Houston hasn't been a success unless you are basing success solely on having big name players, which some posters here seem to do. Same goes for regular season record. Who cares? It's about what you do in the playoffs.

I'm glad someone already pointed it out, but I'm so sick of hearing about Houston and their gm. That team is going nowhere fast, yet they get so much respect.

Bebe was the 16th pick in a weak draft. 16 is a toss up anyways. Go back and look at draft history, it's not like guys picked around there tend to pan out with any sort of regularity.

I agree that on paper, a lot of those teams should be better than us, but I'd be surprised if it all worked out that way. We have a great coach, added some really nice depth and I'd be shocked if more than 2 of those teams finished higher than us and I don't think any of them would be clear favorites over us in a 7 game series, especially after how we played Indy a few months ago. Maybe it's from years of being a Hawks fan, but I can't ever buy into a playoff team counting on a rookie to make an immediate impact. I just look back to Marvin's pre-draft scouting report, his flawless jumpshot, his athleticism. Then again, maybe I'm just a homer with too much faith in Bud and this band of castoffs. I like a good underdog story.

Everyone wants Stephenson but Indy is now better with cj miles?? Charlotte looks.. OK? Nothing has drastically change. First round exit team, if that. Brooklyn lost Pierce, their best clutch scorer who carried them in their playoff wins. Chicago is far from a sure thing. I think we're better than all of those teams. Most of those teams are big question marks. I think we're a top 3 seed. I also think we're going to have an underrated 2nd unit.

I think there's a chance Pau could be looking for more than just the highest bidder. I also doubt he wants to go to any team with a superstar after how sour things seemed to turn with Kobe. Maybe he wants to play some team ball and buy into a system. If so, come on down!

Unselfish? His teammates accused him of stealing rebounds to pad his own stats and he is a bit of a grad case. Let's not act like it's all sunshine and roses. There are plenty of valid reasons to stay away

I agree, but he's their hometown kid who was always expected to bring them a championship. That's where he should have been all along.
