  1. Didn't see that but will look it up now on espn. So pumped up about the team.
  2. Dolfan it is worth watching. It was good, just saw it today. I'm so happy that every team passed on our boy. Marino my fav of all time. Matter of fact today I order most of his old games on dvd that a guy was selling. Can't wait to get them so I can watch Danny boy anytime I want. The best ever. Too bad we didn't have a running game or defense.
  3. like this offseason for the dolphins love them uni's
  4. Love our pick Dolfan! and only giving up the first second awesome! I'm excited to see what Ireland has planned next. What an offseason! As excited as I have been for an upcoming season. Hopefully the Hawks can have an offseason like the fins.
  5. Does anyone have a link to this story? Or is this someone's pipe dream.
  6. Happy Days are here again. Thank goodness. I'm so glad we don't have Woodson's long lost brother.
  7. Well one writer doesn't mean the entire NBA didn't want Melo. Have a hard time believing that. That suggestion is just hearsay. I don't believe Woodson is a good head coach. He is a good defensive assistant. Last night prime example Anthony scores 36 of the 85 points. Knicks played good D in the second half, but the Celtics went ice cold missing numerous wide open 3's and other open j's. That has nothing to do with Woodson's coaching. Look he wasn't getting it done in Atlanta and we are better off that he is gone. Good luck to him in NY. In my opinion he isn't a good coach. Average at best, but a better assistant.
  8. Is this about TT or Woody? I understand your point. But I never said TT was an upper echelon coach. Congrats to Woody on that playoff win today. Good Defense and Melo scores almost half the teams points (mentioned in a previous post of mine). Hopefully Melo can keep up the scoring barrage or they just might lose this series. Guess there is a big difference between JJ and Melo. Didn't know the league gave up on Melo? Interesting theory.
  9. Well Teague will get his chance to start proving it when the playoffs start. He will be a free agent so if he ever is going to play like a top 10 pg now will be the time. I'm excited to see if he rises to the challenge.
  10. Congrats Woody good regular season! If that is what you want to hear Diesel. I'm not wishing stuff up or you don't know basketball. He is horrible at adjustments and relies on an ISO offense. I will give him credit that he is very good with defensive execution, but it also helps when you have an excellent defender in Chandler to help out the guys that can't keep their guys in front of them. Woody is not an upper echelon coach.
  11. Well I just noticed this thread and since I guess you are calling out me with my previous comments. I don't care what Woody has done with the Knicks. In my opinion I don't think he was a good coach. If you watched any Atlanta Hawks games you would know this fact. He and Mike Brown are the worst coaches at making second half adjustments in games. Woody would routinely get out coached in second halves especially in playoffs. His offense or lack there of is miserable to watch. ISO plays can only take you so far. I wouldn't be surprised if Celtics beat them. To me they are an overrated team. Lucky for the them the East is not strong. If they do advance to play the Heat they will get smoked. If the Knicks advance in the playoffs it will be because Melo is hot on offense and Chandler is awesome on the defensive end. That has nothing to do with Woody as the coach.
  12. Addition of superstar should be an option in question 1. Seldom do teams win championships without a superstar player. Since none of our so called baby 3 is a superstar all those options aren't going to get us to be contenders.
  13. When you see the same things time and time again from LD and especially Josh (9yrs) I wouldn't necessarily call that knee jerk. JMO
  14. DF if you are going to replace Drew please for the love of God just say no to Mike Brown! That move would set the franchise back for years to come.
  15. You know I had to get in. At least JT III didn't come out and say they can close the carrier dome down now, like Pops did. I hate to see the rivalry end though. We will play the last game of the year and probably in the Big East Tourny. Now we need to figure out a way to get Porter to the Hawks, most under rated player in college.
  16. we fit him in under the cap thanks to the murrow trade let me edit myself "we may have ...."
  17. well me have another winner in next year's dunk contest
  18. Don't take this the wrong way, but that is a d*ck move. I personally didn't care if Smoove got traded or not, but that is being a jerk. I know you probably are just having fun. Listen I hate his jump shots just as much as you, however that is a low blow. By all means though feel free to do it, just don't expect a warm reception. I might be wrong though.
  19. Well I'm glad somebody knows about him and I hope he is right, unless he is being sarcastic.
  20. I see what you did there, some fans are so clever, haha. I forgot next season we will go into it with only 3 guys on the roster. Damn thought we were going to have more players. Guess those three guys will be able to pad their stats. Doom and gloom. Lets see how the off season goes first before we judge them today. Seems kind of silly to see what the team is going to look like at the beginning of next year when we are so far away. But, I appreciate you letting me know what Ferry's plan is. It actually might be making some sort of NBA history playing with 3 players all year. I'm pretty sure that would be history.
  21. Ferry's first year on the job and everyone knows the outcome of the off season. LOL. Let's see how it plays out. Today everybody wants instant gratification. Please. That's the problem with today's society. All I hear from the negative posters is we won't sign this guy or overpay for that guy or should have got another protected lottery pick in a crap draft. I don't think Ferry is dumb. Lets give him the benefit of the doubt and at least see what happens this year and the following year. Geez that at least gives him two years. I think that is reasonable. He has had to clean up the mess from previous regimes, along with a different style of ownership (now that they are giving him the reigns and staying out of his business). Clear cap room since the team was stuck at being a 1st or 2nd round playoff out. Get extra draft picks to get more affordable players with possible upside. I think he is off to a good start. Now people want him to go into the luxury tax for S@!# trades, gimme a break. I love how everyone accepts the fact that no free agents want to come here because it hasn't happen in the past. I think Deke came here he was significant. So it hasn't happen recently so it will never happen. Great logic. That's like saying in college sports that this team hasn't beaten this team on the road for 20 years. Who cares roster's change, what happen 10 to 20 years ago doesn't matter today. I'm sure Ferry has something planned. I'm sure he knows it has been hard in recent years to get guys here, so I'm sure he is combatting that idea. He may get the guys you want he may not. But I do like the environment he is creating. Owners have given him more freedom and he is planning his work and working his plan. He is changing the culture, you can't do that overnight. You may be pissed about today. However, I like to look at it as a step in the process. A process that is going in the right direction. Sorry we can't sign 5 all stars tomorrow or get meaningless players that take away our flexibility in a trade or other signings. I'm sure that is what some would want. We are trying to build a team and one that contends for titles.
  22. No one says we have to use all our cap space this season. I think everyone is thinking this off season is the be all end all. It's not.
  23. No one says we have to spend all the cap space this off season. Maybe piece this off season, then a trade during next year's season, and a free agent or two the following off season. That is what cap flexibility gives us.
  24. Who cares if he plays nice. If he walks we keep the flexibility of the cap space. If we don't get a sign and trade we like let him walk again.
  25. Didn't know a protected lottery pick is special? We already have two of those this year in a crap draft. The other players are bench players that are average at best. Rather let him walk and keep the cap space.
