  1. Bruh I’m digging Heidekker. Knows his way around the paint for a small guard.
  2. Wish John was there too. It should be required after the paydays he and Trae got lol.
  3. I’ve never been this excited for a SL game. I wanna see Skylar aggressive at the point of attack on D and taking good threes. I swear he can be Jalen Brunson Lite.
  4. The championship window is wide open now. The only hurdles I see in the way of the Hawks playing State of The Art type of ball are stringing together stops with Trae on the floor and passing prowess from the front court. The worst defender I’ve seen on a championship team at starting Point is Tony Parker, who’s still much better than Trae (don’t be surprised at all if Wright is playing some crunch time minutes in place of Trae a la Manu). And passing from Bigs opens a whole new dimension to controlling pace and versatility, see Bogut and Draymond. Hopefully Trae’s league-best floater and our elite chemistry can account for those two shortcomings. We added guys who fit seamlessly with the continuity. A True 7 footer would be nice but the 07-08 Celtics didn’t have one so we can manage. Our depth is so dominant the possibility that it culminates in a Game 7 Finals win is worth putting some money down hey @TheNorthCydeRises?
  5. Yeah they are. If he isn’t shooting lights out he contributes to losses. Not to mention his spotty availability. Anything is an upgrade from Payton tho.
  6. There has to be a sizable gap between the Hawks and the next best 10-man rotation in the league. We got ball handling, shooting, rebounding, and defensive versatility in spades. Championship teams with great depth (14-15 Warriors) have their starters closer to 31 minutes. Those who are front-loaded (20-21 Bucks) are closer to 33. I think we can be the former.
  7. Nah. He’s killed every team he’s ever been on with his team defensive skills, or heavy lack thereof. Winslow drags your offense down with his three point and FT shooting. I can get with Matthews though. Giles is very efficient as well I’d take a flyer.
  8. I always liked Dennis’ moxie but I wouldn't want him on my team. Although he presses well it’s usually for show; he just doesn’t affect dribbles, passes, and shots enough considering his quickness and length. And that three ball, ugh. He would fit well in NY their fans love flashy players with mediocre substance.
  9. Can’t say I’m excited about a guy with a 101 to 118 rating last season with us but he’s integral to the poise of our young guys. He isn’t getting any younger, still his career low .370 on 2 pointers has to be an anomaly seeing how his 3 point and FT percentages were much higher than his career averages, albeit on lower frequencies. His playing time will be tied to how his mid range is working. Rather see Mays cut his teeth with Cam, JJ, Gallo, and Dieng tho.
  10. I remember that series like it was yesterday. The Pistons trashed them, and it was beautiful. I’ll always have a soft spot for Thuggin Larry Brown off that one. Can’t forget Lindsey and Big Nasty. That boy scored on like 12 different post moves.
  11. …if there’s a reasonable debate between Trae and Dre for Finals MVP.
  12. There is certainly a logjam, I was just pointing out he’s a better passer than any of them. I’m hoping JJ can play a hybrid 3/4.
  13. Thanks I didn’t realize Divencienzo started. Like him better as a 6th man but he rebounds well enough to start. Looking at his FT shooting I expect his 3 point shooting to come back down to Earth a bit. They definitely need another impact signing to remain a front runner.
  14. I thought Sap was dead but he was pretty efficient last season. We could certainly use a front court player with a 2:1 assist to turn ratio; last season was his first and he should be able to duplicate that here. If we sign Coop and Mays I’ll consider this roster complete. Just sit back and watch all the position groups fight for minutes as we blow out every team we should.
  15. Not surprised the Heat let Nunn walk but for $5 mil per? That’s sweet for a career .540 eFG shooter. I just don’t trust Dragic and Lowry’s health. With what Derozan got paid I’m guessing he’s not coming off the bench. How the hell is that gonna work with Lavine? Both volume shooters who take plays off defensively like it’s cool. Lonzo ain’t gonna be a fan. It is very impressive Derozan had a career high in assists in his 12th season tho. I think the Bucks considerably weakened themselves letting Tucker walk. Portis is an elite 7-8 man. He’s just gonna be a pretty good starter.
  16. Glad he’s back and paid. He has a +10 rating in his regular season career, duplicated it in the playoffs. $25 mil per is perfect for an ultra-efficient eFG shooter and lively teammate who doesn’t need the ball and should become at least a neutral box defender next season, hopefully off the strength of his blocks returning to 1.6 per. Welcome back lil bro let’s take these rings.
  17. I keep forgetting Gallo still here. If we can see flashes of 2K Gallo and Lemon Pepper Lou, I fully expect Jalen Johnson to eat all of Solo’s minutes. We’re a legit 14 deep wtf. With everyone healthy coming out of the AS break this team should be on automatic steamroll.
  18. One of the best shooters you’ll see who really doesn’t give a damn if he actually gets to shoot. Portland needs all the decent defenders they can get, he should fit nicely.
  19. Lol I’m afraid you’re right. Hanging on the rim after a dunk can’t mask that .400 eFG at 253 pounds. Good luck to the kid tho.
  20. His shooting numbers were bad sure enough but he usually came through when we needed him. Wish him well.
  21. Appreciate it, I didn’t get that memo. He would’ve been a nice screening piece but I’m not losing sleep over him. I prefer Dieng.
  22. 5 star post. We definitely can be top 4 in both, but Trae will have to compete and help the team stop the ball like he did in the playoffs. Forming good double teams near the sideline, sneaky dig downs on the Bigs, well-anticipated passing lane jump type plays. I want his steals near 1.5 instead of .8 as an indicator of his ball pressure. He will definitely be pushed in practice to defend Cooper and run the offense against Wright so I love the competition in the PG room. I usually like a vet in the mix but with Nate as a well-respected former PG he can act as that voice. With Cooper and Wright I just don’t see a spot for Lou. I count 7 guys even without John who can be asked to defend multiple positions based on matchups in OO (4 and 5), Dre (1-4), Kevin (2, 3) , Bogi (2, 3), Wright (1, 2) Cam (1-3) and Dieng (4,5). With the added playmaking in Wright and Cooper, and the added offensive rebounding with Johnson, Dieng, and Thompson (haven’t seen him on any updated rosters, what’s up with that?) Schlenk has just been running circles around his peers. Elite GMing. Fully healthy I expect this team to do some historic sh*t.
  23. https://stathead.com/basketball/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=0&player_id1=wrighde01&player_id2=gilgesh01 Per 36 almost identical outside the FT attempts and 3 point %. He has a controlling, deliberate pace on offense like SGA while also speeding up the opposing team on defense hence his great ratings. I like the 62 game sample size playing versus starters.
