I think we’re seeing the issues that come with youth. Nothing is promised in this league, even if someone tells you otherwise. I’ve seen starters get bench minutes and bench players get starter minutes - too much emphasis on a label and I think that comes with still being somewhat young and wanting to prove something. Guys that have been in the league longer are usually more willing to cede on things like this. Promises can be made but this league is a business and conditions are always changing. Don’t put your trust in someone’s word, put the trust in your work. Either way if Bogi feels like this isn’t the situation for him, there isn’t much we can do if he has a chip on his shoulder about it.

I was just happy that Simmons finally got traded so call it a W for me this deadline. The thought of having to continue to hear about that situation the rest of the season made me cringe.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/33167873/sacramento-kings-pull-pursuit-philadelphia-76ers-ben-simmons-sources-say If the Kings and their aloof front office even realize the Sixers are crazy for what they’re asking then that definitely says something. Morey’s stubbornness is going to be his downfall in this one. His iron fist is about to do a 180 and go up his….never mind.

Regardless of what Cam does in a couple years it’s highly doubtful he’d be with us anyways. He didn’t want to stay and we didn’t want to have to cater to someone that had yet to consistently prove anything thus far in his career. I loved Cam and hope he gets to that All-Star level but it’s going to take a lot. Can’t let your emotion and attachment get in the way of the reality of the situation.

Who starts the rest of the season: Huerter or Bogi

I’m not sure what you see here. That’s a pretty boring shirt…. -
I’m so tired of seeing them roll the ball up the court with still 4 minutes left in the 4th. Too much defensive offense.

Yeah, there’s definitely ways to fix his game (a la Markelle Fulton and his free throws). The question though, is will he be open to it? Just based on what I’ve seen with his inability to be open to shooting more 3s, reports on him, and how he’s handled his Philly situation I don’t see him coming in and just doing anything that is suggested for him to improve his game without him dictating. That’s why I’ve never been a fan of getting him unless he could be had really cheap as a backup PG and defensive specialist.

I think some of our problems just stem from a failure to adjust to the new rules. The game has been more enjoyable to watch but it has hurt us. We are one of the top 3pt % shooting teams but the only one up there with a losing record. Shooting is not the same formula for success that it has been in the past when the league was doing all they could to attract fans for the offensive part of the game. We still have that old frame of thinking since it worked last year but it isn’t this time around. There needs to be change and Nate needs to be more flexible there. We also don’t have the “dogs” defensively that we need and that some of these better teams have. Getting OO and Hunter back has helped a bit, but they aren’t “dogs” on the defensive end. Maybe OO can be that but it’s obvious we still need more on that end.

Does anybody remember our first game of the season against Dallas? That feels like a different team/season from long ago.

Even the most positive around these parts need to admit this is looking pretty grim. Lots of work to be done. It’s crazy how we went from a team with so much potential to glaring holes everywhere. I’ve never seen a team with the same personnel and roster look so different from one season to the next.

Also I’m ok with voicing the Trae frustrations but what do people think they’ll really get in return for him? The savior or our franchise? Do tell.

I’ve noticed that too. He has been getting beat on defense twice as much this season. I honestly hope we package Bogi and I’d be fine with Huerter starting. He just has no awareness on offense or defense and doesn’t fit here.

I might need to stick to box scores for now. Better play than I’ve seen but I don’t know if I can handle another L….

Terrible decision to foul there by K-von. Man up and trust your defense.

Crappy ending but it was nice to see a solid 3rd quarter for once.
