Official Game Thread: Cavaliers at Hawks GAME 4
Thomas replied to lethalweapon3's topic in Homecourt
What team are you a fan of? Doesn't sound like a lot of support for the Hawks. Plus my mom passed away in '96. Hope that gives you a little pause with the attitude.- 90 replies

Crazy good! If we can get some of those rebounds and play a full 48, just maybe.- 90 replies

Great writeup. I hope it is very interesting how much investment is made in players for the team this off season as opposed to not being interesting for keeping the status quo. What will Ressler do about that SF problem among others if he does get his hands involved. Maybe he will be our Mark Cuban (I realize Cuban is unique).- 90 replies

With all the rebuilding topics let's think about this....
Thomas replied to ViewsFromTheSquawk's topic in Homecourt
Crazy NBA world we will be living in when Al at the age of 35 makes 30 mil and it seems like a bargain. Apparently that is the future norm. -
It is kinda similar to when we got the older Moses Malone and Reggie Theus. They were suppose to take us to the ECF or the title. It didn't work out and I fear D12 would bring the same disappointment.
-
Sorry for my poor spelling. I surely hope we don't pay. Come on Hawks. Also, come on Bud and coach a whole 48 minutes!
-
Hawks paying on Mother's Day. The only thing better would playing for the title on any day. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!
-
OK I'll bite on this. We would have to really manage this reoccurring locker room stigma or chemistry in general D12 has. I do completely agree about the rebounding. If we are begging Bud to give Humph as many minutes as possible to hit the glass then the starting five or scheme is flawed. D12 is turning down over twenty mil so what will he cost? Believe he actually mentioned us during the season but at that time it scared the heck out of me. I'm conflicted.

Thompson at the foul line is a better option than getting abused by all these three pointers. Doesn't seem possible the Cavs can keep it up but the curse we have playing in the playoffs may allow it. I wouldn't want Humph fouling out so maybe Moose gets a foul called on him every thirty seconds. Moose is terrible against those guys anyway.
-
Teague is the only player in that lineup that would (not could) get to the foul line. Joe was clutch a good bit but as it has already has been said none of the guys are HOFers. Winning it all takes one or two (not counting the Billups Detroit team). Detroit was an aberration to the must have a HOF philosophy. Possibly they could make out of the East but I think that's the ceiling.

It turns out both the Heat and Raptors lost their centers in todays game. Wonder who will be able to suit up next game?
-
Whiteside got hurt tonight. Wonder how many minutes he will be good for in the next few games. Miami seems fragile when thinking about them facing the Cavs, if they do face the Cavs.

Five years at the max is too far.

LeBron's mom got a Hummer on LeBron's rep while he was still in high school. Like mother like son. A serious diva but what great flopper.
-
I surely wish Hoford had the same mindset as Duncan. Al is a multimillionaire so if he put the team first he could get his five contract but could also give the Hawks a discount like Tim has for the Spurs. Guessing it's a pipe dream. My hats off to Tim.
-
I agree with the front court lineup for the majority of minutes. If nothing else let's see if it works. Humph really is aggressive on the glass and we are desperate for rebounds due to a flaw in Bud's philosophy. The rebounding flaw. Someone has to get hot from outside too.

What do people think of Luke Walton Hire?
Thomas replied to capstone21's topic in Around the Association
Right now they only have three starters or four if you count Nance. I think only Randle would start on a winning team now. How much patience will the Lakers have. I believe Walton will have two or three years to win. Odds aren't good for him. -
Al use to average over nine rebounds a game and now he is allergic to glass. When he was in the paint his defense was good unless he was outweighed by thirty pounds. Like people have stated, he does seem to be protecting himself physically. When he gets the contract will he be back to form? If so we will really need him.
-
Adams not getting shots and Westbrook misses over twenty shots. Wow.
-
Hey Spursfan, in a close game Duncan didn't play hardly at all. Are you surprised?
-
I really like your bench assuming Korver doesn't fall off anymore. The starters would bring good offense.

Horf going to be a Hawk next season? or no?
Thomas replied to Spursfanpeacemaker's topic in Homecourt
Yea, Horf does not have the typical last contract year mindset. Normally players play lights out to secure the next big contract. Surprising to me. -

Official Game Thread: Cavaliers at Hawks GAME 3
Thomas replied to lethalweapon3's topic in Homecourt
"We're a team that's destined for greatness," James said. Like salt in our open wound. They can make us look really bad even with us having our best game of the series. Closing out is not our thing. Hope we take a least the next game with a strong 48 minutes.- 106 replies
