  1. I still don't think he'll be any better at the 4. He's had more offensive advantages against the 5s (mainly quickness) in the League but hardly ever exploited them. Also, I don't think his post play will improve all that much and that he's already what he's going to be at this point.
  2. Personally, I'd like for Dennis to be there with Edy and be limited to only 1 position as well. That said, I'm curious to see how these new guys work out.
  3. The Hawks' FB page did a good job of reminding me that the Hawks actually did participate in the draft this year. Lol However, I don't know about trying to hype us up for a player that will likely never see an NBA game in a Hawks Uni. Ah well, keep shooting em Marcus!
  4. I get what you're saying, its valid but we still are NOT the Spurs. They still had/have players that can get it done when necessary. That said... I too am wondering what's going to happen at the SF spot whilst Thabo sits out. Guess we'll see.
  5. So.... maybe we should've kept Oubre and got THJr for 2nd round picks and Mack or something? Not sure if that would've worked salary wise?
  6. After this draft, I feel like Budcox would even trade away a top 5 pick for another "proven" player on a cheap contract. Lol
  7. Well... We did want a unique color palette didn't we? And we got it.lol. Honestly though, I kind of dig it. Especially compared to the current (recent) blue ones.
  8. Agreed. This seems to continuously get ignored. That said, how would we really get one that isn't just a heartless chucker? But on the subject, Kyle shouldn't be but I think it'll more than likely be the case. Baze definitely isn't good enough to start over him as of now.
  9. Is it just me or does the "A" slightly resemble the pac logo's hawk outline?
  10. I'd still rather we trade up for a creative wing somehow as opposed to potentially drafting a player that's similar to what we already have. I know it's all about Bud's "system" but I believe that great coaches can make modifications to their systems with elite talent.
  11. I don't agree on this. I'd rather our center be more dangerous on the blocks rather than at the 3pt line. If he's that far out who's getting offensive rebounds? Also, we don't know if Sap will return as of yet. So that's up in the air. Lastly, I'd argue that Horford does score inside ENOUGH with his speed advantage over other centers and don't get me started on the post moves he still hasn't developed.
  12. It definitely wasn't/isn't Horford. I agree with Jay, we don't have a heart and soul. However, DMC was the closest throught out the playoffs.
  13. I wish those hats were black. That would've made the logo stand out more. I mean, color theory 101 people!
  14. Take Bonkers with you. We don't want to take care of him anymore.
  15. I never said we wouldn't improve. Of course some of our own players will get better... I'm simply stating that we aren't catching anyone by surprise the same way that we did this year. And you're right, we do have possibilities. As long as Pero's gone, I'd have some satisfaction for that alone.
  16. I concur. The ENTIRE team and Bud all need to come into the arena with logs on their shoulders.
  17. Its not bad per se... the issue is the improvement to the rest of the East. Milwaukee, Pacers, and so on. If the Hawks' maintain the exact same core (WLOC 2.0) and the exact same strategy, it may not be as effective as it was this year. Teams can game plan for it now.
  18. Hmmm... Isn't that what He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named wanted?
  19. I gotta say, as someone that lives in a city that has both the Lakers and Clippers, it feels amazing to know that YOUR team has surpassed BOTH of those teams in the post season.
  20. Cosign. I'm all for starters getting more minutes but i also feel that we don't really have the talent to just limit ourselves to just 8 or 9. Roster depth is supposed to be one of our biggest strengths. Cosign. 21. Can he create his own shot though? Or another spot up shooter? We need a wing that can create more than another spot up shooter, IMO.
  22. Well.... all I can say is the series is tied. These next few games will say what this team (and coach) is made of.
  23. I bet that looks amazing on a resume.
