  1. During the season he messed with his Facebook page and also put his condo on the market and a lot people assumed he was definitely going to be traded. Didn't happen.
  2. We know what Black Ops style training did to Tiger's career. I agree with you about beating LeBron in the playoffs because that game on Sunday was the closest we have been. One freaking point. Got to become a close the game out team now.
  3. A number of the players on other teams have a second residence here and most players compliment the city. Never fully understood FAs in general not wanting to play here other than the Spirit. The Spirit were inconsistent with their wallets. They sure opened them to keep Joe here though.
  4. Just afraid if we do rebuild at this point we might not be playoff bound until LeBron is retired. Seems like it took forever to have even a winning season the last time we started over. Oddly we did made the playoffs that first year of our run with a losing record. Still, it took a really long time and I don't want to be senile by the time we win again.
  5. One thing Derozan would help with is the number of foul shots we would take every game. That would help with the win total since we don't average many as is.
  6. I do realize I,m talking about summer league but Edy seemed fast enough down the court. Blocked a shot on one end and followed up a missed fast break shot on the other end in one sequence.
  7. Yea , I think Edy will work out for us. Patience for us all to see him getting minutes is being strained especially with our need against the Cavs of having all the C minutes played like a C (a lot more rebounds and blocks). Guessing Edy's NBA career will have a lot more total minutes than Lucas. Hopefully a ton more impact.
  8. That does seem likely with the blueprint Bud has for winning. Consistency with the system because new players take a while to learn it. I hope they do at least bring in a bigger vet SF and a first rounder SF (maybe Prince) plus have Korver come off the bench at either swing spots. Korver will hit 36 sometime next season. Yikes.
  9. Viv is where the saying "consider the source" comes from in reference to Bud nixing one or more trades. No one knew Mack and Holiday would be gone in Feb. Expecting Bud to even hint or leak that type of information is futile.
  10. Melo and J.R. as the wings must of been a nightmare for the coaching staff. Back then J.R.s highlights were pulling down other players socks .LeBron must of had an intense face to face with him. Melo just seems like a selfish guy and probable locker room issue waiting to ruin things.
  11. I truly hope to shut down the potential coaching up a player for another team cycle now. Baze is not perfect but his hustle needs to be in a Hawk's uniform.
  12. Bet Luke would really appreciate that. That gives the Lakers four out of five starters.
  13. Melo is showing age due to his nagging injuries. They have shut him down from playing stretches of games two different times over the past two years . Damaged goods that has a serious price tag.
  14. I do think we would survive with Tiago and Humph and then Edy progressing as fast as possible. Nagging injuries to Tiago could be the flaw though. Our medical staff is suppose to be good in conditioning and injury prevention. Might be the year to really find out especially if Al's negotiations derail.
  15. Yea, you just can't rewind to D12's Orlando days. That said he was a problem in both L.A. and now in Houston. Don't think Bud wants to tolerate him with so much baggage.
  16. People talk about Whiteside's low BBIQ but all those rebounds and blocking all those shots are enticing. He actually scores pretty well on just a few shots. Always comes down to the money. He can't be as much of a diva as D12. That would be impossible, right?
  17. Agreed. If Korver does fall off some more Then Thabo's defense is a strong option at backup SF.
  18. Thanks. That leaves it wide open even though Bud says he likes what had on the floor this year.
  19. Would the fifth year be the make or break then? Someone in a post said Al mentioned a five year contract at some point.
  20. If DMC was coached by Bud as a rookie how soon would he have become the 3 and D player he is? Thinking he would have progressed a good bit faster. Maybe that would apply to Prince to the point he gives good minutes at some point during his first season. His second year he should be getting comfortable with the scheme.
  21. Is there a possibility of signing and trading Al? Not just would a team take on that fat contract but would he be willing to go anywhere that can afford him. I'm thinking most options are teams with losing records. He's hitting his thirties and I'm guessing he would only go to a team one piece away going after the title. If we do lose him I would hope for return even though we might do really well with the cap space. If he stays I would hope he will play like real center! So much money involved.
  22. That's seriously depressing there Dnice. The day after feels like getting dumped. Just like the Cavs did to us.
  23. So our starters are probably Dennis, Baze, Sap, Horford and D12?
  24. Thinking about this more and the Laker's may keep their first round pick (not sure) and have cap space galore. So it's really gonna be up to Mitch to make it doable. He's pulled off big moves in the past. Interesting to see their roster on opening day.
  25. He's been described as a DMC type of workhorse. Coach up his three pointer and maybe we have our new DMC/Bruce Bowen type of 3 and D. He improves our size at the position. He really seems like he will put in the work.
