  1. I love the way the team played as a whole. Everybody was moving and sharing the ball. So much so, a couple of guys were surprised the ball came back to them and wasn’t ready to shoot when they got it. I couldn’t believe Dre came back after that ankle sprain. The first time I have seen him not baby an injury. Clint is amazing, Bogi got it going, John had his intangibles, Murray was in rhythm, and Trae oh boy Trae. Outstanding all around game. Effort, defense, pass first, good efficiency, and NO turnovers. That top 8 rotation with AJ will be a force to reckon with in the league if they play all out each game.
  2. Schlenk can sit back a watch his work worry free. Lol.
  3. That’s what I want to see. Domination!
  4. Let’s stop playing around with these boys.
  5. Yessir! This is like game 1. Our whole team is here!
  6. I joke but I am seriously thinking about getting those Trae Young 2s for Christmas lol.
  7. Absolutely. Trae should also hire a PR person too and a stylist while he is at it too. Lol. I love my boy Trae but he could use a stylist for real for real.
  8. Do I hear a Bol Bol trade anyone? Huh, huh.
  9. I do think Schlenk had a lot to do with those transactions but Fields was the spokes person for those moves and he was elevated around that time so I believe his involvement was crucial to making those two things happen. Also, those moves felt different than the things Schlenk has done in the past. If I recall correctly, we never worked out AJ but selected him anyway. Schlenk has never done that. As an advanced scout, Fields probably had the most insight on AJ. Also, the Murray trade hedged our future a little bit and Schlenk never does that. That’s why I believe Schlenk pushed for the Huerter move to balance out our future budget sheets.
  10. I actually always thought that Resseler wanted to go into luxury tax to compete now but Schlenk convinced him it wasn’t worth it yet. The Huerter trade had Schlenk written all over it. For what it is worth, I think Schlenk was right to do this in the long run. It has unleashed the development of AJ and if Bogi would have started the season like Schlenk expected, we would have never missed Huerter. Fields is more responsible for the Murray trade and the AJ selection and that is where his tenure starts for me. Diesel is right though, we will see in short order what direction we are headed in. I think we are about to accelerate the win now mode.
  11. This also sounds more like a personal request from Schlenk because of personal reasons but also because he has confidence in Fields. Tony is honoring a request from Schlenk.
  12. By the way, I appreciate what Schlenk has done in his tenure. To me it has been the most exciting Hawks basketball since the late 80’s. We also are still primed to contend.
  13. Landry Fields is the man now. I fully support him as he tries to do what no other Hawk GM has been able to ever. That is win it all of course. let’s go!
  14. That is crazy. If anyone on that list had been playing on pace like that it would have been pandemonium back in the day.
  15. Bump this. Did i see the graphic correctly that he is about to pass Magic Johnson with 30 and 10 games? Only Jerry West to beat after that. In less than 5 years. Wow just wow. He has earned homerism.
  16. In Dre’s defense Fultz held his arm and pulled him away from him. Savvy vet move.
  17. Great Hawks basketball. Bogi and Griff make a huge difference with Trae and Murray. Everything seemed to flow better. Amazing what happens when you have shooting and ball movement.
  18. Hmmm? Biggest issue is that if Turner doesn’t work out and walks, you lose John for nothing.
  19. It pretty clear to me what is happening now. John’s agent is desperately trying to get him in a better situation. All this passive aggressiveness is imitating from there. Look, I like John and his game and don’t necessarily blame him for trying to get a larger role, but it is now becoming a distraction we aren’t able to overcome. His team is feeding inside info to the media to see if there are any takers out there. I wouldn’t be shocked if someone linked to John put that info out there about Nate and Trae. Not John himself but someone in his camp. Time for me to envision a team without John if this keeps up. If it is not true, his camp needs to shoot this stuff down immediately.
  20. Trae shot like crap this game, but… I think it was one of the better games he has played. His defensive effort was way above his norm and kept us in the game when it could have gotten out of hand. Even though he had 14 assists, he got off the ball relatively quickly or let others bring it up the court until late in the game. He was active when he didn’t have the ball in his hands and literally sacrificed his body on defensive plays. And he didn’t even take the game winning shot. He played probably his most unselfish game. Glad we got the win because it will solidify his trust in his teammates.
  21. This game reminds me of the Tony Snell game winner that started our eastern conference finals run.
