  1. That's essentially the point that I was getting at in the second half of my post. People will come when they believe they have a reason to not because they're being called out for not doing so.
  2. Lazy as it is, it's still true, in which the question becomes: how do you get that million dollars?
  3. We already know what would help attendance the most. A superstar and/or championships. Just saying "we've got a good product, so you should buy it" Isn't going to do it. The best selling products often speak for themselves by having a dedicated base, being cutting edge and/or have a proven track record of success.

I wouldn't completely say they don't know basketball. I think its more of the awareness rating systems. If Sap has a higher offensive awareness (and he does) than Horford, his rating is going to automatically be higher. Kemba probably has a higher offensive awareness rating than Teague does as well. The awareness ratings are too powerful in relation to the overall. Just look in MyPlayer for example, if you boost nothing but awareness stats your overall increases MUCH faster. It could be worse though, Live is overrating players in a more ridiculous manner (James Harden a 90. How's that possible with a 0 in defense?*) In the end, ratings aren't far removed from opinion. It's not like they can't be edited for more personal accuracy. *i don't know what his overall defensive ratings are... but they shouldn't be much higher than the IQ of a toaster.
  5. Why do you want this? We're already too much of a live and die by the jumper type of team.
  6. a bit off topic (sorry @Dolfan) but how is this NOT an internet meme? or at least an HS one? lol
  7. That's exactly my point and I should've stated that... unless there's changes made, I think it'd definitely make things harder. I could be wrong though, it wouldn't be the first. lol. But would Penn State really be just fine had they kept the people involved in the incident?
  8. While there are some fans that might, this surely won't help us with our FA issues and therein lies the problem. No top FAs, no butts in seats, potentially no advancing to the ECFs and less money.
  9. You're probably right... we'll just go back to being the same middling team that top FAs don't consider just because they don't want to play here and/or over-pay middle tier ones like Deng. Same as usual. That's so much better than them not coming because they believe that Ferry is a racist... The only level of winning that will remove the stain of this fiasco, in my opinion, is no less than getting to the ECFs.
  10. I think he's got to go regardless. As others have said, this WILL affect free agents and not just the elite ones. If Ferry stays, all that cap space and flexibility bs that Ferry loves to talk about will be as useless as tits on a (insert object). The only way for this franchise to move forward will be to fully clean house (like others, I do hope this doesn't affect Bud unless he's in on this idiocy too).
  11. WLOC! He also plans to keep us broke and locked into NBA purgatory....
  12. Wow... I should've known that when my Falcons overcame the "expert odds" by beating the Saints that there would be some sort of dimensional repercussion. This is madness! No! This. Is. THE HAWKS! But seriously, there could really be a silver (pun intended) lining here if they (and they absolutely should) clean house. However, Ferry was right about one thing... he set out to change the culture of the franchise and boy did he!
  13. Well... this is bizarre but it's via Marc Stein so... http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/234753/Spurs-Express-Interest-In-Gustavo-Ayón "The San Antonio Spurs have expressed interest in Gustavo Ayón. Ayón is a free agent after playing for the Atlanta Hawks last season. The Spurs are also hopeful about re-signing Aron Baynes."
  14. Honestly, I kind of think it may be Kyle or someone else that no one expects. Lol.
  15. If that's a better, more consistent and less pricey option, I may look into that as well.
  16. Yes... however, League Pass is far too rich for my blood. lol.
  17. We have all this evidence here to prove that it an elite level player is an important cog in contention. What bothers me most, is both Ferry and Bud have worked with successful teams with future HOFs in the past but seem to refuse to realize how their previous teams got them (or more so Ferry anyways). On topic, Payne could very well be a solid player ( on a roster of solid players) but if they're grooming him to play C, that leads me to think that Horford may be preparing his luggage and signing pen for that contract elsewhere.
  18. If you're talking about only having 2 games on TV, I do. As a Hawks fan on the west coast, I'd love to be able not have to rely on laggy streaming sites for a change... If not, carry on. lol.
  19. He isn't a good one per se but he isn't terrible however, he isn't as good there as Josh was (when he wasn't pretending to be Antoine Walker). From what I've seen, Al gets a lot of shots around the basket due to PnR. Which he's very good at. But my main point is if he had less mechanical movement and more variation in the post, it would help him and the team as a whole. Especially if he's supposed to be our "Duncan" ... Secondly, Al already gets a good amount of his offense facing up. Which is why he's known for his signature "jab. jab. jab. jumper." routine. I'd love for Al to take more advantage of his quickness, be more decisive and play a little more like Millsap does. It'd add another dimension that he for some reason has never taken advantage of. Maybe he'll use it this season, just because they asked him to. But seriously, no one is saying none of his points, however he gets them, don't count. Of course they do... I'd just like for Al to be able to get them in as many ways as he possibly can.
  20. So... I guess no one has asked him to work on his post moves?
  21. Seems that, as stated many times before, we're going to have to acquire that type of player via the draft. While the ways to get this are varied amongst us, it still may be our best hope. That said... drafting in the 15-20+ range will make it less likely, but still possible.

    Payne...

That may have to happen if we don't have Horford after the next couple of years and if Edy is still too raw.
