  1. Not sure where Joe's game is at right now but he is definitely a SF now and a good sized one as well. But one of his houses is in Miami I read somewhere. Sounds like he is probably in Miami for the future. I'm sure his contract for next year will look so much more affordable than the abusive past one. Still, he's not a Bud ball type of player because ball stays in his hands .
  2. Guessing that a year from now Korver is gone and Hardaway is the decent minutes backup SG. Depending on if Baze is back going with him starting and having Thabo for some matches ups could work. Needs to keep working on his threes. This is based on getting a starting caliber true SF however we can. I know Thabo is getting older but I would extend him past his current contract year. His offense is up and down but what a big time defender. So after all my hot air I'm going with Baze and hopefully his improved threes.
  3. Moose doesn't live up to his nickname. Has he ever seen the inside of a weight room? He is pushed around handily whenever he plays.
  4. It took most of the season but Hardaway actually did fit the scheme unfortunately his shot would disappear just like Korver's. Judging by Hardaway's past I would have never figured that he would ever fit. Next year should be better for him, as Korver said it is the second year things start to click for newcomers to this scheme. Noel though, can't shoot and Bud wants all his bigs to be able to hit from long range. A pretty big stretch for our coaching staff to be able to coach his offense up much.
  5. Maybe resign Humph and give him a hit list for each game. He might enjoy the job description.
  6. Noel excels at trashing out houses so maybe he has that mean streak and glass eating ability we need so badly.
  7. At least Sap and Humph were on board. Al and Moose even in the same sentence makes me really worried about a giant future investment in Al. Fives years of it to boot.
  8. If it's between Al and Sap this year, Sap is not as flawed as Al. It's the bunnies that are missed at crucial times of the games. Right now Al doesn't compare well with Al of the past where he averaged nine or more rebounds. Sap is a blue collar player that is good at everything.

    Schröder.

Agreed. A year from now is going to be interesting trying to keep both. If one does leave by trade or bolting a year from now I'm guessing a second round pick (not likely a first in 2016 or 2017) and a journeyman as backups. In this years draft the nbadraft.net site at one time speculated we would take Gary Payton II. He has the right DNA.
  10. Just wanted to say that even though I've been railing on Al, he along with Sap and Playoff Teague of past he is one of my favorite Hawks. That being said they all have serious flaws considering they are Allstars. Right now nothing should be set in stone with them even though Bud just really, really, really loves this group.
  11. Wether Al is back or not the weakest front court player is Moose. Keep Humph over him. At least Scott can score and help win some games (his improved defense still bites though). Feels like we would survive with Tiago, Humph and Edy in the middle as you said. Find that alpha dog for the swing player. Biyumbo can really rebound so that is a good thought.
  12. JayBird posted on another thread that we have to have a leader to take the next step. That role has been laid at Al's feet for years but he is too calm and apparently wants nothing to do with it. Heck, this year he stopped playing center in reality. Not the leader we need.
  13. The TNT crew were great players but listening to their analysis of anything makes me feel like a genius. They are wrong the majority of the time and now Kenny has a creative memory of the Hawks FA pursuits .

    Damn, Bud

We won't ever know why Bud didn't use Humph when I believe he was the most efficient player in the playoffs for us. I mean really what is going in Bud's head at the end of games. I give him credit for putting Thabo on the floor and finally bringing Korver off the bench though much too late. The mistakes in the regular season are one thing but clean it up for the big stage Bud.
  15. I think we did compete in three games with the Cavs. Not winning those games is a combination of the players (mainly starters) and Bud together stink at closing out big games and both Al and Bud are allergic to the glass. Your right that we didn't beat them and it bites.
  16. Wow, I can't imagine falling apart like the Bulls and Wizards did this year. Still its really wide open as to who is on the roster next year. Al and Sap together are good but its incredible how often we are out rebounded. Without improvement on the glass its very possible we regress. Both Al and Sap moving on up in age as well. A somewhat scary thought.

    Damn, Bud

Some of Bud's playoff coaching has been like watching Sap missing all those two foot bunnies during the year. Logic has been defied. We all need better.
  18. Hawks were in three of four games but LeBron in the clutch and the Cavs three point shooting was to much of a mountain to scale. Keep Humph around for next year and use him in the playoffs.
  19. Hawks made it ever so close but LeBron finished it. Wish you could have had a Mother's Day Hawk win.
  20. Might be in a better situation especially cap wise going with Tiago, Humph and Edy in the middle even though it sounds kinda desperate. I think we can get 48 minutes from them and a lot of play in the paint. Upgrade as best we can at the swing positions. Also, Bud needs to improve a bunch. Jeez.
  21. Don't know what the cost is but I feel Humph has earned a roster spot here for next year. A lot of aggressiveness around the paint and he actually has shooting range. Should have been utilized so much more in the playoffs. Post playoff deflation coming on strong.
  22. We competed in three of the four games and this one came down to the wire. Don't think I will ever understand under using Humph. He had seven rebounds and blocked three shots in twelve minutes! Really questioning Bud right now.
  23. Humph is +5 in seven minutes and Al is -4 in eighteen minutes Humph has three more rebounds than Al. Come on Bud!
  24. Toronto just stated their center Val is out for the series. Thats really messed up.
  25. Humph's playoff per is outstanding so it should be a given he gets thirty minutes or more especially with his aggression on the glass. Being down three games to zip maybe Bud will actually use some common sense.
