  1. A young kid with talent playing for an old school coach wanted more playing time and probably had others in his ear about it. He was professional about it. No need to hate on the guy but I do hope it helps the Hawk’s product getting him gone.
  2. I'm going to wait until the end of the deadline, but this stings. I'm conflicted because I'm still rooting for Cam to do well but now I'm not so sure because we could get shafted if he were to blow up. Especially as a Knick.....
  3. I still don’t get the Kuzma hype. He’s strung together some great games but he has done that in the past. The guy is streaky. His overall numbers still don’t pop out. Let’s see what he does over the whole season. Trae is a big issue but it’s mainly because our offense is built around living or dying with him. Some of that is on Trae but some of that is on our offense and coaching. And when our shooting is off (Bogi, Huerter, etc.) we suffer. I get the issues with Trae but most folks act like removing him from the equation is going to magically fix everything. Instead, we should be flexible and figure out ways to incorporate a generational offensive talent into a winning formula. There is plenty that can still be done. Even just pushing the pace last night could’ve helped, whether Trae or someone else. We looked half a step slow out there. Finding a better backup PG. Our 1st quarter lead disappeared when Trae went out. But that’s his fault too? And mixing up the offense to involve other like JC so we aren’t so reliant on one guy. That’s my take.
  4. It’s obvious there is more than one problem but so many of you want to point the finger at one person, depending on what agenda you’re pushing. Either way this is definitely bad enough where we need to change something up, and probably a few things.
  5. I laugh but I definitely thought that for a minute. A nice surprise!
  6. I should've never talked smack about Westbrook's TOs. They've switched places tonight in that regard.
  7. Trae in 3rd place right now for East guards: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-hawks/trae-young-third-among-east-guards-after-first-round-of-all-star-fan-voting/WI6ARL53ERGFXFWD4EJT27R7NI/%3FoutputType%3Damp Let’s get him past Harden!!! Derozan I’m ok with, he deserves it.
  8. I’m going to say Westbrook matches Trae’s assists. Except they’ll be turnovers.
  9. I guess it depends on who you’re asking. I get it but I never saw us as contenders per se, but I did see us as at least top 4 in the east. I’ll concede we’ve way underperformed to my expectations at this point but I think a 4 or 5 seed is realistically still in reach though it will take a lot to crack the top 4. We know it’s possible though after seeing our turnaround last season.
  10. End of the season, we’re not even halfway. Considering everything going on, right now is probably the worst “I told you so” moment.
  11. This is what happens when you build a team off of nostalgia and not current performance.
  12. 100%. At this point the league just wants to "look good" on paper with no real substance to the process and they're obviously dragging their feet on potentially shortening the quarantine period. Shows you where their priorities lie.
  13. Time to reach out to the streets. I’ve been dreaming of the day when they call my name and I can check into the game. Put me in Nate Dogg! Its for my own cause for those of us getting past our basketball primes: The Make-a-Swish Foundation.
  14. From what I see on court, there hasn’t been much change. I will say that morale still seems to be alright though. They faltered much quicker on Lloyd and I think that’s mostly attributed to leadership style differences between the two. Some continued losing might change the dynamic though depending on how it’s handled.
  15. His own “boss” didn’t support him as an Olympian. Call it tough love or whatever you want but that’s messed up. If I’m putting up superstar numbers and aren’t rewarded by my own coach who should be vouching for me, I’d want him gone too. Lloyd could just as easily be apologizing to Trae for screwing him on that deal when he was in Pop’s ear.
  16. For all the praise Embiid gets he sure as hell isn’t clutch. He just manages to find a way to the line late in games. Follows through with the pick on Mays that wasn’t called and then blows the wide open shot for the tie. Karma is a b**** buddy!
  17. Cam’s talent with Bogi’s forgetful mentality would go a long way if we could somehow combine them.
  18. Bogi is a straight up liability tonight on both ends.
  19. I’m going with “Cray” Young and his hair will be even more out of control a la:
  20. I felt very uncomfortable watching this.
  21. Where’s the pope when you need him?
  22. Man, poor Indy. They have had so many tough close games, their record doesn’t necessarily reflect how good they are. Their bad juju strikes again and we were able to pull this out even with the terrible play at the end. I’ll gladly take the road W.
