I'm just not seeing where that is significantly different other than I will say we were stronger at the 2 because we had Lou or Harris available. Other than that we replaced Josh with Sap, Zaza with Brand, and Deshawn with Carroll. If Lou was healthy i'd argue we have just as much talent.

Show some accountability. If you fail the field sobriety tests and refuse the breathalyzer that's a problem. There's obviously some legal gaming going on here when he could plead no contest, get his license suspended, get community service, 2 game suspension and move on. Be glad no one got hurt and learn a lesson. Why he wants this cloud over him just to get out of probably a deserved DUI is beyond me. No one is going to believe he was innocent anyway. LD would certainly get this team in the playoffs. Hopefully Bud is as good or better. Milsap may have some wink-wink deal but all I know is that Korver and Brand, while i'm sure motivated by money like everyone, are at the point where they are looking to win. They see something going on here and they know more than me. Regular season is different than the playoffs and this team can definitely win regular season games. Hopefully by February we may have the chance to get an impact player to help with the playoffs.

Last year when we lost Joe Johnson and only replaced him with the Nets bench players people talked about how much we would miss Joe and how much we would suck. We were just as good if not better than his last year here. Now we've lost Josh and Zaza and replaced them with Milsap and Brand and now we're going to totally suck. We'll see. The real truth is no one wants to get behind a team that doesn't have a superstar or wannabe superstar. There are big question marks around everyone in the east except maybe Indy, Chicago, and Miami. NIce of them to suggest we jettison Al for a pile of crap from Chicago so he can team up with Noah. Hopefully we are in a new Hawks era.

Man we have a lot of guys who'd prefer to play PF: Horford, milsap, brand, scott, Antić. I wouldn't mind seeing scott play some 3. I don't know if he can defend it but we had Smoove defending the 3 last year on some guys. I agree that he has been impressive almost every time he's hit the floor for the Hawks.

I think so. I think Ferry is all about being ready to take an opportunity when it arises rather than picking up the best person available in the offseason. I also thinks he believes that trade is the best way to add talent. So I think he wants to have the assets, money, and cap space to pull off the next Pau or Harden trade when someone is ready to dump. I think he also realizes that these opportunities are going to come up more than in the past because of the new cap and tax rules.

Damn that's crazy about Chipper. I was wondering why homer caught that. That had to be the dumbest looking first pitch ever. I love McCann and hate for him not to be a Brave but i'm officially pissed that he couldn't get the bat off his shoulder in 4 ABs. There is no tomorrow. Quit taking pitches and swing at something dammit. And if Chipper is throwing out the first pitch you go and catch it. I used to feel that way but to me he has mishandled Uggla since he's been here. He seems intimidated by Uggla. Even Cox knew you had to save the game in the 8th. Tying run on second with no outs? Bring in the closer. That alone isn't enough to fire him but i'm not sure he is a championship level manager. Still he's good but at some point you have to change the culture of just being a good team that can't rise to the occasion. Dusty may not be the answer but i can tell you for sure he isn't going to continually trot out guys batting in the low .100s day after day. I mean we're talking guys batting under .100 in some situations that are still getting full time play. Freddie needs to get credit for going with Garcia rather than medlen though. That was a great move.

We do have to keep in mind that the Heat have really no new players, are the two time champs. I mean they aren't working things out. They know what they are doing. We've got almost a completely new team with a new coach, new system.

Defensive line, linebackers, offensive line are all bad. Mostly but not completely because of injuries. Running game is average and outside of Julio and Tony no really good receivers. It all spells a really poor football team. Injuries are a big deal though. We've had a lot. Still should be able to beat the Jets though.

I know Bud has been a key coach for a championship franchise in the NBA but everytime they showed the bench I had horrible Lon Kruger flashbacks. Geez I hope he knows what he's doing.
