Not here to defend Joe and his shooting woes, but ha managed to help the team in other ways. 10 rebounds, 7 assists, no turnovers. Not too shabby.

aw, c'mon, the offense is fine when run correctly. Problem is when the second unit hits the floor, the wonderful awesome God's gift to the Hawks Jamal Crawford does nothing to help the guys out, Shot after shot after shot, he is the one hurting us the most.

The help they need has a name: Troy Murphy.

Of course they get nothing from the bench. Crawford HAS TO SHOOT ALL THE BALLS THAT GO HS WAY. It's ridiculous. I say trade this guy ASAP, Along with Marvin. :help wanted3: Give some room for Baby Craw to grow.

I understand all the love Craw has got form us all, but it's not like our second unit is the real deal with or without Crawford. :kickcan: Yeah, sure he's had some nice impossible shots during his career and in the ATL, he is the deserving 6th MOTY, because Woody ball and iso plays are so good for him, but I wonder if Crawford really fits or "new" style of play. I believe the second unit is not supposed to play like it has been playing. There are no plays whatsoever, all we see is Crawford dominating the ball. Our second unit can't score at all except for Craw who has got all the shots and is unwilling to share the ball. He's desperate for an extension so he has to have the ball in his hands at all times. All Crawford does now is dominate the ball and shoot some threes, eventually try to go to the hole and draw some fouls (which is really good when he does get the whistle, I'm sick and tired if seeing his dumb turnovers). When his shot is off, we concede 10-20 point swings in what, 5 minutes? Murphy, if healthy, would give us post presence, some trips to the FT line, solid rebounding and would eventually go for the 3 which he shoots very well. His contract is almost up, just like Crawford's. He was a double-double machine until last season. It's not like the points Craw does would just vanish. His health is a real concern, but because he doesn't need to have the ball in his hands, Teague and Jordan would have a better developmental environment. And they need it a lot if we are going to keep them long term.

Link This is a guy I personally always wanted to see in a Hawks jersey. He's a great rebounder and can really score from beyond the arc. Send Jamal to the Neys straight up for Murphy so we can develop Craw Jr. Bibby - Teague - JJ JJ - Craw Jr. Marvin - Mo - Smoove Smoove - Horford - Murphy Horford - Murphy - Zaza

I would try Teague+Jamal for Jack+Barbosa. It works. Bibby and Barbosa in the second unit could stretch the floor, making life easier for Zaza and Powell inside.

6-3, ok. Should be 8-1. The last two losses are on LD. That was some awful coaching last night. If he doesn't figure out a way of NOT PLAYING four scrubs (JT0, Powell, Zaza plus an uninterested Ja.Crawford) at the same time, we're screwed. He just squandered 10+ point early leads and turned them to double-digit losses. Oh, wait, that was yesterday only. I refuse to believe MW plays such a big role in this team (yeah, I know, he's arguably one of our best defenders) that we lost those games just because he and Mo were out. Those are on LD. WTF is he doing starting Twin over Zaza? Zaza has had some nice games to begin the season, why not start him? It's not like Zaza would turn the 2nd unit on. Playing among those guys will led him to nights like last night. START ZAZA LD! Don't eff up, man! LET'S GO HAWKS!

I really like the offensive plays. People have to make those open jumpers. Horford and Smoove stinking on offense, And D still sucks :/

Eventually the Js will fall and we'll be fine. Or simply GO TO THE HOLE, that $h!t works.

Bibby should be our 3rd string SG, nothing more. Give the PG reigns to JJJ (not a typo, not Joe Johnson, JAMAL-JEFF-JORDAN) and let them young ones develop their game. They're our future. Smoove + Craw for Paul and Okafor is a pipedream, true. I don't think that can happen. I would deal Smoove for SnT Scola + Budinger.

Well I'm a Hawks fan for life, so I'll support them no matter what. But I really wish Sund would find a way to move Smoove for a decent C. Hell, I would do it for Scola and some spare Houston pieces. Don't know the Rockets would do it tho. Marc Gasol maybe?
