Haven't we played that same song for years now? Sure, there are some good FAs next off season, but will we get any of the ones that put us over the top? I kind of feel like they'll pay Horford and then sign more 2nd to 3rd string level players. We still need a good wing too.

To be honest, missing the playoffs could be a good thing. Draft (which hopefully they take seriously) and maybe it'll force Bud to rethink the gameplan and then think of another one in case that one doesn't work. Maybe it will also light a fire under some players asses (other than Sap) as well.

Now @Diesel, we both know that Bud isn't going to trade for any current, potential or future game changing star (don't know if that'd be Clarkson though. My disdain for all things Missouri related, doesn't allow me to even consider that. Lol). Also, I don't think Horford and Dennis would give us that. They could get a solid starter but no one to put the team over the top. -
It's a little early to fully claim that, but if he continues to improve and stays healthy, he could possibly end up being better than most. I'm sure Bud would've loved him. I'd like to see him on a team that doesn't have the Knicks "offense."

The other part of Pop he's missing is Tim Duncan period. That said, I don't think Bud would ever trade Horford. He likes his stretch bigs. -

Tbh, they didn't hold any legitimacy from the beginning outside of Bud being an ex-Spurs Assistant Coach. Pop is one of the most adaptable coaches in the league. As his team or the league changes, so does he. We've never really been like the Spurs.

Golden State also has more talent than we have. We can't just keep adding late 1st, 2nd rounders and aging bench players to patch the holes. -

Yes but...we are NOT they Spurs and never have been. They can get away with that because they don't need Anderson yet. Edy can't be much worse than our backup bigs. He can at least grab a rebound here and there.
