Wow I can't get over the D12 bashing. I don't think he will be the player he was in Orlando but I am very curious to see his offensive game in our modified system. He played the last few years with iso Kobe and iso Harden so I can see how he got frustrated. We all may be shocked to see his offensive game come back with unselfish team mates. I agree he is not a leader but Sap is and a follower personality like Howard's tends to assume the groups dynamic. Hell I could be totally wrong and he is actually a washed up POS but I've got some hope he will surprise some folks

The only thing I wish was that they didn't make it so obvious to Sap that they wanted Horf more. He is consummate pro though and in a contract year so he will still be motivated. They offered more money and more years than any one else. I think Al's ego got hurt when he didn't get a max offer up front and he wants to have the cache of being a max player. I am sure they have a plan to secure a back up PG and Budcox has shown a real knack for finding diamonds in the rough so we may all be shocked when a player none of us are even talking about gets signed and contributes on a bargain basement contract. I'm hoping that may bring some scoring punch from the SF position. Al got his feelings hurt and left Millions of dollars over it IMO. I just don't see this as a failure by the team. Hell they gave him exactly what he had been bitching about for years a real center and the chance to play PF for a playoff team. The plan we have all been screaming for was more size, better rebounding, and interior toughness. They got the best FA to provide those skills I will miss Al's play next year but I will enjoy watching him choke in the playoffs for the Celtics just like he did for us for years. Hopefully against the Hawks!

Hopefully we can lure a decent vet pg (Jarret Jack?) I think we will still be ok. I hope Hardway Jr. takes the same leap in performance that Baze and Demare did in their second years, he showed flashes last year. Milsap D12 and Thabo will be an elite defensive front court. We will also be able to play more aggressive perimeter D with an actual rim protector at center. Our pick and roll with Dennis and D12 could be deadly. Splitter if healthy is a great passer and solid back up center. Dennis could become the star everyone thought he could be and Baze improves again. Korver as a sixth man sharp shooter is where he should be and something most teams would love to have. We will be a better team on the glass next year. This could still be a hell of a year and I hope D12 abuses Horf next season. Other teams may be just as reluctant to max Sap for multi years and if we have a great year maybe we don't have to give him 5 yrs at max to keep him (not shopping his ass would have helped that a lot though). This Sap is gone for sure talk is premature. I don't see the panic and calls to tank when we have an 3 time all star PF, an all star center a very promising young PG that could be a star, a young emerging SG that was highly desired by other teams. A solid sixth man and sharp shooter. Plus a solid back up center and two 1st round picks we have yet to see play. Do I think the Hawks will win the championship next year no if I'm being honest but we have solid veteran bigs, young talent on the wings and potentially a dynamic back court pairing that could be the envy of the league if they continue to develop. Maybe next season will be a train wreck but I just can't see the doom and gloom let's give up yet.

I hope so if he comes back healthy I think he is a great fit behind Dennis.

We can still sign the "Duck" Marvin Williams again I'm sure everyone would love to see him waddle around and be our favorite online whipping boy again lol

Just got a Bleacher Report notification Al informed Hawks they will have a decision tonight so not long to wait now.

Hey that's what makes sports great we all get to watch and then someone gets to talk some friendly smack when they prove the other "dumb ass" wrong! You make a lot of good points I hope for the Hawks sake my optimism proves right though.

I think the biggets lose going to D12 from all is the passing and motion. Hopefully Howard shows he can do those. He was playing with ISO Kobe and ISO Hardin for the past few years so maybe he will surprise us and does the things better. I think his pick and roll with Dennis is going to be deadly as well. Also, if we are not dumping salary to sign Al Tiago is really good at those things so if he stays healthy he can work with D12 and provide good minutes. Almost everyone said we needed to get bigger, better on the glass and more physical I think we will be that this year

If we lose Sap to FA I agree this looks bad but I actually think Sap and D12 fit better than Al and D12. Sap is better clutch scorer and has more offensive skills than Al. He can stretch the floor just as well is a slightly better rebounder in my opinion. Al has been a real disappointment in the playoffs. Sap, D12, and Thabo are an elite defensive front court. If Hardaway makes the same kind of jump in his second season Demarre and Bazemore did we will be good on the wing. A solid back up PG and I think we are a better team on the glass and our D has never had a rim protector like D12 in recent years so I am still optimistic for next year.. Bud has a proven history of getting hidden gems too so a player we don't think much of know may be signed and surprise us all as well.

If the reports that Al is leaning toward Boston or Washington prove to be true what do folks think the rest of our FA signings or trades should be?

Just saw Woj reporting that Al has narrowed his choice to Wiz and Celtics on Dime. Supposed to decide between them tonight.

