  1. Annnnnnnnndd..... on cue.... Crabbe and Nets have an offer sheet agreement..... hehe.... that's just how this FA season's going.... I should be quiet now.
  2. Yes, there's really no reason to make a move until you have to or until you have a deal you like. His guarantee date is Sunday as I understand it. Also... to be totally precise...
  3. IIRC, Ashley actually made the Mavs' 15-man to start the season. =========== EDIT: Strike that.... he almost made that 15-man. Cut right before.
  4. I hesitate to post this because even knocking on wood, when I do it, only seems to hasten disappointment.... but it's no secret around here that I've had a mancrush on Allen Crabbe for a couple of weeks. I have no clue how it could possibly get done, and there's an argument that says with Baze in the fold, we have a lot less motive to pursue him.... but as I've said a couple of times now.... this guy's trajectory from season 1 to 2, and then from 2 to 3 is indicative of some pretty significant things. At first it was rumored that the Nets were offering him, and that probably is still just a matter of when, not if.
  5. I'm going to be interested to watch our old friend Brandon Ashley. I'm really happy he's back. He seemed to gain a 3 pt shot in front of our eyes last SL.
  6. Kicked the tires on Jones many moons ago myself, but in light of how many opportunities to start that HOU gave him, and that he never could hold down the job, in hindsight I was glad I wasn't the GM. I feel like he truly could be a left-handed version of Al Harrington except he's just too heavy. Coming out of high school he was Harrington-sized, but ballooned while at UK by about 30 lbs. That's a LOT of beer. Or pizza. Or something. I wouldn't be upset to see us give him a shot, but I'd be investing faith that Budcox had done their homework and concluded he's ready to turn the page and fulfill his potential.
  7. Fwiw, Scott's defense was much improved this season. And at $3.3m, you're just not going to find a much better value this season. I wish there was some way around the problem, but one that doesn't make a mockery of the rule of law and the rule of the CBA.
  8. My sense.... nay my hope... is that it's planned that far out b/c it's anticipated that there likely is to be at least one more major acquisition between now and then.
  9. So Delaney is going to Vegas, but not to play. Darn.
  10. I understand that the Nets are planning to do doubleheaders at Barclays with their new team. Makes a lot of sense to me.
  11. YAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
  12. Wonder if he's ever posted here over the years, then.... c'mon Malcolm, out with it... what's your username?!?
  13. Didn't read the thread, but in response to the original tweet, it begs credulity why Al even took as long as he did to decide, then.
  14. So you mean we still have Jeff and Al for a few more hours?
  15. Ahh, but Delaney can play 2, or so they say.
  16. As I recall, they hired someone a year or so ago to take the lead with it.
  17. It's a given that there's going to be a new SE division, since ORL and CHA both have announced some of their intentions. Sure would be nice to have another option available to us in signing up uncommitted Summer League stars.
  18. Edy and Lamar playing a 3rd year... I believe that would be a voluntary thing on their part, no? http://www.peachtreehoops.com/2016/7/6/12096460/atlanta-hawks-las-vegas-summer-league-roster-2016-taurean-prince-deandre-bembry
  19. I should have clarified... it's not so much that it's Boris that's dirt cheap... it's the $7m cap space.
  20. A little surprised. That's dirt cheap.
  21. No interest here... for essentially the same reason I wouldn't ever deal for James Harden. So, answering the OP question... No, I will not allow it.
  22. I don't have a problem with it, myself, but just would like to know why it took 3 days to peck it out and post it. Unlike others, I don't hate Al for doing what he ultimately felt was best, but it kinda demands some explanation as to why he couldn't be bothered to say something conciliatory long before now. C'mon Al.
