  1. Hawksquawk should consider trading plainview to RealGM. Lol.
  2. Can somebody please pause it at the 2 second mark and make an avatar? It is even nicer with Knick logo in the background.
  3. This is off-base. Trae has had more success running the show his way than Murray has. To relegate Trae to a spot up shooter would be crazy. Let’s stop trying to put these guys into an old mold that is no longer relevant. They are figuring out a way to merge their games so they can maximize what both do best. I’m snuffing out all the Trae shade around here. Lol.
  4. I like this but the no look alley oop to clint would be my avatar if I was that technically savvy.
  5. Trae, Murray, and John were voted captains of the team by the team. Each of them have their leadership roles. John vocal and energy, Trae unbounded box office skills, toughness and drive, Murray tenacity, grit, all around get it done. No need to pit them against each other.
  6. Oh and if Nia forgives Udo, I do too. Otherwise, F him. Lol. I still believe in Nate though.
  7. Yeah what’s up with DeAndre’s foul calls? It seems ridiculous to me the fouls they call on him. It is almost like the opposite team goes to the refs before every game and says “you know Hunter is their best defender right? Well that’s only because he bumps people with his body as they are trying to shoot.” And the refs say”hmmn, I will be looking at that closely you might be right”. It is awful to watch Dre sliding his feet in perfect defensive position with his hands up and an offensive player bumps into him, flails, and the refs call the foul. If I were Dre, I would average one tech a game until they stop calling that BS. Otherwise, I would make them count if they are going to call that baby stuff and send a message to the other team and institute a no layup rule.
  8. That is exactly what thought as soon she wrote that. Lol.
  9. Both Trae and DJM are playing too many minutes right now. I would be happier if they maxed out at 35 mins a game this early in the season. Bogi will help with that, but in the meantime AJ can take some of few of those mins off of their plate.
  10. Agreed this is my stance for the whole team though except John. He is playing with the pace and energy we need on both ends of the floor. When everyone matches his level on both ends consistently, we will be hard to beat.
  11. Seems like I am the only who thinks JJ is doing just fine with the minutes he has been given. Not forcing things and making plays when he needs to. People need to remember this is his first week of real nba basketball and he is the 9th option on the team. I like what I see so far.
  12. That fourth quarter was great to watch. That level of energy on offense and defense is what I have been clamoring for. Let’s hope this is a team that can play at the level night in and night out for at least 40 mins a game.
  13. I think he is probably the best coach you will find for this scenario. He and Gary Payton were two guards with similar skills that played well together and made it all the way to the finals. He does need to keep tweaking until he gets it right. I think Bogi is the missing piece. That shooting, even the threat of it, is what is missing so far.
  14. Just saying…. This is against real nba players.
  15. Yeah. I love Clint so keep this next statement in perspective…he seems like he is bothered by something. He is usually an energy guy and upbeat. He seems to be ambivalent and it not his normal self. The next time a guard gets beat and leaves him hanging, I want to seem admonishment from him. Also, he still needs to quarterback the defensive sets and switches with his voice. Not really seeing that.
  16. How about bashing other teams about how they had to cheat to beat us. Lol. I am down for this. Observations but no firm conclusions.
  17. Only thing I will add to this thread is, it looked like we died on every screen and no one stepped up to hedge. Conversely, we set soft screens, particularly Capella. It was like they didn’t want to make physical contact in order to protect themselves. Our guards couldn’t turn the corner where there guys were wide open off of screens.
  18. I hear you. Trae is not beyond critique. However, I for one, will not be taking for granted the greatness I see every night. I will not be forgetting the ECF run. So far that was the best season in Atlanta Hawks franchise history and Trae shimmied and three point bombed us there. I am riding with my team and Trae until the wheels fall off.
  19. Agree but by the way, I think up to nearly 50 percent on those logo threes.
  20. They way you wrote your post seemed like you were bashing. I understand your larger point about about perspective and different situations. I also understand objectivity but I am a fan of the Hawks so I could care less about what another fan base thinks of my opinions. I am not here to judge anyone or rate their posts, I appreciate folks being objective about Hawks players good and bad including Trae’s shooting percentage.
  21. What?? Are you saying AI is flat out more efficient than Trae and Ja is flat out better? I must be in bizzaro world. I can’t let these side shots at Trae survive. The conversation needs to shift to something else.
