How can LD be the perfect coach for Josh? Last I checked Smoove was deforming the rim with his awesome long jumpers. If Josh says (and I actually would rather have him in the team over Horf as of right now), we need to bring a coach who will sit Josh the moment he takes a dumb jumper. I agree with you on Nene tho, he's a good center at a reasonable price. Al or Josh plus Marvin could be enough to bring Nene and JRSmith.

I'll refrain from voting in this one. I'd trade whomever could land us a decent C (Al/Smoove plus Duck) can get this done I think. If we keep Smoove, then we need another coach. One that would sit Smoove the moment after he takes a dumb long shot. But... weren't we playing those guys vs CHI? I failed to see any consistent post game in that series... Teague and Smoove sometimes, but that's about it.

:iamwithstupid: First off, JJ is not just a 18 point per guy, HE'S NOT JAMAL! The main reason we got this far is JJ was on the court. Check his numbers again throughout the playoffs. Consider how was he being defended and hacked throughout the playoffs. JJ is NO friggin Jamal! We was trying to do the right things out there. Maybe he's a bit slow to pass the ball out of double/triple teams, but that's about it you can say about him. His contract is an albatross, yes, but just try and imagine this team without JJ. Whoa people... Way to overreact! Some of you guys deserved to be negged, but I understand you're mad right now, so it's ok. At the end of the day, we had a much better season (I'm talking playoffs) in what... 20 years maybe? C'mon, these guys overachieved in the playoffs and all of you are bashing them. It's not that I'm any happy with the way it ended, but it's history now. At the end of the day, this season got us 2 decent PGs, we are now a good center short of having a championship caliber team. Too bad we got stripped of Craw's replacement (JoCraw), but there's plenty of cheap SGs out there. Pack Marv and one of Horf/Smoove... maybe someone would take them... Marc/Tony Allen (i think numbers won't work), Nene/JR Smith, David Lee/Dorell wright, Varejão/Jamison, Kaman/Gordon, Bynum/Artest, Oden/Wallace, Marv and a 1st for Splitter... i don't know, just get creative and DO SOMETHING! SIgn Troy Murphy on the cheap, etc. He's much better than Collins/Etan/Powell. Now... if Smoove stays, then we're going to need another coach. Someone who will not allow him wandering by the three point line and who will sit his *ss the moment he take s a bad jumper. Other than that... ah, I fell like we had an OK season. We lost some games to a good team, and at least one to Stern and his refs. I'm not mad with the team, GO HAWKS!

This. The refs broke our will by takig game 5 from us. I won't blame anybody. Now, gotta give props to the Bulls excellent D. They weren't missing shots and smothered our guys on the other end. I hope they beat the Heat. GO DIRK! You're my only hope now.

Fact: Rose drives all the time because he knows he's going to get the call, contact or not. Problem: Referees think that because Rose is the MVP, he should get the calls, contact or not :fist: I don't think this is gonna change game 6, so we better make some "adjustments". If Rose is going to shoot FTs anyway, let's make him "earn" them. I'd start Etan over Collins, and tell him to hit Rose hard as he tries do drive for the first time. Will that result in an ejection? I dont know, but it's Rose, so most likely yes, but we have plenty of big men in the roster. After Etan, Hilton, Powell and Magnum get ejected, I'd run Collins and Zaza. By then Rose would be hurting so much I really think he would avoid driving like that again. Give him real hard, playoff-style fouls. Screw him if he gets hurt. He's circumventing the rules anyway. The NBA is rigged, we can't win if Rose is allowed to play like that. :boxing:

Considering the trend of BS calls will continue... and that this happens only because of Rose... 1. First and foremost: When the refs start with their BS (probably at the very beginning of the game), let Rose know we aren't happy with all the bogus calls he gets from Stern's crooked gang. Make every and each foul count. Make Rose think thrice before driving to the hoop. We have plenty of big guys in the roster who could do this job, 2. Rebound like crazy men when he decides to shoot jumpers.

Hawks' destiny lies in Smoove's hands (and brain). If he plays the birdbrain (1st half tonight), we're screwed. If he plays GOAT (2nd half tonight) we'll have them at our mercy. GO FOR IT SMOOVE!

The problem with Josh's knees is that they're ok. I woudn't wish him to get hurt, but if his knees were bad, he wouldn't play and we would have a great shot at the Conference Finals.

Dude... have you even watched the game? During the first half Noah was being checked by Smoove, not Al. Al was on Loozer and feel free to take a took at what Boozer did in the first half. Go ahead and check who was on Noah when he got that many offensive rebounds in the first half. LD put Al of Noah on the second half, because Smoove wouldn't get it done, and I can tell he did a way better job than Smoove did.

Really, Al has been shooting terribly. But he's still finding a way to not harm the team too much. I believe he's injured. People get hurt often. Tell me, wouldn't you believe Josh had his head injured when he was a baby? I would certainly believe it! :saythat:

You just lost me when you tried to put the blame on Joe. That's ridiculous. What would YOU do if you were the best player on a team and only one of 4 other players helped some? JJ did what he had to do, so did Teague. Smoove, Al, Chuckford and Marv lost us this game. Especially Smoove. Al and Marvin at least rebounded some. Chuckford is meant to chuck, he's hit or miss and we know that. Smoove is meant to... ah, never mind. :beathorse: Well, after all, Maybe you're right. Josh just had a bad half. A bad half career. Josh have dug his own grave with the fanbase. I believe the vast majority of us want him gone. :protest:

That's funny... When Smoove becomes a chucker, he uses to hit the few FTs he gets. When he plays inside he's way more efficient, but can't hit the FTs at the same rate. Go for it Smoove, and hit the damn freebies this time! :idhitit: LET'S GO HAWKS!
