  1. If Jeff doesn't want to be here F him. I want guys that want to play for this team. if he wants to cry because his ego isn't getting stroked. I'll be looking for Teague in the Hall of Fame. Piss off. Next, move on. We can find someone that is just as adequate.
  2. It wouldn't be the last move we make before the start of the season, let the off season play out we will get all positions filled. The deal probably won't happen anyways.
  3. They would probably make it a protected 1st, but I would be down with that trade.
  4. You might be right with LA, maybe for Gasol. I could see DF getting him since he fits the system and is on the last year of his contract.
  5. That term has already been used here in Orlando when they had Armstrong and Outlaw
  6. Wow talk about an overreaction, I guess people need to vent sometimes.
  7. Don't know why you ever came back to this site? If you aren't a fan of the Hawks through thick and thin then you aren't fan. But if they do something you like I'm sure you will be back. Flip flop are you sure you aren't Dwight?
  8. Can we change it from the treadmill to a stair climber
  9. I'll agree with you on sitting back to see how it plays out. However there seems to be two extremes on this site - Tank or sign whoever is left. Personally I don't think you need to go to either extreme. There is way in the middle that will accomplish the goal of being a championship contender. Like you said lets see how DF keeps moving forward and go by the moves he makes. Because right now tanking or signing everyone is pure speculation on both ends.
  10. Read the other post. I never said sign those guys. Keep cap flexibility, make smart trades/signings, and acquire draft picks. This can be done with tanking. No panic what so ever and I'm very understanding the position this team is in.
  11. I don't think anyone is saying to sign guys just for the sake of signing them. DF needs to make the right moves. Getting Asik is a good fit. Lin isn't. Signing Ellis isn't but other reasonable free agents yes. Keep cap flexibility, accumulate picks, make wise trades and signings. He can do this without tanking, some don't see that though
  12. I say we lose all the games hope we get the #1 pick, have him on injured reserve all year so we can lose all games, repeat process for the next 4 years to get a starting 5. Then hope all are hall of famers since they were picked in the lottery and the #1 pick. You know since everyone drafted in the lottery pans out. You know guys like Marvin Williams, Josh Childress, Sheldon Williams, etc. Tanking is awesome.
  13. So everyone in the top 6 picks of this draft from what I hear for all the pro tankers is going to be a hall of famer like Duncan? You guys should run an NBA team if you know all these guys are can't miss. There are other ways to build franchise then just tanking. Just because we get a top 6 pick doesn't mean we are going to get FA's to come here. There is more ways to skin a cat. People think there is only one way. There isn't tanking in some cities they reload. You can get to be a good team through trades and free agency. As long as you get the right assets that fit your team needs going forward. We tried tanking before where did that get us to where we are now. No thanks keep cap space and tradeable assets. But to continuing to lose to find the golden ticket, good luck. I have seen that before and its been the Hawks team I've seen the last few years.
  14. It started with Robinson they were horrible and ended up with him. The year they got Duncan, Robinson was injured the entire year so they got Duncan. Tell me how they got all of the other players in the draft? Besides Duncan who else on their roster was a lottery pick?
  15. The Spurs did build through the draft, but they didn't tank to build through the draft. However, most on this board feel the only way to build through the draft is to tank. The Spurs didn't do that.
  16. I don't mind Asik, but I would pass on Lin. If we too on Lin you better get more out of Houston like Parsons since we are taking these two off their hands. I do think Asik fits in well with the team we are trying to build. I would rather see what Teague would do with Bud before we cave into Lin.
  17. Guess we know why he flew there now, since it is being reported he is signing with Houston
  18. I guess he has a summer home in Aspen. I hear its nice this time of year.
  19. You are right according to most national media outlets, since they never include the Hawks. Funny.
  20. Honestly I wish you would cut to the chase and tells how you really feel about Al Jefferson the NBA player. Quit screwing around with us.
  21. To break it down even further for people to comprehend the signing of KK as an asset for the team. He could be an important piece to have for the team we are building at a reasonable contract. Or for the negative nancy's he could be an important piece at the trade deadline because his 6 million a year contract is not a hinderance to a team making a championship push. We will then be able to get an expiring contract, younger player, and or a draft pick. This is flexible anyway you look at the signing.
  22. I'm amazed at how many people think it will be hard to move a 6 million a year contract. For whatever reason that the Hawks want to move Korver a 6 million year contract will not be hard to move at the deadline. Everyone wants shooters, who cares if he is a one trick pony. The point being who cares if he only shoots 3's he is only making 6 million. People that are against thing this contract, thinking that it is a downfall for the Hawks, that they won't be able to sign anyone else, please give me a break they will be able to trade this guy in a second at the deadline and get what they want for him. People need to give it a rest.
