  1. Maybe that's how Bud likes it? Lead by example. He seems kind of like that himself. He's definitely not a Pop type personality. Which was probably a good thing in SA. There's no way that two of those personalities could co-exist.
  2. Supes is handing out 1 stars like parking tickets. Man...
  3. Bud has also assistant coached a team of possibly 3 future HoFers and one of the most complete rosters of all time. It's not the same. If he has the same level of success here, that's be great and I truly hope he does. However, with this current team, I just don't see it. That said, I've been wrong before (last season) and I wouldn't be upset if I was again.
  4. I honestly feel that Bud just doesn't value rebounds. the Hawks teams we've had over the past few years have all been shitty when it comes to rebounds.
  5. That's the same way that I was referring to it.
  6. Yes, it works for them but for what we have as a roster I dont seeing it being as effective as it was last year. How do you come across talent like GSW does and how would you really get it? The Spurs also have 3 future HoFers and Kawhi. How do you get those? We're not really in position (even with our "flexible cap") to acquire that kind of talent and don't know if we will be in the near future. Not to mention that SA doesn't take near as many 3s. That's why I'm saying with the current scheme, outside of last season, I don't know if it can get us a 'ship.
  7. Which sadly kind of makes it same hawks, different season. Also, I don't know if the leadership is there. The coaching is potentially there but I don't think that the current scheme is.
  8. I was led to believe that if I made an ironic post that there would be grilled cheese sandwiches.

  10. I want their first (unlikely, yes I know). I'd part with both Horf and Teague for it (which isn't exactly even), they'd get upgrades now and we'd get a potential upgrade for the future without the dreaded tank.
  11. Outside of last season, that's not too much different than the JJ era.
  12. Is it just me or do we seem to keep getting the most stubborn coaches possible?
  13. While the Pistons didn't have a star, they still had pieces we don't have. As for the Spurs way, I'm tired of this being repeatedly thrown out in relation to the Hawks. We aren't really anything like that team other than the ball movement. The Spurs have so many ways to hurt you. Sure, Timmy D isn't dropping 20 any more but he still does what he needs to. Rebounds, defense, score when needed, etc with consistentcy. Also, he's a future first ballot HOFer. Plus Pop isn't as in love with 3s as Bud is. He doesn't want good shots. He wants great ones. We're really more like a worse shooting, non-consistent and less talented version of the Warriors. Al would be great on a team that already has a strong first and second option. Unfortunately the Hawks, as of now (and for a good while), have neither.
  14. No one says he ISN'T valuable. It's just that his value ISN'T worth the max. You give game changers the max. Players that can be relied on when the game plan fails and can put the team on their backs. Al Horford, and I do like the guy, is not that player. Al is a decent piece of the puzzle but he isn't THE piece.
  15. Maybe he told Bud that Al should take less 3s and drive into the paint more often? Bud's methods shan't be questioned! Lol
  16. Well with that, it looks like Al will be resigned. Since he's the next best player. But man, that's a huge gap between #1 and #2. It's like KD is the globetrotters and Al is the generals.
  17. The sad thing is that we've been 1 player away for about a decade now. :(
  18. I'm sorry... My sarcasm button is broken. Swaggy P was meant for that part. But seriously, wouldn't he just love another inefficient chucker next to THJr? Another 1st would get it done I bet. *sarcasm* Ah! There it is.
  19. Curry. Durant. Swaggy P. Bud would love those guys.
  20. So.. Horford is loved again is it? This off and on things is driving me nuts. Horford still isn't worth equal to Millsap's paycheck unless he plays like he did tonight on a consistent basis.
