  1. You guys know that lebron is probably the most disliked basketball player in the world, right? Sure, he has the most fans as well, but a lot of people truly do not like him at all. At one point, he was the single most hated athlete in any sport. Don't be so shocked that some don't want him on our team. It is not so far fetched. Not everyone wants to rent a title from a player we have no attachment to. I understand and respect the way you guys feel, but maybe take it easy on those of us who would rather continue to watch this team build a contender. They say hard work itself is the reward. We aren't just handed things in life. I just wouldn't feel that much joy winning a championship with lebron and melo. Maybe we'll struggle and compete for the next few years, decades, etc.. But when we win, it'll be that much sweeter.
  2. Totally agree here and I've been accused of not being a hawks fan for that opinion. Rent a championship just doesn't excite me
  3. I guess I'm not a Hawks fan because I dislike Lebron James. I think we just entered crazy town. Enjoy this! http://notsportscenter.com/top-10-funniest-lebron-flops-as-a-heat-player/
  4. Please god no. I could not stomach my least favorite sports star of all time playing for my team
  5. I hope we never sign him. I'd have to find a new team to be a fan of. I know we'd be instant contenders, but I just can't stand his style of basketball. We'd probably want to hang on to Pero though as he's the only current Hawk that could carry Lebron off the court single handedly.
  6. Wow. Lance became a clown during this series. No way ferry would go after this guy. Lets stay far far away from this guy.
  7. There are a handful of guys on that list that are starters or atleast playing big minutes for really good teams. Bad idea to use Nic Batum, Thabo, and Ibaka as reasons why foreigners don't do well in the NBA. Almost like the list was compiled to prove the opposite point.
  8. #1 I agree if he is healthy. IF HE IS HEALTHY, which nobody is sure of. #2 There is a chance he could be a game changer offensively, but kobe is/was an elite defender. Parker, by all accounts, is an awful defender. Could this change? Sure, but we have no reason to believe it will for sure. #3 Sounds great, except that Exum says he is a pg, not an offguard. So... #4 I have no real opinion on Randle yet and haven't seen enough of him. #5 The list of players who would be game changers if they could shoot like Mark Price would be gigantic. He doesn't shoot like that now, so I guess we'll see. Imagine if Rondo could shoot like Mark Price or if Bismack Biyombo could shoot like Mark Price.
  9. And all of the Americans in the league are living up to their hype, right? A more accurate comment would be "Most players don't live up to their hype."
  10. Would you have said the lakers drafted poorly the year after they got kobe and he rode the bench most of his first season?
  11. Just throwing this out there, but Denver had a better record 2 years after trading Melo than they ever did with him.
  12. That's not necessarily the best endorsement and sadly 38 year old Duncan has been playing a lot more minutes over the last 3 years than Prime Horford. I may be the only one on here that is worried about Al being injury prone. Averaging about 1300 minutes a season over the last few years. I'm a huge fan of Al and would love to see him back to his prime self, but I can't say with 100% certainty that we are going to get prime Al back and healthy for a full season right now.
  13. Here's a great article from grantland today on the draft and opinions are definitely different than they were a few months ago. I mentioned a few months ago that scouts were cooling on this draft class and I caught some crap for it. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/ryen-russillos-nba-draft-confidential-real-scouts-on-wiggins-randle-embiid-and-parker/ A couple of quotes and remember that these are coming from 3 different scouts with differing opinions as well as Ryen Russillo. I just included a couple quotes on Wiggins since his stock has probably dropped the most. Everyone seems high on Embiid if he is healthy, but that is a big IF. Even Parker and Randle have a lot more holes in their game than most people thought. Anyways, interesting read. On Wiggins:
  14. Even if it's not true, just having people say positive stuff like that changes the perception of out team. Good stuff.
  15. Score on every play while limiting the opposing team to less than points than our total.
  16. Both of whom will probably be out in the first round, both with a stronger supporting cast and at least one other star.
  17. I believe it says immediate vicinity, which I don't think is meant to include the court. That is always how it's been enforced. I'm fine with him not being suspended and I don't think he will be. But I'd atleast like to see them be honest about it and say something like "he's a superstar so we're making an exception this time".
  18. What was our biggest lead near the end? 5 points? 7 points? It's not like we blew a 20 point lead or something, we just lost. There such a rush to jump to these drastic conclusions after a heart breaker like that.
  19. I don't get what your point is. The #1 seed goes to the team that win the most games every single year. That team receives the honor of being the true #1 seed. There is nothing to argue. There is no room for interpretation.
  20. So now we have true #1 seeds? Man, anything to complain I guess.
  21. That silly turnover when we were up 5 near the end was killer.
  22. Hell yes. This is fantastic news.
