I agree, I would take anyone of that list before Al at C, although I would have my doubts with Lopez
  14. His best season he averaged 12.3 ppg, 7 rpg, 2 apg, 0,8 bpg, 0,7 spg shooting 0,43% on 44 games with Golden State, not bad numbers. On Minnesotta he was behind Kevin Love, Derrick Williams, Pekovic and Milicic on minutes, competing with Anthony Randolph, even with that he managed to play 17 mpg.I guess on Atlanta he finds more minutes as only Smith, Ivan Johnson, Horford and Pachulia can compete on quality, rest of the bench is weak and Smith is going to play SF. He provides adequate defense, can play both PF and C and can shootOverall I think is a good signing, he is still 27 year old and someone to keep for the future to provide depth, however I guess this is a sign we don't have much faith on Mike Scott.
  15. Honestly I don't think there are much better prospects than Paul George, can play SG and SF, has size, athletic, great defender, good shooter, has 3 pt range and I think on the future would be able to put 16-18 ppg, 7rpg, 3apg, 2spg, 1 bpg shooting .45% only 22 years old, nice player to fit with Horford and Teague, much better fit than Josh Smith.
  16. Personally I would make the move for Paul George and a 1st on a heartbeat , Jeff Teague, Jenkins, George, Horford and 3 1st round picks sounds pretty good.
  17. The best thing about Rubio is that he probably is the most clever player I've seen play, he reads so well the game that allows him to see the passes better than anyone either on offense and deffense, that allow him to steal a lot of balls but if you attack him one on one and protects well the ball while dribbiling he will not be able to stand in front of guys like Rose, Lawson, Paul, Westbrook, Wall, Irving, Teague, Holiday...
  18. And I never said Teague was better than Rubio, I said I like Rubio more than Teague, he can organize a team. But put Rose one on one with both of them and you will see he will have better FG% against Rubio than against Teague.
  19. I've seen Rubio play more than anyone on this forum, in fact anyone on this forum have not seen 1/4 of the games I've seen from Rubio, I know him very well as I live on Spain and he has played on my team for 4 years. Rubio now is the new player on the league and everything seems to be great but in 2 years you will begin to see his limitations and he has many of them, his shooting is horrible and is his main weakness and his defense is not so good, probably I exagerated when I said is horrible it`s true. He steals a lot intercepting passes, is a good help defender and has a good wingspan for a PG but is not fast and players will begin to use that on one on one. Nearly any PG on this league is faster than Rubio, he will get dribbled a lot on the future once players realize that.
  20. I'm saying I like Rubio more than Teague, his passing is amazing although his shooting percentage and defense is horrible and will be a problem on the future, anyway he creates a lot for his teammates so a true Floor General for me. About Conley his numbers are pretty much the same than Teague's, just 1 assist more and I think he is already on his peak, Teague is a better defender, more athletic and if you compare Teague's production on his second year to Conley's production on his second year starting Teague is simply better.
  21. Definately Better than Teague:Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Russell Westbrook, Derrick Rose, Rajon Rondo, Steve Nash, Stephen Curry, John Wall, Kyle Irving, Ty Lawson, Tony Parker, Kyle Lowry.Ricky Rubio, Jrue Holiday, Mike Conley, Brandon Jennings, Jeremy Lin, Felton, Brandon Knight, Jameer Nelson and Goran Dragic can be all at the same level. From that group I like Holiday, Rubio and Lin more than Teague so for me Teague is 16th on the league, I like him more than Conley, Jennings, Felton, Knight and Nelson.
  22. Damion James was starting ahead of Stevenson at Nets, he destroyed him productionwise, I don't think there is a chance he starts at SF, he is only 6'5" he would be destroyed at SF for any SF on the league. He is just a expiring contract waiting for a trade.About Morrow I think he and Jenkins are redundant, I think Jenkins is going to get the minutes
  23. Now that Ivan has resigned, what would be our rotation?I would like to see something like thisTeague (30) Harris (18)Williams (28) Jenkins (20)Smith (25) Korver (13) D.James (10)Horford (25) Smith (10) I. Johnson (8) Scott (5)Zaza (25) Horford (10) I.Johnson (8) Petro (5)I don't see players like Stevenson or J. Williams or even Morrow or J. Anderson getting minutes I would like to develop Jenkins
  24. There is a big hole at the wings. Stevenson should be cut. Jenkins and Morrow are redundant and I think someone between J. Williams and Petro should go to make room for K. Benson. Damion James should be definately on the team, if J. Anderson makes the team Morrow should be traded and we definately lack a true starting SF as D. James and Korver are only backup unless Smith plays SF, in that case the team looks better for me. Teague/Harris L.Williams/Morrow/Jenkins/Stevenson Smith/Korver/D. James Horford/I. Johnson/Scott Pachulia/Petro/J. Williams Still I would cut Stevenson for K. Benson, Stevenson should not be in the team.
