    Trae

Yeah, I noticed this. Trae has to trust his team more. This reminds me of the Micheal Jordan breakthrough year where he finally trusted Paxton to shoot the last shot. It unlocked the Bulls. Trae has supreme confidence in himself and now he has to have supreme confidence in his team. He does not need to be Steph Curry, but he has hot to get off the ball a little earlier and stay active without the ball and trust that the ball will find the weak spot in the defense. My guy will make the small adjustment in fue time.
  2. Do you think there any correlation with increased minutes Trae and DJ sharing the court more in the 4th quarter with the drop in efficiency? I think this is the last nut that needs to be cracked. Trae can dominate a fourth quarter with the ball in his hands with great success. DJ can be close to the same. Also, there is ball movement offensive options to keep the others involved or keep riding the hot hand, whoever that might be. I think there still confusion about this and it is causing inefficiency at the end of games. Personally, I would establish ball movement offense early in the game, have DJ and Trae rotate finishing each of the first three quarters without the other and let them play-make at that time. In the fourth quarter I would continue running my ball movement offense until about 4 mins left in the game. I would then run the offense through Trae with DJ on the floor to close out the game. I think this would clear up the confusion about where shots will come from and make our 4 quarter shooting more efficient.
  3. Wow. I didn’t see the game yet. Man I hope Bob is ok. Love that guy.

    Trae

Hmmm? Sounds interesting. Somebody had to spill the beans and you know JC has a relationship with Shams.

    Trae

Every single coach will have an issue with every single player. They are coaches. They literally are always trying to get their players to play better or adhere to a system constantly. Nate and Trae are no different. Nate has taken a stand on what ever issue he is trying to get across. Now let’s see if it works. That does not make Trae a cancer. Just last year the NBA was lauding Trae for being such a team guy unlike that guy in Dallas that got his whole organization shipped off.

    Trae

Yeah but the coach told him not to show up. If he did, then he would have been disobeying a direct order from his coach. Nate should have never put him in this position.
  7. Shams has been trying to trade John for 3 years now. Since he can’t do that, he wants to stir up some trae crap.
  8. Yall probably the same folks that wanted Luka.
  9. I do see it ending in a ring. He is our best chance in franchise history to get one. He is also fun to watch all the way there.
  10. I don’t disagree with any of this except the fact that Murray doesn’t play well with Trae. Murray is playing at an allstar level next to Trae. In the playoffs we will need more playmakers in half court grind it out games. My view point is that Trae Young is very good at basketball. The Hawks are at their best when he is playing well. No other version of the Hawks team has more potential than when Trae plays. There will be plenty of nights where them team will win without Trae or win when does not play well however there will be more nights we win when he is doing his thing. It is just mid boggling how some folks treat the Hawks best player. I avoid watching BSPN to come hear and bask in the glory of my team only to find ESPN like hate here. I wish I was back in Atlanta so I could have season tickets to the six man zone so I can be around my tribe.
  11. Don’t fall for it bro. All of us can have honest opinions about what we think. That’s different than harping on a guys weakness every moment you get just to prove some remote notion you are right about an aspect of someones game. I think most of us are fans of the team and that we ultimately want to see the players and the franchise succeed.
  12. No worries. Consistent effort and winning 50/50 ball situations is my focus this season. It is hard for any team to sustain that for 48 mins a game every night but the ones that do it the most, especially if they have superior talent, will win most of those games.
  13. Nope you got me wrong. Denver’s defensive effort was low this game. That doesn’t mean the Hawks offense wasn’t good. I gave a reason why this game their defensive effort was low and that is because they probably game planned for Trae and when he wasn’t there, they didn’t make the adjustment to the new guys. That’s different than saying the are a bad defensive team overall. I am one that is on record saying I think this one of the best Hawks team ever and they will need time to gel and they seem to be doing that more and more. The only thing that gives this team fits is when they run up against a scrappy high effort team. Conversely, when we are scrappy and high effort for 48 mins, other team don’t stand a chance. No need to call me a Joker either. It is not an excuse for a win, it is the fact that we took advantage of a weakness they had that night. That’s what good teams do.
  14. Man you are saying that like all 5 starters haven’t done this with Trae on the floor. Just celebrate what the team is doing good without bashing other players. It’s ok.
  15. This game was a classic case of the “better” team playing down to the competition when they saw our guys out. Also, they probably game planned around Trae, and when he wasn’t there they had no answer. Denver’s defense was bad, just like Orlando’s the game before, no real effort by them. I believe that this is the most talent the NBA has had top to bottom and on any given night you can get beat. This season is going to be all about what team can sustain the most effort for 48 mins. Tonight it was us.
  16. I generally agree with this but sometimes teams will game plan to take away other options and Trae may have to take what the defense gives him. A good example would be the first two games of the ECF where the Bucks laid off of Trae trying to take away the roll man in the PNR. He torched them until they paid the ref to take him out. Lol.
  17. AJ is is averaging 24 points a game when he plays around 30 mins and about 10 points when he plays at around 15 mins. He is NOT disappointing.
  18. Lol. Snyder spilling all the beans. I bet he has tons of stuff on those owners.
  19. I hope his knee is not worse than last year after the surgery. It is weird trying to read between the lines. He says he does not have anymore pain. It that because of the surgery or is it due to the fact that he is not playing? My point is if it doesn't hurt and you hav had 3 months to build back strength, what’s the hold up? He also said he has good and bad days. Sounds like setbacks in recovery. Another question, what will his role be with the emergence of AJ?
