  1. I didn't watch the game but the box score is crazy. Monroe and Jennings have a +/- of around -30 each in 30 minutes. Drummond also played 30 minutes and had a +/- of +1 in a game they got blown out in. Smith of course has a horrible line. Its really starting to seem like Dumars just lucked into that championship team. Smith is untradeable but you have to get him to the 4. Which i guess would mean trading Drummond. I'd be happy to take Monroe off their hands.
  2. Pero: You know Dennis you hava verry thick ahccent.

    Lou Update

If Jenkins doesn't get some playing time soon and do well he's going to be looking at garbage time again this year.
  4. I see this was before the game? We outrebounded them by 1 mainly thanks to Brand and DMC.
  5. Bud has exceeded my expectations so far. I would hope that if Melo gets hot he will run everyone we've got at him and force him to drive the ball.

  7. Oops. Thanks for the correction. Still a home game for the Knicks of course.
  8. As my friend's father used to say "nothing good happens after midnight".
  9. Drummond is shooting 64% from the field and is 5th on the team in shots per game. Granted rebounds account for a lot of his shots i'm sure but still. As predicted Jennings and Josh are chucking it this year and Stucky wants in on the action. They have some players but they need to make some trades to get better balance.
  10. ESPN-MSG. The fix may be on unless of course they are trying to get Woody fired.
  11. Horford and Millsap got to play fewer minutes because Brand and Scott were pretty effective. Mack had a great 8 minutes too. No Pero tonight. I wonder if Bud has seen enough for now?
  12. Dittos. Brand looked good. Mike Scott is making the rotation. We are off to a pretty good start i think is an understatement. The games we lost were very close and even though we've played some bad teams so far we've had a lot of road games. The one thing that i hoped and thought would happen with this group is that they'd refuse to get blown out. I know i shouldn't be saying it right before the Knicks game but so far so good.
  13. Good lord. Could you be more blatant about this? So they want to create an easy way for fans from the north and east of cobb to get to the game as long as it doesn't allow 'people' from Atlanta into Cobb????? Because obviously by the unquestioned 'fan map' there are ZERO braves fans in the city. This is friggin unbelievably offensive. If the state puts any money toward running a friggin rail across the northern arc i'm going to hemorrhage. Good friggin riddence. Enjoy dealing with these ass clowns who won't pay for anything and want to build a moat at 285
  14. Go Hawks. They are looking better every game. We need to play some better teams to see what we've really got but its already hard to make the case that Ferry hasn't improved this team while at the same time cutting salary and obligations.
  15. Geez the first things that popped in my mind were not positive ones: infield fly eric gregg andruw jones walk off walk against kenny rogers chipper jones bobble head night Greg Maddux - that's the biggest. One of the greatest pitchers of all time
  16. Don't know what you mean by that but the stadium will not be in the city limits. We know they aren't changing the name but it's fun to poke. An Atlanta address means diddily squat.
  17. Well as was suggested they can ditch their offensive moniker now. How about the Cobb Cherokee to honor...oh wait
  18. That's exactly what i think and really is the sad state of affairs of the nba. Barring injuries the top 3-4 teams you could pick with 99% certainty when the season starts.
  19. That's the one part i'm still hopeful on. And for those tech oriented folks out there i find it funny that the home of the braves site explaining all this still has the default WordPress icon as the site icon rather than a Braves one. Seems kind of thrown together.
  20. Kasim Reed, who I think hasn't done a good job as mayor anyway, has just had his legacy thrown in the garbage can. He lets the team that really put Atlanta on the national map walk without a fight while he's busy kissing Arthur Blank's ass. Epic Fail.
  21. Real development was approaching that area anyway though for the first time ever. No help from the city or the Braves but Old Fourth Ward and Grant Park are doing well. But to go with your thought this new place isn't accessible. It may be on paper closer to some folks but it suuuuucks to get to from just about anywhere. And people live out of the city because they like the lifestyle out there better and prefer watching sports in their basement man cave with 60 inch tvs rather than fighting crowds. It won't matter whether its Turner field or Six Flags Braves. There are places i could have understood a move but this is a horrible location. Schurholtz's message is so full of arrogance it's offensive. Wait till the honeymoon is over. This will be awful attendance. Think how bad traffic was going to the Braves games when you are going against traffic. Now you'll be in the same rush hour that eveyone else going home is in.
  22. Never let little things like this get in the way of an agenda. Basically the Braves are disappointed in their relative lack of handouts. (the stadium itself of course excluded) in the wake of Arthur Blank's vip treatment by the mayor. Thank god there are a lot of great non sports things happening in this city compared to 20-30 years ago.
  23. Cancel their lease. Let them play in gwinnett until their stupid new stadium is built.
