  1. I don't care, to each his own. I was just saying Dolfan was valid in his statements. Personally Dwight can be like Wilt be with over 10,000 served and more power to him. He isn't married and even if he was its not my business. Like I said I don't care what he does.
  2. I will also add that he isn't married so let him have fun. I just wouldn't be having any kids. Get the jimmy protector Dwight. Save you some time and hassel down the road.
  3. On Dolfan's behalf (not that he needs it) It is known and been reported (not rumors) here in Orlando that Howard doesn't pass up any type of P*(&y (read between the letters) when he gets a chance. He has been seen with numerous women at various times. Apparently it is his one vice or should I say kryptonite. Regardless hope he comes to the ATL for the long haul.
  4. I would vote for no one to be over 20ppg. Just think it will be a more balanced offense.
  5. Well we did draft S. Williams at 5 in the draft. He isn't a star?
  6. JJ's contract had to go, but I agree with you hate the fact that we trade him to place where it becomes a super team. I can't stress enough that we had to dump that contract. Exactly I pay twice as much for the entire year, it's after the all star break that it drops to 80
  7. If Smith does not want to be here and will not resign. Then you have to trade him. That's what just happen Orlando. You don't let a guy walk away without getting something.
  8. Shocking to me that Orlando would give in to Dwight's demands. As well as Gilbert allowing another super team since he cried when Lebron left to form one in Miami. I guess you can never believe what people say or what they do for that matter. Time for the Hawks to move on. Hopefully it won't take forever to be taken as a serious threat in the NBA.

    Randy Foye?

That's funny I guess we are Hawks fans. Maybe I'm not sure of the criteria to be a hawks fan. I hope I passed.

    Randy Foye?

I love the I'm more of fan than you argument. To be honest don't know if I ever posted on the AJC forum. Was on the EZ board were you? Who cares anyways. I have followed the Hawks since they were on TBS for every game like the Braves so around 84 I became a fan. So yes I remember those names too. Do you remember Roundfield, Hastings, Rollins and so on. Does that make me more of fan than you? Once again who cares. I see you don't like the moves Ferry has made. You are entitled to your opinion but lets see how the season plays out before you claim there is no hope for this franchise.

    Randy Foye?

I guess we should quit watching Hawks Basketball with the above statement, now that I know the Hawks are going to suck. Thanks for the inside info.
  12. Okay thanks for clearing that up. So under the new CBA that was agreed to last year teams can't sign and trade free agents because there is no difference in years or money weather they resign with their own team or sign with another team, Correct? Just trying to know the exact rule. Thanks.
  13. Well they maybe getting Bynum or Horford or Lopez and others. So I would say it is working for Orlando because they are getting nothing. Also, so we don't get Howard after next year we won't have Smith so we are left with just Horford and cap space. Basically the same if Howard walks from us we will get a piece or two to build around and cap space. If you want to make an argument that its a pain in the ass to deal with his situation I completely agree. At least Orlando is going to get something worth value and possibly clear cap space as well. So Orlando isn't going away empty handed.
  14. I'll add this if we do get Howard in a trade and lets say he doesn't want to resign with us at the end of the season. We can then do a sign and trade with another team to at least get something for the guy. Howard is not dumb enough to walk away from the 5th year for an extra 20 million. At least that is better than getting nothing. I think this is why Houston is willing to trade with them, knowing if he walks they will get something in a sign and trade.
  15. I can agree with that, with maybe Marvin being slightly above average.
  16. Still for where Sheldon, Marvin, and Childress were drafted which were all in the top 6 in my opinion were worst. For the simple fact that when you pick that high you expect and impact player. At 11 I'm not really expecting a star if you get one its a bonus. Yes, I would expect more from Acie, but I sure as hell expected a lot more from the three above. That is why I consider them more of a bust than Acie. All in all they all are scrubs. Maybe Marvin is above a scrub, like average or slightly above average.
  17. I don't think Acie was the worst pick. Wasn't he drafted in the late teens? If so I wasn't expected a lot from him anyways. I think we had plenty of other draft pick busts that were worse than Acie. Especially in relation to where they were drafted. For example S. Williams at #5 or M. Williams at #2. I could go on as everyone knows we haven't been stellar in draft selections.
  18. Could you amnesty a traded player after he has been with the team for the year? If that is the case Amnesty him next year and get the cap room then.
  19. If we redirect assets from that trade wouldn't it be a 3 way trade with the Nets then? So why would the Nets help us get Howard if this is the case.
  20. Actually according to this AJC article just posted we are looking at OJ Mayo among others.http://blogs.ajc.com/hawks/2012/07/06/atlanta-hawks-wings-are-the-thing/?cxntfid=blogs_hawks
  21. And Joker will respond in 3...2...1...
  22. Now that was information overload. Thanks
  23. Jeff Green already has a deal in place with the Celtics.
  24. I got it give to you, I thought Hots was the most negative poster on this site but you have him by a landslide. It seems like over the past few weeks everything that comes from your posting is absolutely negative. You must be a barrel of joy to be around. You must have everyone laughing around you with you being so upbeat. Seriously what a killjoy.Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however I never have seen someone so negative. Its been awhile since Hawk fans have had some optimism. You may be right the Hawks may not get Howard or Paul or both, but geez let the fans feel good until all the bad stuff actually takes place. If it actually does. There is no basis for your negativity yet.So like I mentioned before no one knows how it is going to work out. What you are claiming is pure speculation even though you are adamant that it won't be happening. Like your some soothsayer. So if we don't get Howard and Paul should we bow down to you? Finally this organization is making the right moves - getting Ferry, getting rid of bad contracts, drawing interests in the media - and all you want to do is be doom and gloom. Here is some friendly advise look at the positives in life (glass half full not half empty) you'll live a lot longer. You don't have to because the way you post you would rather be miserable. However I will be the first to congratulate you if we don't get Howard, Paul, or any other significant players to fill out our roster by the end of next off season. In that case you will be right the Hawks will probably be horrible and we all can be miserable with you.
  25. Why don't we wait and see how it plays out at the end of the next off season? That is when we will have all the cap room. Until then everything is speculation on your part as well as people that take the other side of your argument. No sense in complaining until you see the final product.
