From the recent news of Teague's departure I'm getting an unsettling feeling regarding tonight's draft and our choice. This isn't a strong draft by any means and the talent will drop off tremendously after the 6th pick. If Teague's deal was contingent on us moving up to the first 4 selections, then this was a terrible calculation on Bud and Wes. I don't see how any of the big men in the draft help us immediately. And the wing we could've gotten at #21 (Taurean Prince) would've been the answer to a big need. Prepare yourself as, "Winters coming to Phillips Arena." We need a real GM pronto. But hey, what are your thoughts? Do we make a jaw-dropping deal and head into free agency stronger, or do we nose dive into the 8th or 9th seed after Horford walks?

Might be the dumbest trade of the off-season! You literally put the team in the hands of a inconsistent kid and give the Pacers a point guard that will more than likely propel them to the top 3 seeds in the conference. This is what you all asked for and it will blow up in your faces. Silly trade. I'd rather resign Teague and let Horford walk. I can see Bud getting fired next year.

With Whiz, Jeff! Ask for One With Whiz!

Its all about continuity. Teague loves his situation in Atlanta and I'm sure he won't moan and groan for more dollars. He definitely seems the type to prefer winning than getting a big payday. Jeff will turn 28 years old this Friday which is a good age for young/vet point guard. I can see him being resigned to a $13.4m - $14m contract over 4 years, which is a bargain. That would put him around a salary range of Ricky Rubio and Eric Bledsoe. Schröder isn't consistent enough for Bud to put his plan of continuity on the line. And who would really want to face Jeff Teague leading a young 76ers team in the East??!! Y'all are smoking crack! -

Jeff Schultz is the king of pessimism. I just don't understand why he lives in Georgia.

I can't roll with you on this one bro.

Here's the stats compiled for our Hawks in the 4th quarter or overtime, 1:00 or less left in quarter, sorted by descending Field Goals.

Last time I checked, those two were grown men. The coach seemed to be fine with it so what's the problem? These players have certain sleep cycles based off game schedule and body readiness.

Good luck! Thabo was a great example of a slow shooter in Buds system. He was getting has shot blocked in the corners like there was no tomorrow. Patterson doesn't have a shot as of yet. I remember him shooting 20% from 3pt land in the D-League.
-
He has a slow shot that could get him in trouble against quicker defenders with length. He won't have that much time to gather and set his feet in the NBA.
-
Really??? They should've included something like, "the only center in the NBA getting out-rebounded by guards." Very fitting.

Is Ressler Serious about Building a Contender?

Be careful, the Jeff Teague hate club is lurking around the board ready to pounce. lol -
So, the numbers guy is telling us to ignore the numbers? Lol! Anyone with common sense would see the difference in playoff games played. I guess you had to wait until Lowry had a high scoring playoff game to try to make your argument somewhat valid. Including "nick-picking" the stats to fit your agenda. I'm talking about career playoff performance. I guess you had to "decompress" as well. Haha!
-
There's a lot of contradictory here, but I forgive you.

I can't believe we're having this debate. How can anyone believe Kyle Lowry's better than Teague in the playoffs. Please take a look at the Per 36 statistics for each player in the playoffs and tell me what part makes Lowry better. The guy is nothing but a chucker that doesn't play defense and tucks his tail against other premium guards. When was the last time Teague walked off the court during any game let alone the playoffs to "decompress?" Man, I get a slight giggle everyday from some of the Squawks eggsperts. Please stop spreading the foolery.

Lebron is the biggest douche bag when it comes to respecting coaches. He's literally disrespected every coach he's had since his induction into the NBA. Look at what he tried to do to Tyrone Lue at the beginning of his reigns. He was blatantly trying to show him up on the sidelines. The video of him walking on the sidelines beside him made my blood boil.

Updated Prospect Rankings After NBA Combine

Yeah, I have feeling this draft will be a very odd one with a bunch of reaches early in the 1st round. The international prospects are horrible this year. -
Updated Prospect Rankings After NBA Combine

I was reading through NBA.com's post Combine player rankings and another fact regarding Taurean Prince caught my eye. I didn't know he was a point guard in high school. This changes everything and makes him a very intriguing prospect. He gives the concept of "going big" a whole different dimension. Imagine a lineup of Teague, Taurean, Thabo, Sap, and Horford. With Taurean bringing the ball up, which takes a help defender out of the box. That's a lot of room for our slashers to make plays on the inside. He would give us the look Sacramento had with Tyreke Evans and the San Antonio has with Boris. I like this kid a lot! Imagine his development under Bud.
-
I really like Taurean Prince. This kid reminds me of a more fluid Draymond Green. His shot is pure, and quick on the release. His frame is very impressive.

Teague has been going left since the Joe days. Where are you getting your information from Jay?

People are weird. He's saying goodbye to the season. Have you all forgot he spends his off-season with his family in Indiana?