Peachtree Hoops is reporting Al was not happy with Howard signing. Interesting if true as I have always heard he asked to have a true center to play beside so he can move to the 4. If it's true that may seal the deal on his exit. Wonder if it is a personal issue with Howard do they have past issues I'm unaware. Their source is Zach Klien don't know if he is reliable or not

I definitely hope we do. Throwing a good beat down on the Cavs and Raptors would be huge for the team

What record do people expect for these upcoming games? I will be happy with a split but I think the psychological help of taking two from the Cavs could go a long way to help erase any lingering nerves from last year's ECF. The home game probably more as the Cavs may rest key pieces in the second game and we will likely still be playing hard for the 3 seed. What chance does you give us to win all four or at least take both from the Cavs?

Any win in the Windy City is always welcome. At times the Hawks were a beauty to watch tonight! The streaky shooting gives me heart burn though. When we play bigger teams if we aren't getting points from dribble penetration and striking threes the lack of rebounding worries me. Chicago got a LOT second chance opportunities they couldn't cash in on. Thank goodness they had no answer to Teague and Dennis driving and finishing with floaters and using the glass.

Those look like very reasonable minutes to me. I agree that it will depend on how individuals are playing so many of our guys are streaky and outside of Sap and Horf prone to being very streaky with their shot

I would love to say yes. I think the ECF is realistic maybe even the finals. However I'm not sure we can match the Warriors shot for shot over 7 games and the Spurs will lock us down they have just owned us. I also think the refs would do all they can to get LeBron in the finals of we see them in the ECF. If someone knocks them off though I think we get a fair call in the ECF. Our D is championship caliber but the streaky shooting will have to be on and stay on for any chance at a title

Just curious what other folks think our rotation and minutes should be when we hit the playoffs. Korver has been shooting better lately so how many minutes should THjr take? Hump has earned some quality minutes in my opinion. How should Teague and Shredder get their minutes split. How much does Baze get and where can he log quality minutes at the 3. We are healthier and I think more versatile than last year. Love to hear how people would handle our rotation this year

Who ever Paul Pierce is playing for lol!!! I wouldn't cheer for his team if they were playing ISIS or Al Queda. Out side the Wiz in division and one more competitive series with the Cav's and that could emerge!

Your welcome I'm not a a definitive source for Batman lore and it was only about 20 years ago when I was reading it but at least this new generation of movies are using some of the great stories from the comics and not crappy scripts written by people who probably never read the comics about the characters they are writing. The original Robin d*ck Grayson went on to become Nightwing but then Batman got a second Robin Jason Todd I think was the characters name but not sure. The Joker killed him in an explosion right before Batman could save him and then after that Bruce Wayne's son Damian became Robin. I think they may have even had a female Robin for a bit. There are so many Batman comics it's hard to keep them all straight. I was just thinking that maybe in the movie plot Robin's death lead to Bruce Wayne retiring like in the Dark Knight returns and he keeps the suit with Joker's graffiti as a reminder of his failure or something. Then in the trailer Superman knocks down Wayne Towers at the end of Man of Steel and kills a bunch of Bruce's employees and friends and he decided he didn't avenge Robin but he will avenge them. Could be totally off but I think that would be a great plot for Batman going all out to take down Superman. The paper with the writing mocking him also makes me think it was Joker taunting Batman about failing to save Robin and then the people in the buildings. I read in the movie Gotham and Metroplois are across a river like New York and New Jersey so that is why the Zod Superman fight knocks down Wayne Tower. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I really had my doubts about Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne but after watching that trailer I am really excited about this movie. They seem to have a plausible reason for the superman batman conflict. Looks like they may be setting up a relationship between Wonder Woman and Batman which would definitely make a pairing of them a more believable match up for Superman in a fight. I think they are using Frank Miller's Batman work as a plot inspiration which will also make an older Bruce Wayne make sense. That Bat Armor suit looked just like the suit from the graphic novel. I also am really curious about the spray painted Robin suit and how that is in the story guessing a Robin is dead in the story probably killed by Joker. I thought the Chris Evans casting as Captain America was horrible and he totally proved me wrong so really hoping Ben Affleck does the same. A dark a gritty DC cinematic universe would be a great offset to Marvel's style. I also totally agree with AHF in the fact it is ironic because I always thought Marvel's comics were the grounded believable ones and DC the over top Super Powered ones. Saw on Bleacher Report Team Stream a Vivamore tweet where he quoted Ressler saying that he always expects the payroll to exceed the cap and be close to the lux tax & it's an ownership requirement to spend the money necessary to be field a quality team. Time will tell if they truly put their money where their mouth is. This group has plenty of cash though hopefully Bud finds the right players to give it too.
