  1. Ferry has Silver behind him (not bad to have that support), so I expect Gearon will now try to come up with another scheme to get him fired. What a clusterf@$#@! Link below http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-basketball/24704617/adam-silver-on-danny-ferrys-comments-i-dont-think-its-a-terminable-offense
  2. Happy Birthday, GM! Enjoy yourself and have a blast today.
  3. Well we will agree to disagree on how good Cleveland is going to be next season. I don't think they will be higher than a 3 or 4 seed. I'm not saying he should have stayed in Miami but there are other teams that he could have gone to that were in better position than Cleveland. Bitch move with Kyrie they only won 33 games last year and supposedly Wiggins and LeBron make them NBA champs. I don't think so all 3 of those guys are ball dominant players lets see how it fits. Yes there is promise because they are young, but that doesn't mean its going to be easy to win. For what it is worth going back home isn't a bitch move. If he really turned his back on them I don't care how good you think Cleveland is going to be he wouldn't go back. As far as Miami goes who cares about their fan base they just go after mercenaries to win championships thus most of their fans are bandwagon and they get what they deserve for selling their soul to pay for the next big thing. Besides he doesn't owe them shit he took them to 4 straight finals and they won 2. They should be thankful because before that they were being eliminated in the first round.
  4. The essay (letter) that came from LeBron through sports illustrated was awesome. After the decision (2010) like most I wasn't a LeBron fan at all. As the first year past and for many he had turned into the biggest villain in NBA history. I found myself pulling for him more and more after the first year. I couldn't understand how the guy makes one mistake and he gets crucified for it constantly. The guy never gets in trouble off or on the court and only tries to make everyone around him better. What's not to like about him. After yesterdays announcement I like the guy that much more. You read that article it restores my faith in today's athlete. Granted he probably is in the minority, but its nice to see that the best player in NBA today wanting to correct a wrong. Going home knowing he might not win multiple titles but trying to win one. He could have gone to a bigger market or a ready to win team now, but chose not to take the easy way out. Yes Cleveland will be a good team, however I don't think they are lock by any means to win it all. Thanks LeBron for shrugging off the easy decision for the harder one. Some other NBA players could learn from this second decision of yours.
  5. Count me in as one who is in favor of carrying over the cap space to next year instead of signing questionable free agents. If we can make a trade that improves the team I'm for that scenario. But, the more I have thought about it I'm for saving the money.
  6. I love grilling brats as much as the Hoyas dominating the cuse!
  7. It sounds like Dolf has quite a little saturday planned, maybe bed bath and beyond or something

    Who's Next?

ECW was awesome as well or should I say EC "F'N" W
  9. Have a happy 4th and be safe, now I need to get the grill going for some dogs, burgers, and brats
  10. Well thanks for the shout out from a lowly cuse fan, Monroe was a slightly above average defender at Gtown. Now I haven't followed him closely at Detroit so I can not speak to his defense or lack there of as a Piston. His offense I thought was underrated. He is an excellent passer as a big man with a consistent midrange jumper. His low post game was solid. The thing I thought he was missing was explosiveness. I thought he didn't finish strong enough around the hoop, leading to more contested shots or blocks. He plays with an even keel, not showing a lot emotion. I'm not saying he doesn't care that just isn't his personality. I think he would be a good fit for us, but I have to think if we sign him someone is being traded. I just can't see a roster of Milsap, Horford, and Monroe. It would be an interesting front court if that were the case.
  11. I think I would take Lebron as our SF over the other guys mentioned. I'm just saying that's the guy I want. He would seem to fit our needs and style the best.
  12. This thread is starting to get real good. I'm going to get some popcorn.
  13. Cleveland seems to be unhappy with D. Waiters, I would like to some how include him in the deal I think he could blossom in the Atl.
  14. From what I read today, the Rockets intend to match all offers on Parsons. They are doing this to clear cap room to sign a 3rd max player. Once they get that player they will resign Parsons. They don't mind going into the luxury tax to keep him once they get that 3rd max player. Rockets are douche bags.
  15. Damn fanatic you beat me to it. I select Dylan as well for the simple fact that he spits hot fire.
  16. I agree Mule! Thank you for all that serve to keep the freedom we have.
  17. Happy Belated Mother's Day!
  18. So pumped up after this win. We all should be excited. The Antić/West incident was Zaza/Garnett all over again. This series is reminding me of the Indy vs Atl series when we had Manning and we were the higher seed but lost to Indy due to lack of chemistry after the trade. Indy is going through that right now. Hopefully we keep it up for game 2. Go Hawks.
  19. went with other because all those guys are not that great and monroe is a forward not center in my opinion
  20. I would love to hear what you think once you do, they do mostly talk about G'town and Syracuse
  21. I hear you and I really don't feel like doing the leg work on the research, but besides national titles would like to see overall records, head to head records in the tourny, final top 25 rankings, how many teams in the tournament in relation to teams in each conference, strength of each conference for each year, most final fours, etc. This starting from 79 to last year that would be good a gauge on which conference is better. The only reason the big east kept adding teams towards the end was to keep the football schools happy and to get more money coming into the conference.
  22. We get it you love the ACC, I love the Big East. Maybe the ACC is better but I don't care the title of the thread was Requiem of the Big East not the Requiem of the ACC. I wanted to discuss the doc from last night not the history of the ACC. I appreciate the ACC but I would much rather watch Big East basketball.
  23. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I liked the Big East the best. I always felt the ACC was top heavy and didn't have to go through the rigors of a Big East schedule. I'm not here to argue the ACC. I loved the Big East and still do, the way they played basketball is what I appreciated. Some don't like the physical style and like the ACC and that is fine we can discuss that when they do a 30 for 30 on the ACC. It's good they have strong football programs or they could be going the route of the Big East.
