  1. Let's not forget by giving more playing time to the bench guys, this gives them more in-game experience so they can be better prepared further on in the year as well as the playoffs.
  2. Mushroom tip surprise sponsored by your Wizards, The purple helmet march sponsored by your Wizards, boy we can go on for days with these promotions
  3. Good call I had to do a double take I thought his d*ck was popping out, what kind of promotion are the wizards running up there?
  4. Heard an interview the Chris Viv this weekend on NBA radio. He was asked if the Hawks could be bought and moved. He said absolutely not. The NBA values the city of Atlanta and doesn't want to lose a top 10 market. Plus there is the agreement with Phillips arena that would complicate things if the team leaves. Now I know Chris Viv doesn't always know what was going on, but he sounded very sure of himself when he said they wouldn't leave Atlanta. Take if for what it is worth.
  5. Watching the Clipper broadcast (due to league pass), both Lawler and Smith (Clipper announcers) were giving a lovefest to the Hawks all night. Basically saying they are the best team in the NBA right now at least Lawler said that but Smith said he might put the Warriors ahead of us. They were actually fun to listen to during the game.
  6. RIP Stu, remember when you were on WESH here in Orlando before ESPN
  7. That quote was the best I couldn't stop laughing when he said that about Love. Also, the quote where he just said "Wow" when Antić is trying a one hand runner was funny as well.
  8. That was me that called in and asked him about the Hawks. So Hawksquawk has heard my voice. I think Karl and I are tight now, lol.
  9. Merry Christmas to everyone and their families!!!!
  10. It's not reaching its a fact. They wanted more playing time for Dennis. The cash was there to go after free agents. They didn't use it because they couldn't or didn't want to get the free agents they were targeting. But the main goal was to get Dennis more playing time. Besides they did Lou a favor, do you think he would be happy riding the bench? The answer is no. He is likely the 6th man of the year and that is because of this trade. He is getting playing time and I'm sure he is happy that the trade happen now. As I think the Hawks are happy with the trade now because Dennis is getting playing time and getting better with each game.
  11. I think having superstar that can fit the system Bud runs is the important factor. i agree in slow pace games in the playoffs or close games in the 4th its nice to know you have a guy that can get to the line or score a tough bucket (Watching the Mavs and Clips game the last two nights that ball seemed to be sticking in the 4th while we struggled to score at times, where a scorer could help bail them out at these moments). But to get a superstar that doesn't fit would be disaster to the team and chemistry. Basically if we get a superstar we need a selfless superstar that would fit in with our group. If we don't have one thats fine as well, this team will surprise you and might overcome that as well. Even the Spurs at end of games they clear out for Manu/Parker or throw it down to Duncan. So they don't necessarily just fall into the system at the end of games.
  12. I just wanted to take the time to say it is finally refreshing to come to the site and not see as much negative posting on the board. As they say winning cures everything. LOL. I had to take a break awhile as the negativity wore me down. Even though I haven't been posting much lately, I'm constantly reading and giving out likes. I want to thank everyone for keeping the positivity going. By the way I can't stop looking at the current standings each day, its mesmerizing to me. This might be the best Hawks run I've seen since I've been a fan in 82. I don't about anyone else but I look forward to watching each game and that is all I think about each game day. You can also kill me because I went to the Orlando game, like I do everytime they come to town, so I probably jinxed us. But I'll be back next time they are in town. Go Hawks and Merry Christmas to all of us!
  13. To add to the L. Williams & Bebe trade, I think one of the main reasons he was traded was to get Schröder more playing time. Williams playing was cutting into his development. I believe this is the main reason this trade happen.
  14. Nice post! I would like to add a big that is good at rebounding and defense. Chandler would be awesome, but he isn't going anywhere. Really don't know who is available or could pick up. I guess we will see as we get closer to the trade deadline to see what presents itself.
  15. Don't hurt yourself patting yourself on the back, bud.
  16. Coach Bud is assuming Ferry's role until this all gets resolved.
  17. I think Gearon's first move when he gets control again will be to trade for J. Smoove. Detroit praises him for taking him off their hands. Followed by getting JJ back from the Nets while giving them their pick back. Nets roll out the red carpet for the pick. Because we know Gearon loves our core.
  18. To me Gearon is POS. He is a snitch. Because all his power was taken away, he pouts and cries. Not to mention when he was making moves the team was going in the wrong direction and he needed to be replaced. Now he does something to get his revenge which sabotages the entire organization. The only thing that would come out of this is if the entire ASG is gone with a brand new owner to replace these buffoons. In the end I hope this blows up in his face by Gearon losing all contact with the team. Lord knows if he stays with the team and starts making moves for this roster it will set us back another 10 years. It's just sad that this one man is going to bring down the entire organization because he was replaced for not doing a good job. Now we may have him back to continue the bad decision making that he has made in the past. So you may thing Gearon is a master chess player who deserves credit for getting these guys fired, but I think he is B*&((* who takes the backstabbing way out. Last time I played chess I don't recall the guy I was playing against doing things behind my back to win the game. He doesn't have any integrity for going behind people's backs to purposely hurt them and the organization. F you Gearon! As far as the racial comments, let me ask you this, how come its different when someone says "you dance like a white guy" or "this white guy can't guard me" or as I just heard what if someone said "he's got a little european in him" - does that make that person racist? It's basically that something Ferry said on the call. Deng is from Africa and Ferry says he has African in him. What if Billy Knight had made that comment, do you think he would have gotten heat from saying that? I'll leave it at that.
  19. Yes I would be willing to bet that Gearon's phone line was on mute during the call so no one could hear his remarks and laughter. As I have been thousands of conference and it is almost routine for callers to put themselves on mute during the call until they want to speak.
  20. It's kind of sad that today's society has become a mob mentality. If the mob is loud and big enough they usually get what they want, who cares about anything else. Lord forbid if you have an opposite view of the mob because you are going to get swallowed.
  21. Here's an interesting article from Whitlock. Just showing some other sides of the story. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/11493472/jason-whitlock-bruce-levenson-atlanta-hawks
  22. That could be a real possibility. And if that is the case does that change how people feel about Ferry, knowing he was reading from an NBA commission scouting report?
  23. From what I read the scouting report came from an NBA commission scout and that every NBA team has access to these scouting reports. So this might go deeper than just the Hawks.
