  1. Yeah, plenty of hate has gone around for these guys. Harden included. This just encompasses what the problem is for KD: he can't keep his mouth shut. He has looked hypocritical with past comments and has gotten sucked into flame wars on Twitter, etc. All that stuff has just put more of a spotlight on him while he tries to constantly defend himself to the masses when honestly he just needs to let it go. At least guys like Harden and Bron kind of accepted the hate for what it was and moved along.
  2. Nah, he's just waiting and cruising through the regular season so he can turn it on when it's playoff time. Lean mean beard machine! Right? Right???
  3. Says the guy who rarely celebrates anything.....
  4. That Mavs opener was one of the best and showed how we could look if we played as a complete team. The unfortunate part is it went downhill from there for awhile.
  5. The thing that stands out to me with Murray is that wingspan! Going to be nice to see it on the defensive end.
  6. It’s one thing to believe you can contribute but it’s another to show it. He had a chance to at least show flashes and he failed. Best of luck ‘Rife!
  7. But I need this! I need something!!! I’m struggling over here and this isn’t fixing it.
  8. This was me, after seeing what the Twolves had to give up to get Gobert:
  9. I just voted! Did I miss something?
  10. Now that’s just a lazy response.
  11. Dude was a walking bucket, especially when we needed it during our playoff run. Appreciate the instant offense you got that Lou couldn’t give us!
  12. Me: Stop checking Twitter, stop refreshing the Squawk, stop checking the most recent news articles..... Also me:
  13. If fixing the knee helps him on the defense end, that’s all I ask. Any improvement offensively is icing on the cake for me.
  14. Al was and has always been a class act. I’m still salty because I’d held him to a higher standard. Everyone has their moments but he could’ve circled back and apologized and I would’ve accepted. He didn’t. That says a lot to me. If this were a Bradley Beal or Patrick Beverley type, I’d at least understand and move on from it. The fact that he still hasn’t said anything to this day is why I could care less about him. He hasn’t given us a single thought so why do the same for him?
  15. And you believed them? Are you the same person clicking because they have young, sexy, single Hawk fans that live next door to you and you didn’t even know it?
  16. So, the real question is are you the Heat, Spurs, or Lakers? Since I’m none of those I’ll make up my own. I’m the Sacramento Kings. Mostly forgotten but occasionally I’ll pop my head out with some ish that’ll make you scratch your head. I also lead people to drink heavily so they can stand me. Wait. This isn’t going so well….
  17. How was he not a Heat guy? He is “the” Heat guy. Took a pay cut his whole time there and only left because Riley’s stubborn self wouldn’t finally pay him what he was worth. Still came back, buried the hatchet, and gave his fans one last run. If he wants to pursue other financial opportunities after his career that pop up, then good for him. He has done plenty for that franchise.
  18. Yeah, that's what I was hinting at. He doesn't have to start, but he could get a lot of meaningful minutes on our squad if he was up for the role.
  19. I wonder if Portis is more willing to leave with the Bucks out of the playoffs now. He’s not the ball handler we need but he could do a lot to shore up some of the defense that Bogi and Huerter don’t provide, as well as the rebounding Hunter rarely provides.
  20. Let's redo the top 75 NBA list, Supes style! 1. Al Horford 2. Draymond Green 3. Dennis Rodman 4. Ben Wallace 5. Robert Horry 36. Cam Reddish Let's just list all the players that played on winning teams and contributed to them but never had a defense have to focus on them because they just aren't that good offensively. All while completely negating other players that put up amazing statistics despite having teams hone in on them. These players help you win a chip but they aren't the reason you're winning it. You need a guy that puts up numbers and draws attention to do that. Basketball 101. Your attachment issues are really clouding your judgment bro. I do appreciate you keeping the Hawks offseason interesting though.
  21. Nostradamus over here! It’s ok, Karl Malone…I mean, Al Horford has another 130 playoff games to hit that mark again. So when he’s 48 and puts up another 30 piece in the playoffs you’ll see why he was a more meaningful Hawk than ‘Nique!
  22. Also, this was his first 30 point game in 132 career playoff games so let's not get carried away here. So many missed opportunities to do more for us. Far from a franchise savior.
  23. I liked Al when he was here. He's a proven winner, but I don't need to give him any additional recognition with our franchise given the way he left. He could've done so much more to not leave a bad taste when he left. Same can be said for Bud. Al is a winner, but a tertiary player at best on a championship team. Winners don't always equal championships either and I can think of plenty of times he wasn't clutch for us, and that point blank miss with the Celtics vs. Rockets.....so yes, having him on your team is a plus but don't rely on him with the clock winding down.
  24. We’ll done Doc, you didn’t cave to the Raps. Now your stubbornness to leave your players in when they don’t need to be came back to bite you. That’s when bad stuff happens. The losers are frustrated, the winners are full of adrenaline. It’s like the saying of “nothing good happens after 2am.” I’ve never understood this old school type of coaching. Put your foot off the gas and take your players out. Unfortunately I could see the same thing happening under Nate.
