  1. I guess the answer to this question is ..”is trae young and a top 3 this year worth forking over the farm “ I don't know the prospects for next year , I don't know what lottery slot our team will get next year, or how strong is the projected draft next year. Therfore if had to pick one I would go with Young 11. 7 BPM with a 28.3 Per on a shitty Oklahoma team
  2. Do any of the teams want or need Dennis or Baze along with our two picks this year with a top 3 protected pick next year and we take back bad contracts...sounds severe but Young stats and highlights look like he may be the stud of the draft. Young JJJ/ Bagely/Bamba Collins Prince sign Noel as FA if Bagley or Bamba is not how we go.
  3. To pick either Bagely, JJJ, Bamba with third pick ..come up with a trade package to get back in the draft with Memphis, Dallas, Orlando or Chicago and get Trae Young? What assests do we have to entice the other teams to get a realistic trade done or is it just a pipe dream. Really looking at the above teams needs to see if they have reason to take our later picks , current players and send back bad contracts to us. Toughts?
  4. We had the talent that last Bk early Sund years but we had bad coaching. Imagine Josh Smith, Joe Johnson, Al Horford, Jeff Teague , Zaza and Jamal Crawford with Bud as the head coach.
  5. Didn't Wilcox work for the Cavs? Me think he was behind the Luol Deng "internal" memo
  6. Does he call out Dadi after Dennis scores? If so what does that even mean ?
  7. Surprising that Bud threw Ferry under the bus as well. If Ferry would have had Buds support he would still be here. Especially since Bud looked like a genius with the Hawks play.
  8. Objectively SAP has higher WAR and better real plus minus numbers Advanced Metrics on Aldridge suggest hyping up a solid all star to a superstar If you go strictly by metrics, Aldridge's reputation outstrips his actual production and impact. That's a mild criticism, though, as he's a bona fide All-Star no matter how you measure performance. The disconnect is this: Some view Aldridge as a true centerpiece player, meaning he can be the best player on a title contender. From a statistical standpoint, that's just not the case. His three-year WARP ratings have ranked in the 92nd to the 94th percentile for the past five years. Again, that's All-Star stuff, but the highest he has ever finished in a single season is 15th. Last season was his second-best ranking, and he was at No. 31. The ding on Aldridge's dossier is that metrics love efficiency, and his has been so-so in that regard, which marks him as a volume scorer. The past two years, he has used about 30 percent of Portland possessions when he's on the floor. His true shooting percentages have been below league average in each of the past three seasons. Still, Aldridge has arguably become a better shooter every season of his career. In 2014-15, he not only introduced occasional 3s to his arsenal more than before, but he also shot a career-best 84.5 percent from the foul line. It's the development of the skill part of his game that is so intriguing. While his passing skills (i.e., assist rate) aren't great, his turnover rates are almost absurdly low. The bottom line is that Aldridge's ability to operate from a variety of scoring spots and to get shots up without turning the ball over is a combination of skills that you can build an offense around. That's why his offensive RPMs have been plus-1.5 or better for five straight years. Last year, it was plus-3.76. His defense is below average, and his rim protection is worse than that, but it's difficult to find offense-oriented big men this accomplished. -- Bradford Doolittle
  9. When is Tabo expected back? Plus there were some rumors regarding about FO concerns that he may not fully recover
  10. Willthepureshooter are u Michael Gearon?
  11. I posted in the wrong topic. But regardless look at the numbers WARS and RPM ... Millsap seems more valuable then Horf.
  12. You are underselling Millsap . Sap is a top 3 PF the NBA based on a 4.97 RPM. and a 10+ WARS. In fact he is a top 20 NBA player. Pls don't judge his playoff performance this year on a bum shoulder. Remember him this season and last years playoffs . He was a beast . I would rather trade Horf then lose Sap. Sap is just a better player.

  14. you could also back load the contracts so that the players pay day would come when the cap explodes next year
  15. Horf could play sixth man. wonder if he would do it? But this group would increase our RPM by 7.66 ! And that is not including contributions from Dekker and Tavares. Cap Space is an issue. It seems like we would just have enough to sign Millsap and DMC and no where enough to sign Monroe plus Green .
  16. Teague, Schröder, Mack Danny Green, KK, bazemore DMC, Sam Dekker, thabo Horf, Millsap, Muscula Monroe, Tavares, Pero Not sure how Millsap /Horf will fit if we have a true center Green I think would be a great fit , shooter/ defender just like KK ..we would have super depth Will this be enough length to increase our rebounding ?
  17. Bigger than I thougt from Espn Meanwhile in the East, the Atlanta Hawks are having to come to grips with the shocking Sefolosha news. The circumstances of his injury make the loss more stinging, but Sefolosha's impact on the floor will be missed, despite his absence for 25 games this season. Although his three-point percentage didn't return to his career-high levels from two years ago in Oklahoma City, Sefolosha was not a huge drag to the Hawks' offense, with the team performing only about a point per 100 possessions worse when he was on the floor. At the same time, his defensive impact was tremendous, as Atlanta allowed about 95 points per 100 possessions with him. All told, Sefolosha had the second highest net rating of any player on the roster (behind Kyle Korver), with the Hawks outscoring opponents by more than 10 points per 100 possessions when he was on the floor. While Atlanta did not fall apart in his absence (going 15-10), it only outscored opponents by less than two points per 100 possessions during that time (versus about seven with him in the lineup). Sefolosha provided Atlanta with another ball handler who could act as a release valve (he ran 58 pick-and-roll possessions, including passes, leading to 0.931 points per possession, according to Synergy), and that's going to be sorely missed in the playoffs, when a lot of initial actions will be game-planned against. Making matters more difficult, he was clearly the most experienced veteran presence on a relatively young bench with fewer than 400 minutes of playoff time logged among the rotation of Mike Scott, Dennis Schröder, Pero Antić and Kent Bazemore.
